A really nice perk for Elite status in Philippine Airlines is the lounge privilege at the LA airport. I had no idea until the ticket agent told me. I was able to bring one guest but since there were three of us I had to pay $75 for one add'l person. It was worth it. Anytime you're traveling, a nice lounge takes the edge off the long distance travel. The food was great. So many to describe all fresh & delicious. One really cool thing was being your own Mixologist & enjoying a well stocked bar. I was able to mix drinks for my sister & brother in law. The lounge had a lot of comfortable chairs & sofas. Easy to fall asleep there. What a great way to prepare for the long 15 hr flight.

Although very crowded and still popular since its opening, Its one of the best lounges at LAX in terms of food, space, wine, user friendliness. A star alliance business ticket, gold status or if you want to pay the fee, $70, gets you in. While most airport lounges are on the mediocre side, the SAL at LAX offers very good food, dessert, wines and a nooodle bar. There is always room to sit for someone getting in at all hours even during heavily trafficked times. I've not encountered lines out the door like many airport lounges throughout the states. Closes at 1am, I've run here after landing to get a quick dinner on the way home. Can't complain, nice food, comfy environs, quick bussers. Love this lounge at TBIT. End of Yelp.

I had some time to kill and walked the 20 minutes from Terminal 7 over to Terminal B to see this lounge for the first time. It was located on the top floor with a view over the international terminal. Being a Star Alliance Gold got me in. The staff at the front reminded me that no flight announcements were made inside and to mind my own flight times. Inside there was a lot of seating and about 50% full at that time of day. The outside patio seating was more open and a lot nicer. Seating was comfortable. Staff came by frequently to clear seats plates and glasses. A full size bar was surprisingly quiet but the dining area was busy. There was a wide selection of food options that afternoon from sliders, wraps, salads and desserts. Hot food included rice pilaf, Kung Pao vegetables and chicken in a mustard sauce. I actually found the chicken to be moist and tasty. At the end was a soda dispenser, espresso machine and out of view a refrigerated case of beers. This will now be my go to lounge in LAX when I have to time.

I had the pleasure of trying out this lounge prior to my trip to Manila. I managed to accumulate enough points to be able to avail of priority check-in, boarding, and lounge access. Star Alliance Lounge is partnered with Philippine AIrlines and as long as you are partnered member (Mabuhay Miles) flying a related aircraft, you are able to avail of the lounge. Star alliance lounge has a lot to offer. They have an abundance of food which is frequently refilled when it runs low. They consistently clean out the tables and the plates when there is no one seated. The restrooms are regularly cleaned. Best of all, their charging outlets work. At first glance, the seating does look a little tight especially in the indoor areas of the lounge, however, if you walk a little further past the movie room, and into the outdoor area, there is more space which I also think is more suitable for bigger groups and families since theyre mostly couches. I encourage everyone to visit the fridge in the not-so hidden corner. Some of the good stuff is in there including non-alcoholic drinks in pitchers. There are smaller refrigerators scattered around the indoor part of the lounge too where you can grab a bottle of beer or a can. Food has a variety of entree, soups, salads, small bites and sweets. I went straight for the soups. I just felt it was the most cozy meal i can have while i waited for my flight to be called. They have some screens scattered through the venue, too so you can monitor your own flight. For those that are not lounge members can also pay about $70 to get in and use their amenities. You can even ask the staff if you could look around first before deciding to pay and use their benefits. Too bad i can only experience this once a year when i travel internationally. Overall, im satisfied with my visit.

Excellent lounge in the Tom Bradley international terminal. We had the option of this one or One World lounge for Fiji Airways business class, and the staff recommended this one for the open air terrace. Food selection during late dinner time was above average with plenty of fresh options. My favorite part was their noodle soup station where you had choices of rice or wheat noodles, chicken pho broth or Thai curry soup, and toppings galore. It's hidden in a little alcove to the right. Only con was that it was very crowded. It's a large lounge with a lot of seating options, but nearly everything was taken up, especially with folks taking up double the seating with their bags.

Great soot to relax before your flight. Just wish there was more food choices. No wait to get in and super fast to access with boarding pass

Lounge located on the second level in LAX with patio seating and Asian inspired eats , charcuterie, and wine/beers. Came here prior to my Copa flight and partook of the buffet food to prepare. There is a DIY noodle soup bar in the back as well, so I suggest making room for that. Plenty of outlets available and there is WiFi. Showers are available but you need to ask an attendant to prep one for you. It was pretty crowded when I was there but the overall vibe was still much more relaxed than the main terminal. They had nice smelling lotion in the restrooms and I did enjoy hanging out here while waiting for my flight.

