Inside the store is packed to the brim with everything you want in a butchery/meat market. I also love that they still have a butcher block in the back and that they have their bundle prices listed on the wall. You can choose from their cooler of meats or get a specialty cut from the back. They also sell local grocery items like canned goods, candy, sodas, etc. Although they were busy for the fourth, the service was still prompt and exceptional. Ramel and Angel McCann are the owners, Ramel does the cooking and Angel is the "personality." Since the game began at 8:00 pm they were serving dinner food. Neither of us had ever had whiting fish so Angel gave us a sample. The fish was moist with great flavor and the breading was perfect. It was not greasy, but crisp with a wonderful flavor. We order the whiting fish sandwich, while Lisa had fried okra and I had onion rings. Both sides were superb. The dinner menu is attached.
