Now I'm doing a tiny one year dental course from this institute, and it's the worst decision I've ever made. The teachers are mean and unprofessional! We have 2 trainers everyday teaching us different methods and have an absolutely different explanation for what they want. The admin people keep loosing our unit marks and send us letters stating our slow progress. When my class complained about this they simply apologised saying the trainers dint send them our updated scores. The teachers keep screaming uselessly, if you don't get anything they make you feel like a looser and insult you in front of the whole class. I suggest don't ever apply in this institute ! We have filed complaint forms too but they do nothing about it.

So I thought what the hell it's close, I'll give it a go. I'll admit being an institute I was a little nervous thinking some student hack would leave me looking a bit worse for wear. I walked in and one of the teachers quickly found someone to help me. Walking towards the back of the building to the treatment rooms I was a bit concerned but my beauty therapist was chatty friendly and über professional. The treatment rooms were spotless, not as pretty as other salons but hey with the cost of an eyebrow wax only $11, less then half of the average full service salon I don't mind a spare treatment room. My therapist was excellent. She was not a student but rather a full time employee who works there, so treatments are done by experienced staff. She also trimmed by fringe and I was pleasantly surprised when the bill came to $19. Apart from hair and waxing they also do massages, pedis and manis. I will be back and will be referring my friends to go there as well. Great value for money and great service.

A great, friendly language centre that believes small classes are a better way to learn. And…read morethey're right, well at least it worked for me. I studied Japanese here but they also teach Chinese, Spanish, French, Italian and German. They offer free books for those learning Spanish, and all students get a free class after their third session. What I really liked about attending Lyceum was the location. There's a tram right out in front and a couple of good eating and drinking spots for afterward.

While unfortunately it turns out that German isn't exactly my favourite thing in the world, Lyceum Language School was great. The school is set in a really convenient location for anyone living on the north side of the city. They offer classes at all levels with free trails for beginners at the start of term. Most importantly, class sizes were small (ranging between 4-10 students) so you had plenty of one on one interaction with your teacher. The teachers are all native speakers and it cost $298 for ten 1.5 hour classes. This price is well worth it in return for mastering a new language, or, in my case, realising that your strengths may just lie elsewhere.

Well known for industry connections, the trainers that I have spoken to here are patient and helpful. A few cool things about MCIE: -Diverse group of trainers with a whole range of worldwide experience -Commercial Kitchen -Early childhood and education simulation room -Aged care simulation room The campus has a computer lab, and 2 lunchrooms. You can often see staff sharing a lunch room with students which seems to really build the friendship. This is a great place to meet local and international friends and study something you are interested in.
