English translation: I'm home Manderscheid, it feels so good to come back and revisit the castle that I spent many years running through as a child. my Oma and papa's house overlook the Niederburg and it's such a fun walk down! The Neiderburg is a historic 12th century medical fortress located in the Eifel. It sits on a hill overlooking the Lieser River. My Oma and Opa's house has the best views of the castle. My heart is in such joy as we spent the morning and afternoon walking and playing in the castle. My little one absolutely loved it and we enjoyed a nice picnic near the river with bratwurst, salat and yummy desserts.
