I needed business cards fast, Staples has Instant. Thats pretty fast. I recently had a bad experience at a smaller print and copy shop, they would not fix the problem so I decided to write it off and go to Staples. I went in at around 7PM and left about 7:30PM with business cards in hand. I ordered 300 and it cost $25.99 to get instant cards. (they have a special for $19.99 for less cards, 200 I think) If you have been to Staples its hit and miss, but I think they went the extra mile (They are better than Office Depot) I have to give the Staples employees credit, I was in a bad mood when I walked in, I probably wasn't nice to work with, and they didnt take it personal and were nice to me the entire time. I left in a good mood and I turned off my bad attitude and thanked them for helping me. The person working the print center did not actually know everything about the instant business card station (Its a computer on a swivel set up so you can make your own cards) I'm sure its easy for most customers to use, but I'm like stupid or something. I make up for it by being charming. She got someone from another department to come help and while she was getting him the security guard came over and offered help! Even though the security guard did not know how to use the instant business card center either, at least she tried. The Staples worker from the other department knew the system inside and out and answered my question on the spot. I'm going to go to this location again. read more

I ordered some business cards online, when I got there to pick up I noticed that they werent as expected. I think 75% was my fault while preparing the file, the cutting wasnt great either. They offered right away to reprint a new file, and the result was perfect. I had to deal with two employees and both were super nice. thank you! read more

Went during my lunch so I was in a hurry. I had already checked online to see if they had certain things that I was looking for, and supposedly they did have it, 8 of them to be exact! I get to the store and I asked for erasable pens and the guy at the register was able to help me find them. However I asked for a TI-84. I was already at the register he could have easily looked to see if they had it in stock. No, instead he sends me all the way in the back where all the calculators are... only had the demos. I go back in line and another cashier attends me. She quickly checks and says "we have the regular and the plus. Which one do you want to purchase" So I say the regular one. about 5 minutes later someone goes to look for it. She says they only have the plus pink or black so I choose the black. This is the item I checked to see if they had in stock. So she comes back and says "Sorry we only had the plus CE". I'm already at the store with little to no time to get back to work. No time to argue with them that online, it said they did have some. Anyway I say fine just give me that one. The one I wanted was $89.99 after rebate (reason i wanted this one) and the one I HAD to get was 109.99 after rebate!!! I was trying to save money I don't have over here! Anyway, my complain is that inventory needs to be updated so things like this don't happen. read more

I don't ever expect much from stores like these, but I do expect them to know how to function. I ordered a pack of 10 bankers boxes online and selected "in store pick up", this is supposed to save me the hassle of trying to hail down an uninterested employee to point me in the right direction. It did just the opposite. I received an email saying that my order was ready, so I hopped in an uber and ran inside hoping that it would be a quick interaction. I was there for at least 15 minutes while nobody knew how to handle my order. Sure, my order had been payed for and prepared- but they didn't actually know how to close the deal. I ended up paying twice for some cardboard boxes because the employees didn't know how to handle a routine situation. I like staples as a company, they cary all the right brands and seem to know for the most part how to manage a massive chain of supply stores but this particular location....sucks. read more

Not too long ago, I made the mistake of stopping by this Staples location. The print center employee, Karina Soto, was so incredibly unhelpful that I felt compelled to sign-up & write this review nearly 2 weeks later, simply because I could not stop thinking about it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! I was completely ignored for 5 minutes, then quickly (and rudely!) dismissed before I could even say what it was that I wanted. She answered every single one of my questions with "I don't know." Finally, after getting what I needed from the self-service station, I tried to pay... Karina informed me that I had already paid (I hadn't) and sent me on my way. I will never return to this place, and will definitely be making use of the nearby Office Depot from now on. read more

Located near the LA Convention Center. The area is pretty ghetto. The parking lot is a bit of a one-way street. The store has a security guard greet you when you walk in. Some made it a lot worse than it really is. I went to this Staples only because I had a coupon for 20 free holiday cards. Once I customized my card, I printed out my confirmation letter and the staff member conducted my transaction efficiently. All the staff members seemed nice. Overall, great place to get your office needs but horrible area. read more

When I'm out of ink, I run here to make printouts from my flash drive (11 cents each black & white 8.5x11", ~$1 each color 11x17") & it's much cheaper than FedEx Office (which is a total ripoff). I receive faxes for free through eFax, but I send faxes here at Staples after discovering it's also much cheaper than FedEx Office (again, seriously a ripoff!) They have a self-serve fax kiosk but they seriously need a self-serve printing kiosk so customers can help themselves!!! I do think the service is much better here than Koreatown 6th St. location. Staples has the cheapest prices on office supplies. read more

I seriously had an amazing experience at this Staples! It's unfortunate a lot of people seem to have had bad experiences here, but maybe things have changed recently, because the store couldn't have been more accommodating. They were extremely helpful when assisting me with the questions I had, got me AMAZING deals (I seriously must have saved over $50) and they even packed and shipped my mail for free! From start to finish, the staff was knowledgable and friendly and most of all, attentive! I hope they start getting mote 5 star reviews, because they definitely deserve it! read more

