I wish I can give this place zero stars.... I made an appointment and they got me in the same day and said my Medicaid will cover EVERYTHING and the receptionist made me believe it. I go in, get the exam stuff done and get told there's a $25 dollar copay. I told the lady that no, there's not, because whoever I just talked to told me everything was covered. Not only did they lie to me, I wasted gas getting there for something that didn't happen, 4 OTHER PEOPLE WALKED OUT BECAUSE OF FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!! Initial exam was done by a doctor over a camera. Staff mixed up my contact prescription labels 2-3 weeks ago. Today, in-person doctor "fixed" my prescription to only write a prescription that's different than the trial contacts I left with (which I specifically stated we're absolutely perfect). Now I have another prescription that doesn't work for me. Waste of money. Save your time. Go anywhere else. read more

This place has highly deceptive practices i was sent an email by a dr and said I would be seeing a him or an associate and it was a high school graduate that ran the machines and then the had a machine a man in a screen ran that was a dr I was told my insurance was covering the told I was out of " net work" and I would have to pay 288$ for contacts .... if guess I am old fashioned whe. We were only one of two customers when we walked in to look at glasses. The staff was nice and attentive. However, once a rush of customers came in, I felt like they weren't capable of juggling customers. People would walk in, obviously needing help, but they were ignored for 10 minutes at a time as staff focused all their attention on one customer. I felt bad for these customers walking in the door only to stand and wait to be acknowledged. Prices on the glasses we ordered were decent though. read more

So it took 4 trips to finally get the glasses right....but they did get them right and always with a smile and pleasant attitude. And the glasses are so much better than that other place. Lenses don't fog up constantly and have that greasy oily coating. Glasses are not cheap, but do feel I got the value for what I paid. read more

Within 2 weeks of getting my son's glasses, they broke. We went in right away to get them replaced, and have waited now for 4 months. We went in twice and called, they told us we would be contacted when they came in, they were delayed. I called today again and was told they are in and they were about to send them back to corporate as they've been there too long although they have no records or clue when they arrived as no staff checked them in as received?! I was then told that they have a company policy that they can not contact clients but only have an automated system. Just crazy the extreme lack of customer service! We will no longer be giving them our business and highly do not recommend them. The eye exams were also completely automated with no actual eye doctor on premises. read more

I was on a trip to New Mexico and Colorado in early June. I had flown to Albuquerque, rented a car, and headed north to the 4 corners monument and later Mesa Verde. I need distance glasses to drive, and to my horror, I found that I had forgotten to take my pair of driving glasses with me. At the end of the first day, I was in Farmington, but I knew I couldn't finish my trip without an appropriate pair of driving glasses. I went to the Stanton Optical when they opened the next morning and told the Manager my problem. He graciously told me he could fix me up with a new pair in about 90 minutes for a reasonable fee. On a whim, I asked him if he had any old, used glasses in the store, and he told me to examine the donation box. To my great joy, I found two pairs with my distance prescription! The manager cleaned them up, gave me two cases, and would not take any money for this. I may never be in Farmington, NM again in my life, but for those of you who live there, I would heartily recommend this optometry for your eye care needs. I have had so many issues with the quality of my glasses... have returned, ordered different frames.. this last pair I noticed one side where the screw goes were two different screws and there is a gap on one side.. The guy that helped me was super nice. The sad part is i had a death in the family so when i picked them up ( after like 8 times ) I tried them on but did not notice this as i was in a hurry. However I will never get glasses here again!! read more

Just happened to be driving by and saw the door open in the wind! We pulled and right away we were greeted by Trevor. We told him our needs for glasses and right away he told us what he could do for our family. We ended up getting three glasses and we will be headed back for two more later. They were suppose to close at 7 but Trevor still took us in, didn't rush us and spent the time to make sure we got what we needed. They have a wide selection of frames and a in house lab. I will definitely go back for our glasses but wanted to get our kids done ASAP. Great customer service and I would say best prices in town. read more

This was the worst eye exam I have ever had!! It is not free, but almost. Thank goodness the didn't use my insurance, I'm pretty sure I need to have a real exam, You do NOT see a Dr. There is a person that talks to you and works the equipment in the room via Satellite, she was hard to understand, broken english. and what she said didn't correspond with what I was seeing, when I explained this several times, she told me I was wrong. I'm not very confident that my prescription is correct. She does not go over what was found out in exam, If there is something wrong you won't know.. i have some issues with my eyes, it wasn't ever mentioned. Glass were quoted at $400. I wasn't told anything about the specials they advertise or have posted. Still less expensive than other places with add on. The only plus,, the sales people are very friendly and helpful in the showroom. read more

Wow... The first trip there I waited in the main lobby for nearly 30 minutes before I was directed that the vision tests take place in a back room (no signs or clear marking). I had an appointment but was directed to sit while they helped a bunch of other people (why make an appointment?). I left, frustrated. I decided to give them another chance and came back. Still had to wait, even though I had an appointment. Then, I go and select glasses etc. They informed me that two pairs would be ready in about 30 minutes and another pair in a couple weeks. I wait and finally get handed a pair of glasses with the wrong size screws protruding from the frame and no remorse from the staff. I point out the issue and they don't seem to care. Finally, they say they will be getting the correct size screws in that afternoon. I return the next day to still get a substandard prod. They literally cut the screws off leaving jagged edges and scratches on the new frames. I take them, knowing I just got bamboozled. A week or so goes by and I get a message saying my glasses are ready (I assume the third pair). I venture the 45 minutes back to Farmington just to be told that the associate forgot to release the pairs I already had possession of. This store in Farmington, NM is the worst run eye clinic/glasses store I have ever been to. I will strongly encourage everyone to look elsewhere if you want glasses. read more

Today our hunt for an honest and good customer service got worst. I contacted Stanton Optical, Farmington, NM to ask if they were VSP providers. The male person I spoke with said yes. When we arrived for our appointments, I asked again. This time his reply yes but no. He directed us to the back, a dark waiting area. Seats were not arranged for social distancing. Initial interview and initial eye exams were not in a privacy setting. Optical assistance was wearing her mask over her mouth and not her nose. A customer nearby had no mask on. A child was coughing. Child about 6 or 7 years old had no mask and was coughing. Our final episode was the selection of eyeglass frames. This man denied he told me they worked with VSP again. Our receipts for both of us was very long. So this business does not use VSP Insurance. Their prices are high in cost. It advertises Covid-19 protocol safety but what I saw was nothing like it. The doctor acknowledged that I should have been told that he was running well behind, but I stayed because I had child care... Should have gone elsewhere. Oh, well. They couldn't get the computer to work, so no exam, just wasted time. read more
