And so is her mama (Ashley)…read more I went to them on a recommendation after a terrible experience at a different salon (not in Campbellsville), and I haven't gone anywhere else since. These ladies are my people! First, Nessa helped to correct the hack job done by another salon and walked me through a plan to help my nails not only look better, but to heal. Ultimately no longer needing acrylics to be strong, which shows they care more about the person than the paycheck. Nessa always does a beautiful job - and is so patient when I'm indecisive about a color or style lol - and Ashley is fantastic as well. And even during their busiest seasons, if you give them enough notice, they will find some way to make sure you are taken care of. I've never considered myself a "girly-girl" but I look forward to my trips to see these amazing humans - I feel pampered and confident and filled with Joy and laughter every time I visit. I am now blessed to call them friends. Absolutely 100/10 recommend.

I sent a message via FB asking if they had anyone who could do my 91-year old mother's hair and was basically told "sorry we can't help you". That was it. No explanation, nothing, just a "sorry but no". So apparently, unless you are young and want something trendy and fashionable they aren't interested. However, Lori at Shaggy's Salon in Campbellsville came highly recommended by my neighbor who's been going to her for over 25 years and she was very happy to take care of my mother. In fact, I'll be making my own appointments in the future there as well.

I arrived with a few other girls to get our nails done as a fun after-Christmas event. The gentleman that helped me had an Eggnog Hangover, or is a few fries short of a Happy Meal because he was all over the place. First, I explained I wanted a manicure and a shellac color. He said "manicure and acrylic?" I explained that I did not want the acrylic. He kept asking me until the message, somehow, was understood. The business only has one light for the Shellac/Gel nails and this made the process not only long, but I considered walking out half-way because the 2 hour mark for being there was upcoming. Also, they told my mother that they could use regular OPI nail polish and put the shellac top-coat and make it a Shellac/Gel color. WRONG! I tried to protest the lady, saying I was not sure if that was possible and she ignored my comments. My mom's color immediately started cracking and peeling. Thankfully, they took off the color, but not without sacrificing her nail bed by using the electric buffer. Their Gel Colors/Shellac is lacking. The few they have available do not have brushes inside the polish pot. When the lady switched a brush from one pot to the other polish, the brush crippled up and made the painting process even longer. There are a few bubbles in my polish, which is disappointing of course. Again, on the topic of cleanliness: This place needs some desperate attention. They had cleaning supplies scattered about, so I hope that at some point they decide to sweep, mop and dust. I think it goes without saying that this is the worst place to get your nails done in Campbellsville. It's a joke. Save your money, time and sanity.

My husband had an expert pedicure which he truly enjoyed on a cold winter day and I had a manicure which was leisurely given and truly relaxing. If you haven't tried 1 Nails on 210 N Bypass Rd. in Campbellsville, Ky. lately, since the new owners, you are in for a real treat!!!! Woohoo!
