Three different technicians had to come out because the first two didn't do their job the very first to wear a wonderful men very nice to talk to however, they left the room smelling like urine still even though they charged me for a deodorizer the second group of men who came out set a box fan down and told me that that was the best they could do because the floor has been wet 24-48 hours after the first group of men had left leaving the floor, smelling and soaked. I was concerned about mold. The last technician who came out was one that was covering my house frequently and I have never had a problem with him he always says a beautiful job and he was able to clean up what the other four guys had not they're very expensive and the call center isn't always the greatest with customer service. They're OK for what they are but when you get a good technician, they're great when you get a bad technician it sucks. read more

The guys did a fantastic job on the tile and wood flooring, over five stars! Professional, courteous. Mindful about furniture, etc. Stellar service. Where we differed was I sent out a rug for cleaning. It did come back very clean. However it did come back different. It had a ripple in the middle and some areas on the border were faded. I did talk with customer service and they were great. We did talk about the one side of the rug that was most faded on that side (border area) and it could have been on the high traffic side. Which makes sense. Nevertheless they were very kind the local Beavercreek manager called me to offer a resolution, a small refund, which I appreciated. However I have not received confirmation of we agreed on in email. And it hasn't shown up in my bank account. I have reached out to customer service and am awaiting a reply. I do recommend them. (to the point that my partner mentioned it, which initiated this review) -and invited himself back inside.. to ask unrelated questions, on more than one occasion. Received a quote for cleaning living room, hallway, and 2 bedrooms of my mother's small home. When the technician came, he offered me the protectant and deodorizer as well. He offered to remove the hallway from the order (which is about a 2 1/2 ft long "hallway"), if I agreed to these services. Common practice with them as I have heard other people say this also. I agreed to it but let him know I did not need the protectant and deodorizer in one of the bedrooms. He agreed and did not complete those services in that one room. At the end of the visit when it was time to pay, my bill was over $100 more than my original quote. The iPad they have you sign on does not show an itemized bill (again by design I'm sure), that is emailed to you after the visit. Once I received that email and saw that they did in fact charge me for the extra services in the room I repeatedly told him I did not need it in, I decided to call. That is $50 worth of services I did not want and I did not receive. I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and suggested that maybe he accidentally charged me. When the office manager finally called me back he was very rude and unwilling to refund the $50. He tried to throw in my face that they removed the fee for the hallway. If he only knew how small this space was that was cleaned, the "hallway" shouldn't have even been considered a hallway to begin with. My house was long overdue for having the ducts clean (like the 1st time in 21years!) I reached out to (5) different places that offered duct cleaning. Three of them gave me a quote over the phone, site unseen. Two of them made an appointment to do a walk through. The Stanley Steemer estimator (Jeff Johnson) showed up on time, well dressed, and handled himself in a professional manner, oh and and knew his stuff. I awarded him the business. The crew that was sent out (Joseph Free & Jeff Frieszell) were awesome! They did every thing you would expect, but so much more. They worked non-stop from the time they got there until the time they left. They left the place spotless. And nobody that I know of has a more powerful vacuum system. The tech was nice but did a terrible job. It was like he shampooed the carpet with just water and left the carpet soaking wet. To the point the water puddled around your toes. After 3 days the carpet was still soaked. I called and asked to speak to the manager. I was then transferred to his voicemail. I left a message & he did not return my call. This was done on an empty house for a property we sold. The new owner to take possession of the house in 3 days so there is not time to reclean it with the same chance it will not be dry again. There was also a horrible odor like a wet dog that was shoved in a gym bag hidden under a bed for 6 years. If cleaning solution was used the carpet would not smell this bad. Had 2 rugs in my home cleaned. The young man in charge repeatedly told me they weren't really cleaning the rugs, just surface steaming. So I guess he was telling me that he was just taking my money $104+ for nothing. Why do they advertise they can clean your rugs? They want you to have them take them in the business to clean for much more money which they really pushed. Rugs look a little lighter and some minor spots removed but they didn't even vacuum before steaming (I did). read more

Was very throughout and explained If there were certain things that wouldn't come up and why. Very professional and saved me the headache of doing it myself. Carpets cleaned well. However the walls of the entire floor became very wet and caused the paint to bubble in two rooms. We had to pay to have the rooms repainted. Stanley Steamer took no responsibility. They said it was our fault because we left the AC on. But they did not give us any instructions on what to do or not do. They gave us no instructions at all, so we simply left the AC running. We will not use their service again. read more

