City of Stuttgart, Germany…read more
My brother resides in Stuttgart so we explored around his neighborhood. Around his hood we did evening walks that took us to the Altstadt (Old Town), to Leonberg where we enjoyed the cover bands during MusicVille on Tuesday evenings. How fun! Who gathers like this on a weekday! I love it. There were also food trucks and food vendors.
My brother presented me many food options and we tried and dined at Thai 2000 Imbiss in Leonberg. Abacco's Steakhouse (steak grilled on a hot stone), Block House and Unami Ramen Bar at the Market Place in Baden-Württemberg.
Elsewhere we visited were:
Ritter Sport Museum in Waldenbuch
Mercedes-Benz Museum
Market Square
Rathaus
Esslingen
The paternosters inside the Rathaus (City Hall) was another interesting experience. My brother wanted me to experience riding a doorless elevator. They move in a constant loop at a gentle pace but still... it was a bit scary riding the first time. These are not your normal elevators LoL!
The Mercedes-Benz Museum was amazing. We spent 3 hours in this museum. We were unable to visit the Porsche museum though (bummer).
The Hauptbahnhof (Main Railway Station) became a major part of our travels around Stuttgart because it was easier taking the trains and buses instead of navigating through traffic and finding parking while driving into town.
So many things to see and do in Stuttgart. My brother is also a veteran from the U.S. Air Force and currently working for Space Force so we had access to the commissary and AAFES for some shopping.
I loved the vibe especially in the city of Esslingen am Neckar.
