For a little place, they've actually got quite a lot on here…read more The pool, it's small, but you don't need a huge one if you're just doing lengths (and the number of lengths you do always sounds more impressive with less effort, haha!) it has lessons, scuba and snorkelling sessions, adult only swims, women only swims, early birds, aquarobics and the ability for kids parties, with or without the big inflatable. The changing rooms have recently been redone, which is far better. In the main building, there is a reasonably sized sports hall, a reasonably kitted out gym, a toning suite, and a spin room. The gym kit is nicely varied, the only thing they really lack as with most small gyms is the heavier weights. The sports hall hosts classes such as circuits, pilates, yoga, martial arts etc etc. You can have a membership, or pay for one off entries and classes.

It is located just outside of Stafford town centre and is situated on a retail park which now hasa huge Next, New Look and Dunelm so you can spend quite a while here. The Sports Arena is nice and clean when you walk in and there is a small reception area straight away where you can find out where you want to go. Now they have great facilities including fitting rooms, toilets and steam rooms which are very nice indeed as you can imagine. There are massive courts there which there are always people playing football there which is nice to see. Then the gym is upstairs which has great equipment and is extremely cheap to join which is nice to know. They also do fitness classes at the Sports Arena so you can literally keep fit in whatever way you want. It is a nice sports arena and I do reccommend to people if you fancy like doing a bit of fitness so do not purely think that due to the name it is just about sports. When putting together a Weekly Yelp on fun things to do in the city, I spotted Mohamade A's review of this place and bookmarked it for something new to do on a Sunday. After a mad Friday night and busy Saturday, I just wanted to get out of house and do something fun (but not too intensive). Mini golf seemed to be the perfect low energy, silly activity for me and Dan to enjoy. First thing to note, Star City can be accessed by bus but offers plentiful free parking if you plan on driving. I haven't been here in a few years and was surprised to see quite a few newer businesses here (including at least a couple of independents). Adventure Island is at the front of the building and easy to spot with it's clear signage. As we had to get to the supermarket before it closed (ROCK'N'ROLL), we opted to do 18 holes instead of the full course. There are two different courses to choose from and you can do one for £6.45, the full 36 for £10.95 or there are combo deals for bowling and lazer tag as well. We decided on the "Lost Hut Trail" and off we went! Thus proceeded 45 minutes of frustration, fun and giggles around the course. In retrospect, we wish we had done both or opted for the "Hidden Cove" course (which boasts a volcano in the middle), but we will be back to try this at some point. It's of note that the venue has a bar (for golf/beer times) and does a 2-4-1 offer on a Wednesday. It would make a fun place for a date or a birthday party. Yeah, it's not high brow entertainment... but if you want to challenge someone to a duel - there are worse ways than with a miniture putter and a brightly coloured plastic ball. Recommended.

This is a natural attraction for all kinds of wildlife. There's a visitor centre manned by friendly and knowledgeable staff who take pride in their work. There's a Ranger Service too which is always on hand to help with education. Get children involved early with the Plantsbrook Young Explorers club which meet every third Saturday of the month, it's for 7 - 11 year olds and membership is absolutely free. Of course this area is used by the usual dog-walkers, joggers, strollers and so on but my advice when you pay a visit is to get involved, ask the staff about stuff, you'll be surprised what you learn.

On Tuesday 28th September 2021. I went to Wolverhampton Swimming and Fitness Centre for Aqua fit…read moresession for 8pm.  During the class, my locker was broken into and my valuables were stolen which included my car keys, purse, bank cards, house keys, mobile phone and clothes.  The whole bag was taken from the above locker which someone smashed the plastic panel in between the lockers and pulled my bag out.  My car was stolen and my credit and debit cards were used at Tesco Express petrol station and Co-op nearby around 8.30pm   I found the customer service at the gym terrible. I thought they would have offered me a private room to sit, but I was standing in the reception with my swimsuit and towel wrapped around me, while public were walking past me. I went to look for my car in the heavy rain, and a couple of staff members helped but I knew it had been stolen.  The public were more supportive than the staff.  The manager was a young girl. I kept telling her to ring the police and she stood there with her phone and saying she can't get through to them and did not bother to proceed with the call. She did not even dial 999 only 101. My husband arrives and picked me up and we rang the police ourselves and got through straightaway.  The staff didn't seem that bothered which made me suspicious with their actions. The duty manager rang 101 but was on the phone for half an hour to them and said had no joy.  The 101-phone call lasts less than 5 minutes. They should be compensating me for my valuables and my car because it is your staffs and sites responsibility to provide a duty of care, security and safety.  Also, today 01/10/21 the police viewed the CCTV with staff and they found the culprits on CCTV.   But on 30/09/21 the female duty manager rang (approx. 6pm) and said that operational manager had viewed the CCTV and there was nothing on there.  How can the Operations manager not find anything on the CCTV, yet the duty manager could. Also, one of your staff has lets these criminals on site, how can this be? Surely, they would need membership or at least sign in. It is obvious that they have not done their job properly. I am totally disgusted in how everything was dealt with.
