I felt so welcome to this Starbucks for some reason. It could have been the Barista, who looked so nice and looked me in the eye or the ease of ordering, knowing that she would get it right the first time. In any event, this Starbucks has a special feeling about it. It's not glam or hip, but has pesonality that I have never felt before. Being on Pacific Coast Highway helped and finding parking in front of the store were all pluses. I ended up getting a trenta ice tea, chocolate croissant and plain bagel. Despite them being out of the item I ordered in the app, he was solutions oriented, professional, and generally delightful. Solutions oriented and even hand delivered my replacement order. I came in just to get a simple cup of water. The girl at the cashier names Hailey or something was giving me such a stink eye. When I asked for the water she immediately looked at me and my friend and said are you gonna buy something? I understand that you want people to buy stuff, but a nicer way would have been "Of course anything else?" Customer service is a big part of this job and if you cant even do that you shouldn't have your job. We were gonna buy more stuff but that comment felt so degrading. I cant have caffeine so I choose water and get the food there. I mean you know what you are getting with a Starbucks. Placed my order, picked it up and it tasted exactly as I expected. Thank you for the consistency. Parking is limited but we walked in. I asked for the iced pumpkin spice latte and they gave me the pumpkin cream chai. I kindly asked them if they were sure this was the pumpkin spice latte because I knew this is what the chai looked like and she told me that the drink I had was the coffee one. I asked if they were sure because it tasted like chai and she said yes and asked if I wanted the chai instead with attitude. I looked on the app and it was confirmed that what I got was not what I ordered but they made no effort to listen to me even when I asked nicely. read more

How do they always manage to make you feel like an inconvenience? Service with a snark. The only employees that seem to be genuine are the new hires that are doing their best while being mostly lost. It's almost like the last step in their training is to teach new employees how to mask arrogance with visibly fake and half hearted politeness. This is my favorite store and favorite crew! But... I had an incident with "Bob" this morning. "Bob" is a early morning regular, from the homeless community. Bob approached me to within 10 ft or so, used a few expletives, said he didn't like me and called me a "girl". I left shortly after the encounter. My provocation was looking at him. This was extremely uncomfortable for crew and customers alike. Up to today, "Bob" has been fairly innocuous, besides talking loudly to himself and making a mess at his table; This was fairly aggressive. Can we do something for the crew ? I very rarely come here for the following reasons: They've never gotten my order right (pretty hard to mess up a very simple coffee with milk, btw.) There is zero parking here. As I leave, I almost always nearly get run over by some chick applying makeup while she's driving. Overall, it's in a pretty neighborhood. But pfft! It's ask a great place to stop by to get on the grid to check to see if you have an email update and other online quick update before getting off the grid (for a foreigner with no data plan). However, April and the other older lady working there this morning were the rudest baristas I've ever dealt with and I order from Starbucks 2-3 times a week. Whenever I'm on a walk to Laguna or Dana Point from Fashion Island I always stop here for a Iced Green Tea. I drink the first one and get a refill for the road. I enjoy relaxing on the patio for a bit. The restrooms are always clean. Service is fast and baristas are friendly. read more

This place is literally always out of something. It's so frustrating coming in the morning to find them already out of plain bagels or out of stock of all their valentines items. They're consistent with wait times and their attitudes aren't unfriendly- not friendly either, but not unfriendly. It's just an average coffee place. A surprisingly large starbucks for Corona Del Mar, where square footage is scarce. In such a great location - Pacific Coast Highway and Goldenrod. Vegetable juice shop to the South, bagel shop to the North, and tons of pet owners and their dogs and cyclists after a ride. A parking tip - forget the underground structure or parking on Goldenrod, and look for parking on Pacific Coast Highway, which is usually less scarce. read more

This is a nice Starbucks! Comfortable chairs inside, patio seating outside, what more could you want? It's a perfect place to relax with the Sunday paper and enjoy some people watching. Otherwise, it's your standard Starbucks fare, only with more difficult parking. But you'll be able to hang out with the beautiful people of Corona del Mar, and maybe swing by Fashion Island for some upscale shopping on your way back to the ghetto. read more

I found THE ONE! Finally, a Starbucks near us that makes our coffee amazing each time! Perfect color of the iced coffee, perfect taste, and friendly staff! I loveeeee the seating! Indoor and outdoor, we've sat outside the times we've gone and it's perfect. Soaking up the sun and drinking iced coffee, it can't get better. The inside has a nice fireplace and couches to sit at, tons of tables. Parking isn't terrible, we've seen worse. There's a garage behind/under it haha. It can fill up fast but there is also street parking, you just have to read the signs for what times/days you can park. So if you're staying near here, this is the one to go to!!! read more

This is a really great Starbucks. It's my local one and I come here all the time. I'm often torn between a healthy morning Nekter smoothie and a jolt of iced coffee with some oatmeal. They recently redid it and it looks amazing! This is definitely a Starbucks where a lot of people come and bring their dogs and just hang out, so they really put a huge focus on the outdoor area. It's a really nice patio area with comfy seats, lots of tables, and an easy view for people watching on PCH. The inside is really nice too - big tables and lots of chairs, great for studying. The service here is great. I mean Starbucks service is always pretty pretty top-notch though they're known for it. A great stop on the way too or from the beach. I love grabbing an iced coffee on lazy weekend mornings and walking my dog down to Inspiration Point and just hanging out there for a little bit. My only complaint is parking. Can be a huge pain in the rear especially on days where street cleaning blocks off half the street on Goldenrod. My secret parking spot when it's crowded and there's nothing on Goldenrod is to go farther south down PCH and turn right at the Port Theater. There's almost always parking on that side street and it's a short little walk up PCH. Not the best Starbucks for a quick in and out weekday morning coffee, but a great one for hanging out. read more

Hang out here and count matching poodles to owner Rolls Royce. 1. Go in and order a latte and dessert. 2. Find seat by fireplace facing street 3. Start sipping and eating. 4. If you see a Rolls*, you try looking carefully to see if there is a matching poodle** inside them. Note: Just how delicious the coffee is. Its a very cool hangout... even though its much better to sit on the park bench outside. *Other luxury cars to look for are Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Porsche ** It counts if the dog is a little sized one with a matching colored bow, collar, or booties to owner cars. I think in five minutes I counted 5 Porsche, 1 Ferrari and one Maybeck. None however had pets in them. read more
