Tuesday morning, we picked up the 18 donuts we had ordered. They didn't have a box to use so they put them in bags. Yes, they were fresh but the ones that were supposed to be blueberry, raspberry and custard contained very little filling. It seems that they have reduced the fillings probably to save money. I'm bummed this wasn't the donut spot I hoped for. Took my littles to go grab some donuts. First impression was okay, small quaint space/ The main employee (or maybe manager) wasn't the friendliest or welcoming. It was fairly early on a weekday and they were out of a lot of items. Got the donuts & went to sit at a table. Unfortunately there were no high chairs. The donuts were good but the icing almost flaked & crumbled off. Have never tried this shop before. Employee at the register was very loudly telling a customer they could not refund an over charge. Other employee could not take an order due to the loud volume of the employee and register being tied up. Purchased a dozen donuts, several bottles of milk and orange juice for about $30. Got to my car, realized the orange juices were expired by 2 months. Had to return to the store and wait to explain their juices in the cooler were expired. Employee only had warm ones to replace it. Did not offer an apology, free one, etc. and didn't remove the expired ones from the cooler. Will not be back. read more

I've rated this place highly before and come here twice a week for almost three years. The people who own it are super nice and the donuts have always been top quality. Recently however for the past 2 weeks there donut quality has dropped dramatically. Fraying seems to taste weird and the bread is slightly harder than it should be. Hope this place changes back to having good donuts but I won't be coming here for awhile. If your just looking at the drinks tho this place is really good. read more

Stopped in at 9am on a Saturday morning, for a first time visit, to Star Donuts. There was a long-ish line waiting to order, but it moved really quickly. They definitely have an effective system worked out to get everyone taken care of quickly. The staff were incredibly friendly. I placed an order for two dozen donuts, mixed variety, and it didn't break the bank. I can attest to some of the other reviews I've read, the donuts are light and fluffy. There was no heavy denseness to these donuts, which I though was amazing. They also aren't overly sweet, just the right amount.
