August 24, 2026 - Winslow, AZ We just had to stop so we could be "Standin' on the corner in Winslow, AZ". Big fans of the Eagles. As we rolled into town in our RV on East Third Street, we were surprised by the music strip on the road. As we drove over it, we were treated to the road music of "Take it Easy". So fun! We found a place to park a few blocks away, and walked to "The Corner". (Easy to find--street signs point you in the right direction). Snapped our photos, admired the statues, flatbed ford, mural and angel wings, and then headed to the souvenir shop across the street where we bought a few t-shirts. Great fun--well worth the stop. read more

Nice little souvenir shop with a little bit of everything for everyone. There were tons of souvenirs, gifts, and knickknacks to browse. I don't know what was playing for music, but it added a nice atmosphere while we looked around. The prices were what you'd expect for a tourist shop, but that's pretty standard. The lady working there was friendly and welcoming, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Overall, a nice place to stop and look around. Worth checking out if you're in the area. As a huge Jackson Browne fan, I was a bit disappointed that there was no reference to the fact that Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey wrote the song. It was a nice place to make a stop on our road trip across Arizona. Some great photo opportunities, a cute gift shop, ample free parking. Worth stopping if you are in the area. read more

Nice cast display of Jackson Browne (Song Writer) & Glenn Frey (Singer) and the tribute to the Eagles "Standing on the Corner" in Winslow, Arizona.It was a fine sight to see! No girl in a flat bed Ford though. My husband was bummed about that! LOL However, there is a big Route 66 emblem in the middle of the intersection & a historic building. If you are an Eagles and Glenn Frey fan this is worth the time to visit this display. Right across the street is a fabulous gift shop for great souvenirs and more. This is the best place for the price. We picked up a few t-shirts, guitar picks and presents for some of our other groupies. Winslow is a very small town. There isn't too much to do here, so could only imagine what it would have looked like back in the day when this iconic song was created. **Fun Fact- the original version was based off of Jackson Browne actually being stranded in Flagstaff but Glenn Frey changed the lyrics to Winslow as it was a better fit rhythmically & vocally. The locals are super friendly. Take it easy and enjoy the Route 66 appeal. Encourage visiting the 9/11 Remembrance Garden and the Old Trails Museum while exploring this legendary spot. read more

The famous song ("Take it Easy ") is 54 years old and the "park" (really just a couple of statues, on a corner) is still pretty busy. Fun fact: the Eagles made the song famous but Jackson Browne wrote it. Free street parking everywhere. Winslow isn't very big. Such a fine sight to see. read more

Stopped here on our way to Oklahoma City - we were here at 6:30am and it was the perfect time to snap a quick photo! Turn up your radio, listen to the famous Eagles song and check out the corner in Winslow, Arizona. This is a fun stop that only took us about 10 minutes. For Eagles fans, this is a Must-do. My husband and I drove the 57 miles from Flagstaff, where we were staying for a few nights, to Winslow specifically so that we could stand on this corner. Then we drove the 57 miles back and were very glad we did. We both wish we'd taken the time to go into the souvenir shop on the corner and buy t-shirts. We got so wrapped up in photos, we just didn't think about shopping, too. Great corner, great fun. You won't be here long. But then do a little shopping and stop in at one of the local places for lunch or dinner. We went into BoJo's for cold refreshments. Service was stellar, the drinks were icy cold and inexpensive. read more

This is one of those fun, nostalgic attractions that creates both your own memorabilia and historicity at the same time. I could not resist, like many visitors to Winslow, having pictures taken at the 'Standin' on the Corner's life size statues of Eagle's Jackson Brown and Glenn Frey at the corner of 2nd and Kinsley streets, as I had done walking the 'Beatles' walk across Abbey Road by the Abbey Road Studios in London! I did just what is almost an estimated 100,000 visitors do in Winslow each year! Besides the incredible open-air art, and the huge 'Route 66' sign on the street, they've got this monster red electric guitar I could not help myself to strum to for a selfie. It was a fine site to see. And snap. read more

They have really made this an excellent tourist attraction. There is a mural that says Winslow, AZ as well as two statues. There is even a sign that says Standing On A Corner. This is very cheesy, but very much worth stopping in at for a photo op! read more

