My son had come here and was pleased, but he is young and has great teeth compared to his aged parents . I made an urgent appointment after splitting a tooth while eating. the whole process was amazing. scheduled quickly , good front desk staff, and a very kind and patient Dentist and support team. great first start, but then my wife needed to get a check up, and a filling, and the process was great again. I still failed to write a review. Well over the weekend she had a severe pain to cold. she was able to get right in, exam, x-ray, and rapidly referred to an root canal specialist. all done same day. several interactions 3 family members , all great. His assistant - Christina - is alarmingly competent and charmingly disarming. The office is located in a small two story brick office building in historic, scenic Haymarket, VA. I had a cap removed, a cavity removed from underneath it, a new filling applied and a temporary cap put on. I am one of those people who is scared of the pain that sometimes comes with dental appointments. Doctor Olsen was very gentle and explained everything she did along the way, how much was left to do and checked with me frequently to see how I was doing. I don't have a problem with the needles, but I have to say her technician who did the numbing was extremely gentle. My husband accompanied me into the procedure and Dr. Olsen took the time to discuss with him a referral that had been made about his implant that needed to be replaced. She was very open and honest about the practices and the doctors who had been recommended. Having that conversation in the room while she was doing my procedure really helped take my mind off of where I was and my fear of feeling pain. I have also had a deep cleaning done in their office and it was very thorough and absolutely painless. They don't scrape your teeth manually - they have a device that vibrates the plaque off. Their front desk staff has also been very helpful in explaining our dental coverage and how much things will cost Ahead of the procedures. He and his team have helped me with everything from general maintenance to root canals to implants. More recently, they solved a severe wear problem caused by poor work done 15+ years ago. I decided to replace all of my lowers (at the same time) in order to open my bite and fix the wear problem. It was a huge procedure yet I was not at all nervous or apprehensive once the time came to do the actual work. Planning was meticulous with multiple scans, wax models and coordination with fabrication lab. It is such a relief to have full trust in a dentist, something I have not experienced in the past. Assistant Rona made me excellent temporaries; four sections that felt great and enabled normal eating while waiting on permanents. Next, my six front uppers were replaced and that one piece temporary was amazing! I could eat apples whole if I wanted to. It is so nice to have dependable temps especially when so many teeth are being worked on at the same time. The office staff works hard to get as much coverage from insurance as possible which is not an easy feat! Estimates are detailed and out of pocket cost is always known up front. Scheduling is easy and location is convenient. Recent renovations inside the office and treatment rooms have made the space more comfortable and it is always clean and organized. Overall, I appreciate Dr. Chehade's attention to detail and communication with staff during procedures to get things right. It is clear he takes pride in his work. Sometimes things take longer than planned but the quality of work is always the first priority. They said they were very invasive with my teeth and didn't need to do feelings on a lot of them and now I'm paying the consequences of going to Gainesville dental associates.
