Awww Carp Starbucks you have been terrific until today. I ordered online, the wait said 8-12 minutes. I got there at 10 minutes knowing I would need to wait a few minutes. But while waiting I counted 8 people either waiting for an online order or waiting to order. There was only one girl trying to do it all. Meanwhile, I peer in the back to see 3 employees chatting away. No one came out to help for a good 5 minutes. When they did there was not a care in the world that people were waiting. The first of my online order came 5 minutes after the pickup time and after figuring out my cappuchino was already finished and just sitting next to the espresso machine, I finally just asked for it. Service is terrible, they avoid eye contact and dont want to answer questions. I waited 15 minutes for an iced tea i mobile ordered 10 min prior to arrival, the cafe was NOT busy. This girl barely even looked at me when i asked where my tea was, said she would check without even getting my name. The Carp Starbucks is nice. It's always clean, they make a great coffee PERFECTLY to order and it isn't crowded like all of the other Starbucks. There is ALWAYS parking, you all. They seem to run out of ingredients a little more often than other locations, some of it because of the troubles of the pandemic, but I can't complain one bit about this location. Stopped by on our way out of town last night as Dear Hubby had a Starbucks craving. He went in while I waited in the car. We'd done a lot of walking and I was ready to rest. I have been inside in the past. It's a smaller location in a shopping plaza away from the beach and the downtown area. It's not far off the freeway. Young Man & Young Girl working together tonight for closing shift.. on September 1st, 2022 I was waiting inside Starbucks in line behind a couple to order.. young man with glasses behind the register told me that the register all of a sudden stopped working & said it's a minute before 9pm by the time he decided to say something to me. When I had been waiting for over 5 mins before 9pm as he still took the couple in front me order & still made their drinks. I wouldn't recommend coming to this Starbucks Customer service is horrible & the young man & girl both refused service for no reason as they seen me waiting. This STARBUCKS is the most packed store in Carpinteria always lot's of teenagers male and female. but can't really complain because even if its a small town there are plenty of parking spots around, and including many patio seating outside and inside, cashiers are really fast during sunset hour. and the manger makes the drinks really good , I always wait for the manger to be there because she is so friendly and kind.!!!!! read more

Starbucks is a known entity. That said, this isn't one of the better ones. It's too small for the number of patrons and needs a more regular cleaning. There must have been 25 coffee drinkers packed into this Starbucks this morning. The order line was pinched between the pastry counter and a rack of stuff to buy (mugs, packaged coffee, etc). There weren't enough seats, and the floor needed a sweeping. Corporate should move this to a larger location. This one is showing its age. read more

This Starbucks is not only poorly run, it is dangerous to be in. The sign in the store reads they support social distancing and want only 6 persons in the store at a time. The picture tells a different story. There were 12 people crammed in this store some of who h you don't see in the Pic. They also got 3 orders completely wrong just in the time in I was there. They had a barista doing busy work and not making drinks. Mobile orders that came in way after I placed my in store order were made with priority. All I got was iced tea with light ice and light water. The barista that made mine did extra water and regular ice - she was extra heavy on ice for all other drinks. Worst Starbucks, ever. Writing this review from inside the store. Spent a LONG time waiting in line. The cashier Ricky didn't understand our order 2x, a supervisor came over to help him enter Stevia for our drink. That's not an uncommon request, I think he was in training. With the line nearly extended to the front door, probably safe to say they were understaffed and perhaps a slower cashier should not be used during busy time. Come to my order. According to the same employee that helped cashier enter Stevia into order system, she said their blender was broken and they could not make foam for the pumpkin cream cold brew. Seemed very unapologetic and just said I could get a refund. Refund given, waited for my mom's portion of the order; I left empty handed because of their short commings. A refund, apology, and a "would you like something else for the inconvenience" would have gone a long way considering how dragged out this road trip detour was. Avoid this location. read more

Great location for a Starbucks, near the water and shopping. The service was fast and my drink was served to me correctly. The wait person was courteous and friendly. They do have a gender neutral bathroom, which seems to be the question of the year. There was an outside table for customers that was covered and very quiet. I was asked to leave for not having a mask. I was happy to wait for my coffee outside so I asked if they could notify me while I wait outside. They said no I can not let you know when your coffee is ready. They were extremely rude. On top of it they were wearing clothing affiliated with a political movement that was found to be offensive. Why do you ask for names when you aren't going to call out names? Baristas creates the drinks and places them on the counter. Am i going to just assume it's my drink and go ahead and touch someone else's drink? With covid still being an issue, how is this not being addressed. Came here late on the drive home from NorCal. Employees were friendly and our drinks were made perfectly to order. Line went quickly and drinks were made quickly. Granted it was pretty late at night however some Starbucks are slow even with a short line but these baristas made our drinks quickly even though the line was short. Great job! read more

This is a common stopping place while traveling to LA (they call me the urinator like it's my super power lol) The Fireman can get a quick coffee and I can use a restroom. They only have one (The Fireman says I should be yelping restrooms since I habitat them each visit lol) and it's male/female plus being only one and there's always a line I find it on the dirtier side. Went into Starbucks today for my usual Venti Caramel Frappuccino , I had the pleasure of interacting with Justin, I told him that I was 3 stars away from getting my next reward on the Starbucks app and wanted to know the fastest way to get 3 stars he told me a few different ways but it was so confusing for myself that he just hooked me up with a drink on the house.. Dear Barista Matt, Why do you have to be so incredibly rude? My little brother didn't understand the new tops that you could sip your drink with, without a straw. Matt mocked my brother and continued to ridicule him for accidentally wasting a straw. He did this out loud for everyone to hear. Additionally, when a friend asked for a straw for his Frappuccino, Matt rudely directed him across the store instead of giving him one of the straws sitting right behind the barista counter.
