I came to Staples with a large number of Amazon returns. I had multiple boxes and several QR codes to process. At first, Bruno wasn't sure everything would fit into the boxes he already had open, but he was willing to give it a try. In the end, Bruno got additional boxes and made everything fit so he could accept all of my returns. He was kind, patient, and thoughtful throughout the entire process, and he worked hard to get everything completed efficiently. Do not go. Amazon sent me there to return a parcel. All the information were confirmed and QR code printed. The flat out reject to ship it. It seems like somehow the corporate and store are not aligned on what customer service they are providing. I have to spend 30 with Amazon to re-print label to UPS and find another time to return. I am a loyal (paying) customer of Staples but on this occasion I came in to drop off an Amazon return. I stood at the designated "returns" counter and waited while the clerk waited on a line of customers across the way, including several who got in line after I did. Eventually I went to this other line and when I got to the front the clerk told me to go stand at the other side, because it is "Staples' policy" to "prioritize paying customers". He was very rude about it. There were also several other Staples employees standing around in other areas doing nothing. Crazy, does Staples think I will ever be back again to spend money on product? Come on Staples, change your policy or at least train your employees on providing good customer service. read more

Customer service is rude. Specially if you're returning from Amazon. They will make you wait for a long time and they will not treat you as a customer. I was there first and the agent will attend to each and every other customer and even wait for a customer coming in and attend to that person first. Went in today to grab a quick order with my toddler and I couldn't find something and I asked a lady with glasses at the counter what the code was for the bathroom for my daughter and she immediately cuts me off "we don't give out the code and it ain't working" I said okkkk. Best passport photo experience I've ever had. I think I was in and out within 5 minutes (perfect when your running late to the passport appointment) and the photo quality was decent. They use a light box type background and my undereye bags were perfectly highlighted. Jokes aside, this was way better than my typical drug store passport photo experience. Note for those looking to have a digital and physical copy, they offer both. The photos are overpriced but that's inherent to passport photos in general. I visited Staples for passport photos on Sunday, arriving at 5:07 PM (well before their 6 PM closing time). I was second in line at the printing department. However, from the moment before it was my turn, the employee's attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. He looked at his watch repeatedly, and he sighed when I told him my request, then led me to the photo area with reluctance. When I asked for a mirror--something reasonable, given that passport photos last a decade--he didn't have one. Instead, he seemed annoyed when I asked for a moment to prepare. When he took my photo, he neither showed me the image nor asked for my approval. Instead, he printed it immediately. The result? My shirt was lopsided, and the photo was unflattering, looking like a criminal, leaving me incredibly dissatisfied. I walked into Staples in a good mood and left feeling frustrated and disrespected. The next day, I went to UPS on Bryant St. in Palo Alto to retake my passport photo. The contrast in service was astonishing. The staff at UPS were courteous, accommodating, and professional. They even showed me the photo and ensured I was happy with it before printing--and it was cheaper, too! Staples, this experience was unacceptable. Customer service should be a priority, not an afterthought. I shop at this store a few times a year and have used most of their services including dropping off returns, purchasing school supplies, getting passport photos, and print/copying/scanning documents. I've had consistently friendly service and have grown to appreciate the retro feel of the store. Today I went in for scanning/printing help and worked with Alex. Came to this staples to do an Amazon/ Express return. Apparently they only allow you to do 3 returns a day because "she was the only one working and they are doing the returns as a courtesy " (her words). Unfortunately, I had more than 3 returns...not from this area and there aren't a lot of staples left, so had I known about the 3 returns rule they have I wouldn't have chosen to come to this staples. This place is basic. Bad tone, terrible expression and overall 2 dismissive attitudes in 1 trip = BASIC. I was sent "over there..." and to the Amazon counter with my return. The lady at the counter turned me me, "If you would've said "store return", you would've been helped." Honestly, it's my fault for ordering a print job again from this Staples after I had such a bad experience the first time but here we are. Absolutely do NOT get anything important printed at this Staples. I had designed wedding Save the Dates on Canva and there was an option to pick up at the local staples which seemed perfect...terrible idea. The picture came out significantly darker than the picture was line (and I have since gotten that same picture printed at Walgreens and CVS and confirmed that the staples printing was the issue..not my picture). The second time I wanted to pick up my wedding welcome sign. Got there at 4:25 pm on a Sunday. I was told that the Printer guy was on his "lunch break" and would be back in 10 minutes. The employees absolutely insisted that he was the only person capable of handing me the poster that I had already pre-paid for and had received an email stating that it was ready for pickup. Made the Right Choice Out of the box, Set this HP printer up literally in minutes on phone then Samsung laptop. Pretty good for an old lady! Struggled with old Cannon Pixma printer for years having ink dry out and losing bluetoorh connection, printer abrasion. Today after discovering how old the thing really was, decided to recycle. Called this staples at 3:50 pm to ask if a product was in stock and they confirmed it was. Drove 30 min to get there at 4:20 and this lady "Teresa" just rudely told me and another patron that it was closed already even though the website said they closed at 5:00pm. There was no explanation and we were very confused since they seem to be helping other customers still and the doors were wide open. We checked the signs outside - they said close at 5 pm. I went back in to ask more clarification but I couldn't get a word in. She seems mad she's working "late" on Easter Sunday and her kids are waiting for her and that she doesn't want to be there anymore at that time. I tried to explain I just needed to pick up the item I called over for and leave but no, more rude remarks from her. I have two donut shops, and asked about their printing services & and if their prices were competitive. The store manager told me the prices are competitively priced & turn around time is usually 48-72 hrs on most promo items. Well, this beats the online services that I always use cause I have to wait for shipping or pay xtra to expedite orders. Will come back to try out their printing services soon. I came in for a passport photo and he was the only employee in the store handling two customers at checkout, one with a return, someone at the self service printer, and me. His attitude was so positive despite clearly being short staffed, and his flawless execution bouncing from one customer to the next almost made it seem like were three employees there. The guy who checked me out didn't tell me about $5 off if I downloaded the app .. didn't even ask for me to set up an account when the first two numbers didn't work.. the guy who helped get the printer toner for me had stated hey, did you give her $5 off for downloading the app? .. But the cashier was too late so I figured I use it for a print However there was an African American man in the copy print section who when I got there took a minute to acknowledge me. I come here every year to get my custom holiday cards. I use the groupon deal which is only $8 for 25 cards and pick up in store to save on shipping. It's the best deal out there! I've gotten cards from Shutterfly, tiny prints, Costco in previous years for different occasions and the Staples Groupon deal is the best one. The print quality is great too for the price. I don't really need to have the prettiest cards. I bet most people I send one to will probably look at it for 3 seconds and throw it into the recycle bin anyways. I customized with a template on their website. There are plenty of designs to choose from. An area of improvement is the photo upload tool isn't the most sophisticated. For example, you can't re-center the photo to your liking. It takes me twice as long to create the final product since I have to do a bit of ghetto photo editing in paint then trial/error as I don't have a better picture editing tool. The order was ready earlier than expected. The shopping strip this place is in has plenty of parking. Picking up was easy. No complains! Very happy with the final product and service! read more
