It is set in a very old building near the main church. The subject matter goes from the roman involvement in the city 2000 years ago until modern times. I would highly recommend if you are in the area to stop in and take a look around. One tip- when you walk in it appears small, but the 3rd floor is where it opens up and you really appreciate the size of the collection.

The Glass Museum in Wertheim sells some really pretty glass items. Also they have demonstrations…read moreand allow you to blow your own ornament and decorate it to take home - which is neat. I wish we'd had time to do that. Wertheim has a ton of glass products and glass shops and stores with a few pretty well-known and skilled glass artists. Something that was neat to learn about such a small town. Apparently they do a lot of industrial and scientific glass in Wertheim - not just pretty and decorative things.