The Staples store across from the Staples center... although not the nicest Staples I've been to by a long shot, this is the best/closest office supply store for USC students. Technically the Office Depot on Fig is slightly closer, but it is small and poorly stocked. This Staples has all the essentials I need and I can get in and get out pretty quickly. It has a decent sized parking lot, too so I never have to worry about parking downtown. read more

This Staples is very organized, clean and friendly. The bathroom on the other hand is a disaster. If there is one thing that demonstrates how much the store actually cares about its customers it's the bathroom. For example, Targets have impeccable bathroom, and it shows they care. No toilet seat covers, paper on the floor and messed up air freshners. Total mess. read more

this place always has prices different from online so i always have to price match. anyways i try to price match and the lady said it's not the same notebook as in the picture. the picture was completely different from the description, so she was basing it all off the picture. the description matched every single aspect of the notebook and she still didn't price match it. read more

I came in today, to buy a flash drive that I saw online for 7.99. So I drove over and it was actually regular price for more than 20$. I saw an associate whom I forgot to get her name she help me to verify it was the same one so i could get it for 8$. Really awesome. Finally I get to the register and Maria (cashier) was really nice helped me to enroll in their rewards program, and had told me further more info. My experience here was great and very happy. Shopping at this Staples on 1/15/14 was one of the most degrading experiences I've ever had. I needed to purchase ink, and my ten year-old son wanted to spend the money he received for his birthday. The security woman stalked us for the entire visit. It was so uncomfortable and obvious to my ten year-old son that he was uncomfortable making any purchase. My son is neatly dressed and very mannerable, not at all thuggish looking. She stood as close as 3 feet away from him. My heart hurt for him to experience something such as this, especially on Dr. King's birthday. I wrote to the manager of the store. No response. I sent a letter to corporate office. No response. To the writer that mentioned the store being in the "hood", has nothing to do with it. Went across the street to Office Depot, fantastic service. Will follow-up with Better Business Bureau. I just left this place. I called 10 minutes ago. I was making an inquiry regarding stock availability of a electronic product that staples.com showed in stock at this particular place. It said low stock. So by all means, I called and talked to the manager. He said he had 1 left in stock and it's locked away in his room. He also said he's not supposed to save anything. But he's saving it for me. he took down my name and said he wrote it on box lol. Wow! He told me to come down there to pick it up. Well, when I got down there, from the congested 110, 10 short minutes later (don't ask how I did it), it was another story. The person that I talked to said they sold it 20 minutes ago lol. I asked to speak to the manager. They said he is unavailable. Liars! Why lie to get me all the way down there? You think Im going to buy something else out of this dirty dusty store, where all of the electronics seems to be store returns, rejects, etc? Since I wasted gas (gas is almost $5 a gallon), I did browse the store, hoping I will find something so it wouldnt seem I drove down here for nothing. Well, I noticed all of their store returns being sold as spanking new. Wow! Everything that was pulled out had tape on it, dusty, and appeared to have been disturbed from it's factory seal. I guess this is an ok store if your looking for new stationary, like pens, paper, etc. But for us who want brand new gadgets (cameras, computers, printers, etc.), this is the worst Staples ever. I wish I can give them 0 stars. Needless to say, I went across the street to Office Depot. I'm not too fond of Office Depots. I called to print one picture 8x10 as an emergency and Susie had me on hold for 17 minutes. I hung up at 17:42 minutes because she answered as I was walking in the store and she said she saw me walk in since I let her know that I was approaching the Copy and Print Center. When she came up she mentioned that she would not be able to print it because she had 3 orders ahead of mine. When I approahed the print center there was one person there and he didn't seem to be printing anything. Susie is the Oporations manager and she knows how to print but she said she would not do it because she would have wait for her employee to print the other orders first and she can not interfere with the order even though I was there in person. She rejected to help me as a customer in her store. Ibeleive this is poor customer service. If you have a business and are looking to get something done please DO NOT go here. As a business owner I recommend this place to not keep their customers on hold longer than 1-2 minutes. I would rate this location a zero if I could!!!! read more

The Copy center has turned into a joke. Orders not completed on time, done poorly, etc. Picked up an order this morning that was short 150 newsletters. Waited on hold for 15 minutes and no one picked up their line. I drive down there and they find the newsletters in a box. No, "So sorry for the inconvenience"...just "They forgot to give you a box. Have a nice day." Really? This is the 4th screw up in the past year. So done with them. The cheap cost isn't worth what you are getting. read more

The entrance is a bit unwelcoming, but the people who work there are choice! Very friendly & honestly helpful. The color copies are cheapest here, at $0.39/page. Which is 40-50 cents less than Kinko's & Office Depot. [As a college student, these things matter!] read more
