Imagine our nerves and worries after the previous place. This never occurred at Family Life. The staff has been outstanding so far and the stages and assessments have been worry free, no actually, really rewarding. Communication has been good and we always feel welcome. Now with my personal experience with Learing To Grow, was at first super cool. As a new mother, I needed something in walking distance plus clean, fits government standards and a pleasant environment for my babies. All was good, then slowly I began feeling very unwelcome by the attitudes from most of the employees, there are some teachers and workers who are sweet as pie. But overall I felt like I said uneasy and unwelcome. I've never felt this way about a day care ever, Mrs. Warner to me i thought was going to be such a friendly person. She came off professional and someone that you could be open with about your situation or just when it came to asking a question. I realized shortly enough that this was no where near true. I cried today from being mislead while trying to work constantly with this woman. If you get government help like a voucher don't go here, ppl aren't perfect but to not work with a parent and be clear about certain rules is unfair. I'm just so disappointed, I really thought I was going to love it here and ended being so disgusted by how they treat others. There may be parents who like this daycare and that's fine, I wouldn't say it's not the daycare for everyone. As a new mother, my experience was pleasant and then ended horrible. Its too much eye rolling, attitude, gossip, focus on the 9-5, toddlers don't do much, sit in class combined with infants 85% of the time. Rules and expectations aren't explained correctly and lastly energy is strong. Negative energy reflects back negative. I'm sorry they vibes in this daycare I get are only about money money money, government Standards and that's it. We used to love this place and loved the staff but as time…read morecontinued and our kid continued to grow we noticed that it was difficult to keep this place staffed. Sometimes they would staff the young kids rooms with fresh faces without enough training to provide parents the lesson plans they have for their children. So the kids would be left roaming free doing whatever they wanted. There would be times that the kids were finally calm and was learning how to self regulate their emotions and then a new teacher comes in and changes the atmosphere. And sometimes they would assign teachers who gag when it comes to potty training kids which sets some kids back because they are thinking that they are doing something wrong with the reaction that teacher is giving. There is no consistency with these teachers and they keep rotating all the teachers around which causes chaos. There hasn't been any more lesson plans given to the parents because the teachers never know which class they will be in. There has been times where I would come in early to pick up my child, only to hear the tablet speakers blasting and the children staring at the tablet and watching DannyGo. There are other times where I would come in and hang out with my kid a bit in the morning and smell the strong odor of marijuana on a teacher as she walks in to start her day. They aren't always consistent to checking in your kids into the classroom so you can look on the app and see how their day is going by either looking at the posts from the teachers or logging into the live video feed but only if they are checked in by the teachers. They are very adamant when it comes to parents checking in their children but aren't when it comes to teachers checking in their children. Overall, we used to love this place and loved the staff that were meant to teach. There are still some people there from when our kid started and we love them, but we can see that them being short staff is effecting them. These teachers play such a huge roll in these children's lives so it's important to keep them happy and honest. When I talk to another parent they were noticing a difference in the teachers' attitudes as well. So seeing some of these teachers' patience running thin shows that they need some extra training because kids will be kids and they need guidance. We also didn't appreciate when the the director Richelle took 9 days to respond to us about some concerns we had when it came to them being short staffed and causing us issues because they were not able to care for our child. Child care is expensive enough so waiting 9 days for a statement to be corrected only to get charged a late fee in the process while waiting is ridiculous. Really wish Ashley was the director because she is always prompt with responses and she is so caring and respected amongst all of her peers and children. The children all love her and listen to her. She knows how to handle difficult situations and how to properly de-escalate any issue with both adults and children. Hoping this place gets better in the near future for the children.

Management hires unqualified care givers and then just fires them. This was very detrimental to our child's development - especially since he was being potty trained (at least at home. The school was just confusing for him) I also feel that the facility was not very clean, especially now having experience elsewhere. Our child constantly had diarrhea, developed warts, and was sick more than normal. Between the "dirty" classrooms, unqualified staff, poor food, and horrible management, I would NEVER recommend this place to any family. Erin Groves was awful to work with. She lied to parents and staff (I was told this by the people who were watching my child) and was hypocritical about discussing behavior of children. When my son was bitten multiple times by the same child (hers, as the staff in Babyland told me), she would lie about the situation and place blame on other children, including my own. Staff were afraid of her and allowed exceptions for her daughter that would have had other families kicked out. If I can give any advice to parents looking for childcare, please take your business elsewhere. This is not a good environment - physically and emotionally/mentally - and is not nearly as safe as other centers. (There is no lock on the door and visitors are free to roam wherever and whenever they please.) **Update. To follow up from below. It was 2 years ago, so that goes to sho that turnover is high. There are some good teachers there, though. In the baby room, we liked our son's teacher. The two rooms after that were great. But the top management was the biggest issue I dealt with while there. There was some communication, but it was minimal. We were told by the office that we should have professional help with our child. Our pediatrician never said this to us. And then one friday, we received a call to pick up our child and not to return. (So how does a family handle Monday morning with work? We were obviously in daycare because that was our option. This all happened after my husband and I started to question staff turnover, missing diapers/supplies for our son, safety and cleanliness, and why "incident reports" were being issued.) Now, I gave it some time, and we have had NO issues since at another, facility. And one that is willing to participate in step up to quality (5 star rated). We were also never given any information on financial assistance.
