I reached out to Jim about an issue my family is dealing with regarding a builder who has failed to fulfill contracted services. Jim replied to me two times, both were little more than single sentence emails, and both were condescending and flippant. After I explained what happened Jim suggested I get release documents from the builder for each of the builder's sub-contractors before working with him. Since the work has been underway for nearly a year, that is obviously not an option at this point, and Jim knew that. When I asked if I have any recourse other than going back in time, Jim simply ignored me. I don't appreciate being treated like an idiot, nor do I like being ignored. A lawyer named Tony Jones from this firm is one of the worst, incompetent lawyers we have ever met…read more His stammering and court room demeanor are bad but the random things he uses as 'evidence' in court verge on illegal if not completely incompetent. His preparation for court cases includes searches on the Internet for random items with the same names although items from the Internet without a valid chain of custody cannot be considered evidence. The days in court were worse, he has no comprehension of the law or ability to resolve any problem. His involvement made things worse for everyone and every other lawyer we have spoken with agreed he seems quite incompetent. The first few times we met him he smelled bad and always wore the same exact clothes, a drab very worn out suit. Successful lawyers act, conduct themselves and attempt to have some professional appearance -Tony Jones is not one of them.

Unfortunately, my experience with Mr. Pietz has been devastating. From the very beginning, he showed little effort or compassion in representing me. He refused to include critical personal evidence and firsthand experiences that could have supported my case. He was aware that the government was going through reductions in force, and now, during this shutdown, I've been left struggling to pay my balance. I explained clearly that without an approved budget, we lose overtime -- yet instead of understanding, I was met with threats when I couldn't pay immediately after court. I'm a single, hardworking mother with no living family, having just bought my first home nine months ago. I'm trying to refinance and take out an equity loan, so I can't even open a credit card right now. I recently went through an incredibly traumatic and unjust custody case, filled with false accusations and parental alienation. Despite being the stable parent, the court ruled against me, and I'm now ordered to pay child support for the child my ex kept from me -- something I simply cannot afford right now. On top of that, I've faced major unexpected expenses: an emergency root canal and crown, a broken window repair, and now car repairs -- all of which I've provided proof for.