Two wks ago I gave SS 1star because I received the run around trying to reach a super to cancel a maintenance agreement, after seeing my carpet had areas they either missed or didn't clean thoroughly. I'm changing my rating cause after finally being able to cancl my agreement, I received a follow up call from a rep, Gina, who actually seemed to care bout the quality of their service. Unlike the 1st rep, she apologizd &informed me their policy allowed a 2nd cleaning w'in 10 days. Also refunded me more than the 1st rep's quote (I thought he was cheating me but by then, just wanted to be done w the mattr). This is the type of quality service I expect from a company like SS. So my dog had a MAJOR accident..... in my baby's room. Gross and all over the place.... We're talking ALL over the room, not a nice little pile of mess by any means. I couldn't exactly clean it myself (I couldn't even begin to think how I could attempt to clean it).... so I called Stanley Steemer @ 6:30 AM. Since they have a 24 hour 1800 #, I was able to set an appointment the same day @ 9:00am. The crew called before they left to say they were on their way and showed up early. They were not at all taken back by the gross-ness of the mess (or they didn't show it) but simply went about cleaning it and 3 other rooms in my house. Great Job - Great Guys. Never would have thought it would be cleaned with no clue there was a mess there...but it was. AMAZING. I will be asking for this crew again (Matthew & Raymond in case you want to use them) for any future needs. Wish I had the extra $ to sett up their yearly service plan.... but that will have to wait until next time. read more

They were sent to my house by an insurance company after a water pipe broke. They were supposed to dry things out. They have no concept of what to do but put in fans an dehumidifiers. They said my carpet was dry and underneath too but I pulled it up and it was soaked. They thought they could dry floor underneath vinyl with fans. I do not recommend and should have reviewed more comments before calling Stanley Steemer. First, let me be fair... the two gentlemen that did the cleaning were very professional, friendly and explained everything. They did a very nice job cleaning the carpet and offered additional services as they should. Second - things happen... not everything is going to be perfect and I get that - but when/if things go wrong, I expect a professional response not a complete refusal to address the issue. So - this rating is NOT a reflection of the employees that came out here even though there was wall damage - this is really a review in response how they are handling our concern. We received pre-move in cleaning services in Nov. I discovered a 24in long scratch in the hallway dry wall and a 1in dent in the stairwell dry wall and reported it to the 800#. My fault that I didn't see it during the actual final walk through... because I was looking at the carpet/flooring, not my walls. When I called the first time to report it, someone came out to assess it a few days later and told us they didn't think they did it, they felt that someone else (possibly movers) did it and they did not have the equipment that would make those marks.... We heard nothing more for 2 weeks. I called again the second time and was told the case is closed... I requested for the manager to call me back as I completely disagree with the response and still have not heard back from anyone... it has been over 3 days since my follow up call. I'm starting to give up and at this point my options are BBB, online reviews and ask the husband to fix it. In response to their deflection... I'm not a forensic scientist, but the cleaning rep was using a metal vacuum device with metal handle pointing away from the user... and since this was an out of state pre-move cleaning job, we had no cleaning supplies in an empty house for 24 hours after the cleaning was done.... I would have to take a plastic fork or knife from Wendy's and work really hard to make the scratch that deep to show the dry wall gypsum. Also - this was a corporate move and I have records of when the movers arrived and left (arrived an entire day after the cleaners were here) and as with all corporate moves, they do a detailed walk through before starting their work and also pointed out the visible damage to us.... so - based on my non-forensic point of view, I'm relatively certain that the new 24in long scratch and 1in dent was created by the crew therefore my conclusion is - NEVER USE THEM because if things go wrong - you're on your own. read more

Booked the appointment online and received a 10% discount. After booking the appointment, I received a 15% off coupon in the mail. The technician, Adam was terrific. Arrived on time, cared about the quality of the work, and went back over areas the we thought needed a second cleaning. He didn't try to oversell me but, when I asked about cleaning our hardwood floors, he explained the process. Very good explanation. At the completion of the work I asked about the 15% off coupon. He indicated that I could not use it because I used the 10% and booked on line. It was only an additional ~$7.00. We all know that Stanley Steemer is pricey anyway and I thought it was a small request. I asked him to inform his supervisor that this small amount left me with a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth. He assured that he would do so. I was not called in advance, as I was told I would be, before Stanley Steemer's arrival. So they blocked in my car and informed me "do you want me to clean the carpet or not? Because if you do, I need my car parked there." I was frustrated as I wanted needed to get out, but did not say anything. I asked him about the call in advance and he became very defensive and yelled at me "That's not my job." I then got to overhear him saying "I don't need this on a Monday morning." Well, it was my Monday morning too and I am the customer. His partner was polite and I was happy to deal with him for the rest of the interaction. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable. We were scheduled for a cleaning and told that their arrival time would be between 8-12. After waiting half the day we finally got a text at 11:03 that they were on the way. 12 still no one. My husband proceeded to call and we were told they didn't know where they were. He then cancelled the service. Not 5 minutes later the Stanley Steemer truck went barreling by our home. My husband proceeded to call again and said that he just saw the truck pass and would like them to come if they were still available. He was told they already left town. I can't rate the actual carpet cleaning because we didn't receive one.if I could give negative stars Stanley Steemer would definitely get one for customer service. These guys were GREAT! Normally not impressed but these guys were good, even impressing the townhouse association manager. Had 4 years worth of deep food and drink stains stains at three locations in the carpet; they removed those with no problems. I also had 4.5 years of my judge's chair leaking some greasy black powder into a single spot on the carpet in my office; it took them a little time but they got the spot cleaned where you could not tell it was even there. Also, it was a horrible weather day - cold, rainy, ugly. When they first came it they did track some dirt and dead leaves in on their shoes but they took extra care to make sure any dirt they tracked in was cleaned up. This is the first time I have used Stanley Steemer and based on this experience I will use them to clean the carpets in my house in Nebraska in the next month or so. read more

I'm advising anyone that is checking on Standley Steemer reviews to BEWARE of using them for anything in Dayton Ohio area.. I've used them in Texas and had a great experience with carpet cleaning, furniture and air duct. But February of 2019 I moved to Dayton Ohio from Texas and bought a home here and after seeing my furniture after the movers moved everything here I decided to give standley steemer a call since I've knew of them from using them in Texas. I was so wrong about the consistency you get from one state to another.. them came out to clean my furniture first and it was horrible experience the 2 guys that showed up was later almost a hour and then one of the guys kept complaining to the other coworker he was with that his back was really hurting and he could bend over to clean because it was causing a great deal of pain so I pretended not to of heard anything they were saying and I kept unpacking, I was in the kitchen and walked in the living where they were supposed to be cleaning furniture and carpets and they were gone !! It was within minutes of them starting so I walk out the front door and seen them putting all the hoses always and I walked up to them and said you can't be finished ?? And they said sure we are and I told them no I touched the furniture and it wasn't event touched so I ask them to come back to the and show me and they did and they had me to touch the arm of the sofa and it was a little wet but I said you touch the other side of the sofa it was completely dry not even touched I had to force them to bring the hoses back into the house and clean my sofas and carpet, which they did but them the guy that had be complaining about his back was in a lot of pain so I told them just forget.. he was unable to bend over to clean.. so I called and complained to the 800# and Because that's where I setup the appointment and they were so very nice and helpful about getting a credit back but what a waste of time for me and they were going to leave and make me believe they did clean my furniture and carpets.. I'm glad I caught them. Well then I should just cut my lost with them but when I was on the phone With the 800 number I had discussed with him before about having the air ducks clean but of course that would be a different group of men coming out that handles that type of cleaning not the same as the one to clean the furniture and carpet and they asked me if I still wanted that appointment and they reassured me that I would not have any problems that they were going to take care of the issues And they were going to give me a $50 off coupon if I did it with them for the inconvenience of what happen with the furniture and the carpet so I set up the appointment it was gonna be $450 for the cleaning of the air ducks in the house so they came out and again another 2 different men that didn't wanna work that day they were giving me excuses why they could not clean my air ducks they told me that they noticed a little bit of condensation in the air duck area which made them believe there could be possibly mold in there and told me they cannot touch it because of that and I was like what I just had an inspection done on the furnace and he in the air ducks when I bought the house there was nothing like that so they left and advise me I need to call on mode extractor company so I did call a mold extractor company and thank God he was a very honest Christian man he came out and looked in there and said there was no Evidence of mold at all so he told me he could spray some type of odor deodorizer and bacteria cleaner just to stay on the safe side because the house is old and the ducks probably have never been cleaned here but he told me first I should probably have the ducks cleaned then he'll come back out and spray it so I called Stanley