Most people like the Eagles and their music. We do as well and can sing many of their songs from memory, at least parts of them. We heard of this place before and knew we had to stop if ever in the area. This was our opportunity as we were driving I-40 across the country. This is also part of the historic Route 66. The park includes a real flatbed ford parked on the street with two statues, one standing and another holding a guitar. There is also a huge Route 66 sign painted in the street intersection. It is a great opportunity for photos and you should also check out the gift shop located on the corner as well. We sang parts of "Take it easy" the rest of the day as we drove to Albuquerque. read more

This small touristy Route 66 piece is as good as it gets. I'm sure everyone has heard the Eagles' song "Take it Easy" where the lyrics famously mention Winslow. People can debate all day long how accurate and true the lyrics are (the song was written by Jackson Browne and Glenn Frey), but nonetheless, the town is very happy to capitalize on it. If you're traveling the Mother Road westbound, you're better off turning left west of town because this is seen from the eastbound direction (Route 66 splits in half in Winslow). You'll probably find some people taking photos or whatever but you'll eventually get your chance. The statue which has been there since 1999, is not of Jackson Browne but the average 1970s rocker. Glenn Frey's was added several months after his death in 2016. The flatbed Ford is also displayed there. What's interesting is "Take it Easy" was not only the song that helped get the Eagles onto stardom, it is also the song that helped launch their mid-90s comeback when Travis Tritt did a video for the song, reuniting all Eagles. A couple tips: be sure to pay attention to the detail in the mural in the background. You'll see an eagle, among other things. And don't forget to stop at the gift shop across the street where you'll find many things that say "Take it Easy". read more

This has been on my bucket list for years. Driving out to Las Vegas, and finally drove through Winslow, AZ, so I had to do it. Let's face it, this is the only thing going on it this town, but it's worth it to stop and take some pictures. Not hard to get to and easy to get a parking space on the street. The park itself is a small space next to the statues (see pictures), but you are immediately drawn to the 2 statues (I guess of Glenn Frey?). This is perfect for a selfie opportunity! There are some small shops and businesses in this downtown area as well. Also, there is a flatbed Ford permanently parked next to the park! read more

Neat way for a town to capitalize in a small way on a music band's big way use of its name for the band's benefit. Winslow (one of the many towns negatively affected by the demise of Route 66) could use a quick stop by you to fill up, have a meal in a restaurant and buy a t-shirt. If you're an Eagles fan and you happen to be passing by on Interstate Highway 40, do yourself a favor and check it off your Eagles punch-list. Would I make a special trip there again? It doesn't take an Eagles eye to see the rapturous tourists flocking to this corner, swooping down to take the requisite photos. To be honest there's not much to do in Winslow but it's worth a stop just for kicks if you're passing through town, are an Eagles fan, or simply enjoy classic rock. This monument to the famous Eagles song is the whole reason we stopped in Winslow. Fairly certain it is why most people stop. There is something about the classic rock song, and Rt. 66 that make the allure to stop so strong. The tribute makes for the perfect stop to stretch one's legs. While people were constantly trickling in to take pictures, people were respectful of eachother. Everyone took turns. There wasn't and crowding. There is even a flatbed Ford to take pictures with. A speaker from the establishment across the street actually plays Eagles and Don Henley music that can be heard at and around the monument. read more

This was a 'bucket list' item for me, and I just so happened to be in Winslow for work- HAD to stop on my lunch break to "stand on the corner"! In all honesty: it's a little overhyped. But, definitely cool, fun to see & worth the stop. I also didn't realize it was a part of Route 66. There's literally nothing much besides the statue(s) & painted wall behind, along with the 'Route 66' painted in the middle of the intersection there. It's surrounded with plenty of overpriced tourist shops & a handful of cafes/restaurants. It's a bit difficult to get a decent photo without something else interfering- I suggest having another party present to assist in taking a photo. (My selfie is proof enough, LOL!) Would I go out of my way for this opportunity again? Probably not. But, already being in the area, you can't just bypass! And, there is no excuse to bypass without playing The Eagles...
