As with all Starbucks in France, it is quite expensive. my drink ended up costing 25% more than it would have done back home, in the UK and if you included our lower rate of tax it works out around 40% more - crazy! To be fair, this also included the vanilla syrup surcharge which I'd get for free back home as a Gold Starbucks Rewards member, it's still impossible for UK/US/Canada/Ireland/China to use Starbucks Cards in mainland Europe, including France. The store was pretty crammed, the downstairs area is pretty small and at peak times especially with it being right near Saint-Lazare Station, it can get busy and crowded. The staff seem friendly enough and try to deal with it as well as they can. Considering how busy the store was and how I've noticed busy stores tend to rush and mess up drinks, my drink wasn't bad, it tasted good and I did enjoy my Venti Caramel Cloud Macchiato, it was a shame they didn't have any of the new style lids which every other store offered me during my time in Paris. A nice Starbucks store in a good location, with a good selection or merch too, ideal if you want to get a coffee before a train but also good if you want to sit outside or you're lucky enough to get a seat inside. 4*

They make you register to use their free WiFi at this location. Not sure if that's new at all Starbucks or just something different that this location does.

They had a booth on Champs Elysees…read morealong with other vendors. 2 years later, I still crave the Noel Des Cherubins Rooibos tea I got from them. Very flavorful and original. Aromatic and yet not overpowering. Will definitely order online soon.

Paris, Montparnasse and the Rue Daguerre have, if anything, added to their charm and I'll cover that in other reviews. This review is for Le Autre The, a wee tea salon on Rue Daguerre. Upon arrival at the hotel, this typical Glesca tea addict was gasping for a brew (and the chance to pose at a pavement table in my shades and wee black Yves Montand coat...), so a wander 'doon the Rue' brought me here. Now I'm a working class Joe from Springburn, weaned on potent, 'two- tea bags- left in the mug' concoctions, but I grew into alternatives like Earl Grey etc as I realised that my stomach could do without a coating of tar. I'm no afficionado by any means but I know a good cuppa when I get it. Le Autre The hits the spot in more ways than one. From the best Earl Grey I've ever tasted, anywhere, to the attentive service of the friendly staff, this wee place is the perfect spot to relax, have a tasty brew and pretend that you're a local. The prices are great and your pot of tea gives a generous three cups. So get the shades on, scowl a wee bit, light a Disque Blue and take a seat. You'll soon have tourists approaching you in a tangle of bumbags and maps asking for directions...

Now THAT impressed me, I have learned living in Miami not to expect anyone to care so to see that anywhere was quite nice. We actually ate here a couple of times as it was close to our hotel. This probably the only place I have ever encountered the mythical poor service in Paris. It was…read moreunfortunately delivered by a young teenager who was apparently annoyed by my basic french and gave some attitude. This was quickly resolved when I asked him if he spoke English, Spanish or German, to which he answered no on all counts. So I reminded him in Spanish that I spoke 3 languages, which was 2 more than his single tongue and so he needed to chill out, since I was the paying customer. After going through several shades of red, rage I pressume, he quickly realized that in the western world, the paying customer should be treated with respect.... The same respect, I may add that I had been treating him with, until he decided to be snot nose. I must give him credit for his quick turnaround since from that moment on, he became the helpful, polite young man, that his parents no doubt raised him to be. The manager also smoothed things over, by promptly getting involved and speaking to us in pretty good Spanish and also gave us a card good for 1 hour of Wi FI access so cheers for making it right. Coffee, baguettes, sandwiches and OJ and we were ready to tackle the frigid Parisian morning.