This is one of my favorite airline lounges, and I look forward to spending time here waiting for an international flight out of LAX. Located beyond security on Level 6 of Bradley International Terminal, take the elevator up to the lounge. The food and drinks here are very good. Beer, some liquors and mixers, and wine are self service. There is also a full bar with bartender. The main food buffet is central in the lounge. Items on the buffet vary by time of day. My favorite spot, however, is the soup and noodle bar. You'll find it at the rear end of the buffet, to the right, and then a left. On this visit, I took a bowl of Thai coconut soup (Tom Kha) and added noodles, chicken, scallions, jalapeños, and basil -- see my Tom Kha Gai photo. The lounge itself is very contemporary. It features both indoor and "outside" seating, which is on a terrace overlooking the Bradley International Terminal Departure area. Seating in both areas is very comfortable. Lounge staff is friendly and helpful

Absolutely wonderful time at the Star Alliance Lounge. Derek was exception, actually over heard someone who mention his wife had met him 3 months ago at the lounge and raved about him. You have to make such a wonderful impression to have a customer mention you by name from 3 months ago. Drink are exceptional and attitude amazing ! Derek is the person to see, too 3 drinks "New You" and "cucumbertini"

I have been to this lounge about three times now. It's a good size and we were able to find seats every time. The place is clean and has a buffet style area that they keep stocked most of the times I visited. The bar is nice and has a variety of liquor. You have self server beer area. They come around regularly to clean up and grab your used dishes. It is a great place to wait for your flight if you have access. Much better than the public waiting area. Hope you can get in if you use LAX.

    Let the journey begin....

For me, the most consistent lounge at Tom Bradley terminal. Star Alliance is used for all partner airlines and I been with them all. They also welcome AmEx platinum with biz class tickets. Plenty of outside space (even though it's inside) feel and a great little wine bar with champagne, Rosè, Chardonnay and nice reds. The food selection is also great and the secret noodle bar is a real find. So, grab a seat and a glass and get ready to travel. It's a great start!!

    Dinner on the go :)

This isn't the overpacked lounge with scroungy looking fruit and cups of yoplait. No, you order from a menu. I wish I'd had time to really peruse the menu - due to delays, our 3 hour layover was reduced to less than an hour. Because of time constraints, we both ordered a breakfast croissant. Perfectly scrambled eggs, thick crispy bacon, cheddar and avacado all nestled in a large, fresh croissant. Delicious. As it was breakfast time, a lovely display of morning baked goods, both sweet and savory, were displayed for your choosing. There are small bags if you are just running through. We tried a jam bar and a palmier - both were also delicious. Mimosas were freely flowing and the bar was open. Cappuccinos, lattes, flat whites and even plain old regular black coffee is available. Just ask. There is an outdoor seating area that I would have loved to have had time to sit and enjoy. You have to check out the bathrooms - my husband was oddly excited about the individual stalls. I'm now sitting in a Sky Club in Atlanta. I'd normally be happy as could be, but now it's a bit of a let down. It's time to just shake off the fairyland of flying Delta One and come back to my Southwest Airlines basic fare lifestyle. Normally, the buffets at Sky Clubs have a very reliably good chicken salad sandwich, which was missing. Instead, they had a pinwheel chipotle beef wrap sandwich that was good. I debated taking one to go as well, but decided against it. They had a nice mixed greens salad and an excellent and noteworthy broccoli bacon salad with red grapes and some type of creamy dressing. They also had pork carnitas from the hot side of the buffet. In addition, they had these mixed berry shortcakes served in mini Mason jars. In one word: disappointed. THE FOOD: While there were more options than a typical lounge, quantity didn't make up for quality. The food simply didn't compare to the Centurion Lounge in taste or execution. Even more surprising, several items ran out and sat empty for a while before staff noticed or replenished them. THE SERVICE: This was a mixed bag. On the positive side, when I asked about a specific item being restocked, the manager personally brought out a fresh plate of my favorite dish, which was appreciated. That said, the overall attentiveness felt inconsistent (see below). THE AMBIANCE: It's definitely more private and feels a bit more "exclusive"... but not necessarily more comfortable. The main seating area was extremely warm. When I asked about it, I was told it was due to the sun pouring in through the large windows. Unfortunately, that didn't make the experience any less uncomfortable--I was genuinely miserable trying to relax before my flight. Bottom line: For the premium price, I expected a noticeably elevated experience across the board. Instead, it felt like a modest upgrade in space, but a downgrade in comfort and food quality.
