The IRS reticently asked for a copy of the S Corp paperwork. I did not have a copy in my files and neither does RMT. In addition several deductions were made that my business was not qualified for resulting in an audit and now owing IRS several thousand dollars on past tax years. They have a secure server where you upload your documents, which is nice. You don't have to go into the office if you don't want, which is also nice. That's really where it ends. We were told that if we got our documents in by a certain date that they would be filed by the deadline. I literally submitted them the day that they said. They emailed about a week later saying they need my Social and my husbands in order to submit an extension. I totally understood because I did get it in at the deadline. So, fast forward to the day before tax deadline and they request a pin from me. I had no idea I needed a pin to submit my taxes electronically. So I tried getting it through the IRS, they said they can't give them out, long story, so I needed to file via paper. Okay, well that sucks, but it is what it is. I would have waited for the pin to come by mail and file electronically, but when I asked about the extension filed, the office said they couldn't file the extension because they needed a pin, even though I had an email from them from the week before stating they had filed the extension already. When I brought up my concerns, I heard NOTHING, literally no response from them. In addition to this, I was copied on an email in which someones social was included in the email. I replied that it was sent to the wrong email and immediately deleted all record of the email, because I know I would be angry if I knew my social was being sent through email. Ultimately, I will not be using this company again. I would also ensure that everything is filed and completed prior to payment, I didn't, and I regret it. Poor customer service in the end.

They are not the least expensive accounting firm in the area, but they more than earn back their fee in the time, money and stress that they save you. Fran is very meticulous and attentive to detail while still being very warm and easy to work with, and their entire process is laid out for you in an electronic organizer that they provide, so that you know if you're missing any documents that they need to prepare your return. Additionally, if you have a corporation, I highly recommend having Coet2 prepare your quarterly payroll and year-end corporate taxes. These seem like a small thing, but accounting is my most hated business task and payroll taxes used to cause me a lot of problems. Coet2's staffer Barb Arnold now handles everything for me and has completely streamlined my payroll process at a very reasonable cost. In addition, no one at Coet2 ever pushes the additional services that they offer, but they are there if you need them (QuickBooks classes, financial planning, etc.). Highly recommended, and I have dealt with 4 accountants over the life of my business, so I have a good basis to offer a recommendation.