Steemer's back again and having to come back out So they came out I couldn't see what they were doing they were running these big hoses and that took them maybe 45 minutes and they left charge me $400 plus tax so I called the company back and asked him to come out and spray because it had a musty smell in the house because it's a older home. Well the gentleman came out from the mold extracting company he went inside and was looking inside of my vents and the ducks and told me he did not see any difference where anything was cleaned so he still sprayed everything for me and told me that he's not even going to charge me that he felt bad that I had to go through what I did with Stanley Steemer He gave me a document showing that he could tell that the vents were not cleaned out so I called Stanley Steemer back and told them that the gentleman to come out did not clean my vents in the ducks or the furnace like they were supposed to and I had a document showing that well the manager there was so rude he literally was telling me off l didn't call the 800 # that time I called the # on the invoice. The lady at the office was incredibly helpful and patient with all my questions, and scheduled a same day cleaning as we were on a time crunch. I was worried about the large window of time that they could have arrived, but the crew was prompt even for having to work on a federal holiday. They were very polite, thorough about what they explained to me, and they were very fast but efficient. Even though there were a few stubborn spots that wouldn't come up, I couldn't find any fault with their service (the stains were years old and I expected a few to resist cleaning). Had service come out on 19 May for 1 room & an area rug-they recommended sending the area rug out with them for better cleaning & scotch guard; told me I'd have it back in a week, no later than the middle of the week & they would replace it under the furniture etc-I will say the 2 guys that initially came out were nice - the younger one was very friendly & explained a lot & the older one gave more detail as to why he recommended we send the rug out with them. I called the 31st asking status & told they would deliver Saturday (2 weeks after service call) & gave me a 4 hour window-I had to go out of state so rescheduled for Mon. June 4th (given window of 2-6 & they'd call 30 mins out). I adjusted work schedule & was home by 3 - at 5 pm I had to run a quick errand & called to find out status & the agent put me on hold & came back & said "ma'am they said the rug is on your porch & the call is complete." I said "there's nothing on my porch & I have been sitting there since 3 & no one has called & it's a huge rug so no way would I allow it to be just left on my porch!" She told me she'd have a manager contact the service man & a manager would call me in a few mins. 45 mins later no call so I called again & got another csa (cust service agent) - he puts me on hold & comes back on & says "I spoke with Pete the manager & he's already done his run & they'll have to deliver it between 9-12 tomorrow. He said he attempted to call you & I don't know why it was marked complete in the system & that they told you it was on the porch." I said "Absolutely not - first off I changed my work schedule - your company told me 2-6; it's 5:45; then you guys say I have the rug on my porch; then that I'll get a call; then nothing - I've been sitting at my house since 3, on standby before that - I have had my phone on me the entire time - I have no calls, no missed calls, no messages & now you want me to take off work & lose pay? You need to get me on the phone with 'Pete' or a manager and have them bring my rug." I get placed on hold for quite some time then a man named 'Brent' gets on the phone & tells me he's the ofc manager & it's now 6 so everyone's gone & he's sure no one will answer - I ask him where he's located & he tells me OREGON! Yet he's the ofc manager for Beavercreek OHIO. I tell him everything & he says he will attempt to get ahold of the manager & will call me back - I have not received any call back & I have paid $273, do not have my $700 rug, have lost time from work & will have to lose time again & have been lied to & dismissed. You sent Isaiah Booker and Jeff Phillips and we are so glad you did! This was the first time we have had our air ducts cleaned and these guys worked so hard!! They not only worked hard, but they took the time to explain to me what they were going to do step by step. They were both professional and kind! They treated my home as if if were their own. It was left exactly as it was found. These two employees are an asset to your company and represented you in the best possible light. I will definitely use Stanley Steamer again because of their professionalism. I was truly shocked at what was coming out of my vents so let me just say it was money well spent. I purchased a home and wanted the carpets cleaned before I moved in. I asked my realtor who they recommended and she said Stanley Steemer. The cleaner arrived at the appointed time and I left him there to do the cleaning while I returned to work which is less than a mile away. He did my entire house in about 2 hours and called me when he was finished. The carpets were very wet, so I did not want to walk on them. I noticed that there were still a number of soiled areas that did not come clean. I had heard this company can get out just about any stain and most of what was in this house was normal wear and tear dirt. I went back to the house several hours later and the carpets were still extremely wet. I turned the furnace up and ran the fan all night to dry them. The carpets are OK, but I am disappointed with the results and will probably use someone else the next time I have them cleaned. read more
