I'm not sure if these reviews do any good, but I was so angry by the time I left, I sat out in my car and called the corporate office. They listened to me, but I felt he blew me off like a bad cold. I was using their Amazon return service. There were two people in front of me and about 6 or so people behind me waiting. There was one person at the Amazons return. She stopped in the middle of a return to check out a customer. I couldn't believe it.I saw maybe two customers in the store. There were more employees on the floor than customers. Several of us asked if there was anyone else to help and basically got ignored.i noticed one young man moving boxes around. He was "working" right in front of us. He finally said he would help the next person in line. I got up there and I said "you've got to be kidding me. You saw all these people in line and just now you offered to help?" He told me that he had just come to work and had some things to do. I grew up in retail and know what good customer service is. To say the least it was anything but good customer service. I asked him if I could speak to the manager and he told me he was the manager. I told him he better get his shit together then, because there were so many people waiting in line, and he just did his own thing. He said he had his shit together and that the Amazon return was a courtesy service and then said "do you want to return this or not" I could not get out of there fast enough. Everybody in line was complaining. That"manager" needs some basic training in customer service and respect! I will never go back to Staples! read more

My wife owns a home daycare business and buys much of her office supplies, board games and supplies for arts and crafts here. I buy fun stuff like computer peripherals and Norton 360 here since Staples always has the best price--especially for Norton. But anyway, we were in the store today, found everything we needed but boy! did we get a surprise at checkout. Robert, our cashier, brought up my wife's account and announced that, thanks to the unredeemed points we'd built up on her Easy Rewards program, not only were we getting a THIRTY-SIX DOLLAR discount, but we had an additional $20 off added to the account. And talk about your perfect timing--today was the last day of that deal!!! Robert's boss Virgil, who'd been standing nearby, explained how we'd qualified for all that savings and why it was important to check the app. OK, we don't but if we did, we wouldn't have gotten that great surprise. You could see and hear how happy he, along with Robert, was that the store could award us these savings. So Robert, thank you for being our early Santa on these few days before Christmas. You really made our day. Here's wishing Santa is as generous to you and yours as you and Staples were to us. read more

I was happy with my computer until I had a need to use the administrator account. Then I found out that the admin account on my staples computer needs a password because that Password is not blank. NOT impressed by the tech support there at Staples Port Orchard after conversing with them. Instead of them telling me what my default admin password is, they wanted me to bring my computer in for service with my credit card open. Over the years i have spent a fair amount of money there buying printers, drives, and other computer related equipment. WHAT A BUNCH OF CRAP from a bunch of hacks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It costs them nothing to provide me an admin password. It should be blank or some sort of default password that can be changed later. Maybe it's time to take them to Port Orchard Court House small claims!!!! I DOUBT THAT THEY EVEN CARE ABOUT REVIEWS ABOUT THEIR STORE. ANYBODY GET A RESPONSE FROM THEM. read more

Went their for cardboard boxes the sign said 50% off if you buy 5 or more so I look at the price their like 2.30 or so a piece so I'm thinking that's a pretty good deal, I get to the counter with 6 boxes and two rolls of tape, she said 25.00 and I'm thinking that can't be right, well come to find out the reg price isn't out their it's already the sales price , I think it should have had a regular price then a sales price, now I don't feel like it was such a good deal. read more

I went in to the store today to grab a few things and have my passport photos done. The staff was attentive to my needs and were extremely helpful. I encountered a few associates while I was there and they all went above and beyond to assist me in a few different departments. Everyone seemed to enjoy their job. It really made my day to encounter such wonderful, consistent and friendly customer service. I rarely go into this store but I will be shopping here more often! read more

I went into Staples and waited at least 1/2 hour for anyone to acknowledge I was there. And during this wait, I counted at least 4-5 other employees. There were more employees than customers so not sure why someone was not helping me. Then finally a girl walked about looking very annoyed, asked me a couple questions, said I needed to make a couple copies, then she left and never came back. Let me be clear. I WILL NEVER SET FOOT IN THAT STORE EVER AGAIN! Ended up going to another printing place and they were very, very helpful Not even 1 star. Sad, sad place in our community... read more

I've never had any problems with this store. The copy and print department is exceptional. I've had photo enlargements done here, and they do a MUCH better job than Walgreens or any of the online stores like Vistaprint. Highly recommend! read more

Overall their employees are so nice! I've been in there several times and each time they go above and beyond! I had an issue where my business cards were cut wrong. Computer buyers and those who need technical support, BEWARE! The Tech Dept here is terrible - they pretend to be knowledgeable when they definitely are not. I bought over $5,000 worth of computers last July - a Robert partitioned a 1,000 GB hard drive into C and D - with only 80 GB on drive C - it filled up recently, Oultlook was lost and i was unable to email for three days.- i took it back and Andrew, a dept manager, wanted to hold my computer for three or more days and charge me $69 per hour and could not be sure he could fix it - he wandered around the blogs trying to find the solution. I picked up my computer - drove to Gig Harbor, took it into Office Depot where Aaron was able to transfer data from drive C to D in about 15 minutes, spent another half hour re-installing Outlook and charged me only $30. Bottom line - Do NOT let Staples Port Orchard touch your computer!! Or, you will be sorry. read more

