I was able to go down to the shops and do my food shopping while waiting for the machines to finish. The dryers and washers are super efficient and huge. Squeaky Clean Laundry

On the surface a laundromat is a laundromat. Same bland white walls, same rows of washing machines…read moreand dryers lined up. But this one is in a fairly ritzy suburb and it only costs $2.20 per load. Add 20 cents for a cup of detergent or BYO laundry powder and you're laughing. The industrial size dryers are also comparitively cheap - it costs me $4 for half an hour drying time, which easily delivers a large load warm and toasty dry. The laundromat is always kept shiny and clean (by name, by nature) and I have no hesitation in nipping off while my clothes wash or dry without fear my precious garments will be stolen. As an added bonus there is the wall of posters advertising upcoming shows, perfect for staring mindlessly at as you wait for your rinse cycle to finish. There are also more gossip magazines than you can poke a stick at. The only downside is there are no change machines on site so make sure you stock up on your dollar coins before giving it a whirl. In a nutshell - I feel so clean!

I grabbed a Garden of Unearthly Delights booklet when I went through which was great preparation for the Fringe that is coming up. No as many machines as some but they're normally seem to be a few empty. Prices are normal sort of range but I almost come just for the decor.

Yes, that's right, they filled a prescription 'while I waited' - I'm impressed. I'm also impressed that I was flying through the car park just after they closed, to get some Aloe Vera sunburn cream, and had seen them taking the 'open' signs inside - yet when I turned up at the door in the vague hopes I wasn't too late they took the time to come over and ask what I was after, and let me in to grab some. All in all, the service here is brilliant - I can't even tell you if they're cheap or expensive compared to other chemists, because I just don't care - the service is worth any price difference between other stores.

Snowtex: convenient and well-priced dry cleaners! - but probably not for rodeo clowns…read more I work a M-F 9-5er, and, although I realise I'm not either A) alone in this or B) the only one on the planet, it really irks me when a business can't facilitate customers who can't attend during weekdays. For the past 5 years, I've been frequenting the Snowtex dry cleaners located on the outside of the Torrens Park/Mitcham shopping centre complex. They have a range of services on offer, but I have predominantly utilised them to get my suits dry cleaned. They offer a 24 hour drop-off and pick up service, which definitely 'suits' my needs (that must've been 'pun'ishing to read! Haha - Bam Bam! Double pun!) Their prices have changed a little over the years, but not enough for me to go looking elsewhere. They have another outlet in Keswick to for anyone on that side of the city. The alterations/repairs I've had done over the years have been timely, affordable and well done. You can't go wrong with Snowtex. Unless you're a rodeo clown. Then, I imagine you might need a slightly more 'robust' service. But for most of us, Snowtex is the way to go.

It does a lot of local business, so the people who know it don't mind. Their prices are $9.95 for one item or $18.95 for three, so it's definitely worth waiting until you have three. Their same day service is handy, because you can drop off before work and pick it up after. It's especially handy because, if you live nearby, you're likely to drive past it on either of the main roads, and it's super easy to get into - plenty of car parks out front that are mostly empty. They're open from 7am, so it's nice and easy to get something in early, as long as you're back by 5.30pm, which is fine for most people. It's also great if you're a procrastinator and leave these kinds of things to the day before a wedding...

What's something good I can say about this place....? It's in a convenient locator ion that's close to work, however this doesn't count for much since you're going to be late for work anyway because the staff like to keep people waiting. Speaking of the staff there is a serious attitude problem, as they love to let you know just how much of an inconvenience you being there is to them. I think that this place looking to get the pocket my name is in a pair of trousers replaced. I was charged $50 and asked to return in a week. Upon collecting my trousers I found for the pocket linings were not replaced, just the holes sewn up. This meant that I had to purchase linings and see them into the trousers myself only a week later. When trying to discuss this with establishment of the attitude went from cold and distant to hot and hostile very quickly! You do not want to pull these guys up on their mistakes!
