There were several interactive and fun obstacles along the way which the kids loved. The views of the forest from 40m up are beautiful, but the highlight, of course, was the slide back down the tower for an additional €2 each. The kids loved it so much they went a second time! Cute gift shop and really fun looking playground which we, unfortunately, missed out on. It closes one hour before the rest of the park so be sure not to lose track of time like we did!

Clean bathrooms in the building where the tram thing stops (upstairs). Walk a little bit to buy a ticket and then get on this walkway through the trees. This is easily accessible with stroller/wheelchair all the way to the top. There are a few stops along the way with educational items for kids/adults as well as a few places with obstacle courses. The kids loved them although the ones later got harder so the younger kids needed help. And then you get to the end and climb, round and round. What a cool adventure and the view from the top is ... lots of trees... but it's still very neat. The slide costs extra $$. I think it was 2 euro per person. My 2 sons and I went. They say the age limit is 6, but one of mine is a tall 4 and he loved it. You could hear them giggling all the way down which was cute. Clean bathrooms here and a nice little gift shop. The walk back to the building/parking is fairly flat. There was parking here, but the walk up was quite steep. I grabbed a brochure and it looks like there are a few of these so we may try to go to another one at a different location. Different experience.

If you want to include this, buy the ticket upfront. I was terrified to take the slide down the spiral lookout tower and screamed the whole way down. I love/hated it. The view at the top is spectacular! This is a great place for adults and children. The food and the gifts in the shop were all reasonably priced. Just FYI, the German husband loved the apfel kuchen here. We did go over the Hanging Bridge. It was a windy day and my adrenaline had been activated by the slide so going across this was very hard for me. We hiked back instead of taking the bridge back which was hard because there is no clear way to do this. We had to hike over rocks and tall grass to find a trail that went back to the park. We really enjoyed the scenery here and the creative use of outdoor land to educate and entertain.

The tree lined bridge, 7Euros per, swung a little bit while walking but wasn't scary. I did most of the challenges, though the last got me. The steps were connected by chains and ropes but it swung too much for me to handle. ( i didn't complete it). Fear factor: 4 out of 5. The next location was the spiral pathway that climbed up to 30 meters that overlooked the black forest and nearby towns. The climb up the spiral pathway was about 20 minutes but taking the sit down ride for 2 Euro, the enclosed tunnel was quick. Fear factor: 2. It was a blast. We're at the suspension bridge but for me the cost of plucking down 9.50 E per person was costly and i decided not to go. My wife and sister in law went. Took about 30 m. No wind for that day and they return within 30 minutes. There was another place to have fun was a huge trampoline mostly for small kids. We decided not to go as it was costly area, 9.5 E per person. Overall we loved the place. Would go back, next year.

If you're going to drink from it, I would not suggest filling your water bottle from the pool but instead the spigot. Yes, it's drinkable. There are news articles showing Mayor Alexander Uhlig filling his water bottle at one of the fountains. It's quite shocking. This is my sixth, second in Germany. The term "Stolpersteine" translates to stumbling stone though they are installed flush to the ground so you don't actually stumble. It is a commemorative project initiated by artist Gunter Deming and there are more than 70,000 of these stones across 1200 cities in Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Hungary, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Moldova, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland and Ukraine. More than just Jews, they honor all victims of the National Socialist regime, including Sinti, Roma, disabled, dissident, and Afro-German and "asocial" citizens. One per victim, each stone begins with "Here lived", followed by the victim's name, date of birth, and fate: internment, suicide, exile or, in the vast majority of cases, deportation and murder. This stone remembers Emma Baier. It reads, "Here lived Emma Baier. Born 1877. Admitted 1929 Heilanstalt Emmendingen [I believe this may have been a psychiatric hospital or nursing home]. Nonetheless it is a fountain and the water is potable. The stone needs some cleaning so if you are thinking of drinking, use the running water and not the standing water.