When my daughters homeschool laptop died I took it to staples. I bought it here and have always got great customer service over the years with it. They have kept us up and running. This time the hard drive crashed. The manager Robert was amazing. We were going to send it out for repair but I was worried about my kid falling behind. He fixed it in store instead in 2 days over the weekend. I'm writing this review because during our conversation Robert shared that he was dealing personally with some serious health issues. I realized that although a broken school laptop is important to my life we have no idea what kinds of things the people in our community who are there to help us are going through themselves. I want to publicly thank Robert for his attention to my need and his professionalism and sharing his computer expertise and let him know I'm praying for him that God restores his health as we need his passion in Port Orchard. I purchased a new Lenovo laptop, in October 2019 at Staples. My first Lenovo (and my last). The sales people and tech staff were very professional and helpful. A couple months later, when I opened my laptop I found that the, "D", key had literally popped off. It was resting loose on the keyboard. This is insane because the computer was barely two months old and had been very lightly used. It rests either on my lap, or on my desk. The Staples technician told me that because there was a clip (to the D key) missing, that they would have to replace the entire keyboard, at my expense. I had originally purchased the extended tech support and added protection from Staples. I'd thought the entire computer was protected, but apparently I'd misunderstood. It was covered for internal issues with no coverage for external breakage. Staples tech told me to call Lenovo for manufacturer's warranty. When I spoke to Lenovo, they said if I hadn't purchased it online, that I needed to return it to the retailer. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER LENOVO IN MY LIFE AND STRONGLY SUGGEST AGAINST IT FOR OTHER'S SHOPPING FOR ELECTRONICS. A couple days later I received a call from the Port Orchard Staples manager, Larry. He was so awesome! He apologized for my time and trouble and assured me that Staples techs would replace the keyboard. On them! What a wonderful experience to have good old fashioned customer service and a company that takes care of it's customers! When I moved and wanted to update my address on my Staples Rewards card, the employees here have told me to "go online" and do it. Problem is, I can't figure out how to get that done on their website. Another time, I bought something online and was told I could return purchases at any Staples store, but some kid with a nose ring behind the counter at this store said he couldn't help me. Today, when I bought toner and exchanged my old cartridge, I didn't get the rebate that I've gotten at other stores in the past. The cashier talked so fast about the discount I'd get for bringing in my old cartridge, that I got confused and didn't notice until I got home that all I got was 1cent (!) credit for bringing in my old cartridge. I'm done with Staples and the flunkies who work for them. read more

If I could give them a negative star I would! We dropped our laptop off over a month and a half ago to have the fan replaced. We have struggled with zero communication from managers and "techs" or so they call themselves, we called and they couldn't find our paperwork, and lied to over and over about the status and completion time frame. We received a call two days ago saying it was finally fix and stopped by yesterday to pick up said fixed computer and it would turn on! Received a call last night saying they found the issue and fixed it.... Stopped by this morning and computer didn't freaking turn on!!!! DO NOT EVER USE THEM TO FIX YOUR COMPUTER!!!! We still can't get our computer and they have to keep it for an undetermined amount of time :/ Just absolutely terrible customer service!!! I will be calling corporate again read more

Just avoid this location. Customer service is bad and god forbid you ask a question. We went in here just to do a quick fax and it's a machine so we stood there and started putting the info in and realized we needed a cover sheet so I go stand in front of the counter and I'm standing there for a few minutes before they finally stop talking and ask me what I needed. I didn't want to be rude but damn I should have just interrupted them. The lady tells me that the machine automatically does it for you if you want a cover sheet. I'm like ok cool. I go back and finish up the fax. From there I ask the lady who at this point is talking about going on break, if I did it right and she's like well there's pictures. I'm like OK yeah for sure but if I am just asking just to get verify like you can just look over and tell me???? It doesn't hurt to be nice and it goes a long way. She could have easily just looked over and said oh no you didn't or you did but hey there's pictures to show you. Instead of being a rude person and not even looking up because your counting down to break time. I get it retail isn't super easy but damn. read more

I went in last week to get a virus protector for my infected laptop and ended up bringing it in the next day to get it repaired. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My laptop was in only one night and by the next day when I picked it up, it was working again with an newly installed virus protector (Kaspersky). The virus protector works like a charm and is easy to operate. I'm glad I took it in here since it's on my way home from school anyways. Overall I give it 4 stars. read more

We only had a few minutes to pick up some needed supplies. In less than 5 minutes we were asked by 3 different associates if they could help us. One took us to two different locations to get the supplies we needed. Very friendly and helpful staff. We got what we needed and were on our way in a very short time. read more

The people in the copy printing department are terrible and never helpful. They always are rude, even though I've dealt with different people, I finally just had to walk out the last time I was there because I couldn't deal with them anymore. read more

Two star because the employees are nice BUT oh my gosh, no one seems to know how to do their job :( Every time I go here my very small printing job takes FOREVER!! The printer either is busted, the card reader doesn't work and the employees always seem to need to call another employee over for help. Like I said, every one is super Nice, but this is a store designed to help people with their project and they don't seem to hold the knowledge to do so. read more

We have been using Staples computer department for several years after a very bad experience with The Geek Squad. Robert is simply the best he has come to our home, set up our home network, installed updates, and made reccomendations when time to upgrade. He also reccomended Staples virus software and we must say one of the best decisions we made was forgetting Norton Antivirus and installing Staples Antivirus. Never had anything but the best experience with their computer department. read more
