I like this Starbucks more than the others around. Good customer service and convenient location. They're drive-thru gets busy but they're efficient. I live much to closer to the Starbucks in Torrey Hills shopping center but drive to this one because I like it so much more. read more

The baristas here are super friendly and kind. Though the only downfall of this location is that its right off the exit and drive thru. So people who go inside expect to be waiting for your drink for quite a while. They have so many people working but not enough space so I bet it gets wild back there. The coffee shop is clean and the people are really nice and the drink was yummy too. The only thing I wanted to say was .. if you plan on studying.. it's not going to happen. Not only do they make my pain-in-the-ass specific drink request PERFECTLY! And Every. Time. But the other day I wasn't sure if I'd be able to cover the cost of my drink and sure enough my card was declined.... But they covered my drink for the day! These people are amazing! Worst Starbucks ever. I asked for an almond milk latte with light ice, and the guy put a ton of ice in it. When I asked for less ice, he poured out half of the drink and added almond milk, and I watched him do it. When he handed it back to me I asked him why he threw it out and where the espresso went and he said "it's in there". So glad I payed 5$ for iced almond milk. Shitty customer service. I am a Starbucks advocate so this review does not reflect my entire perception of the brand. This is probably the worst Starbucks in all of San Diego. There is 100% always an insane wait for the drive through. I started online ordering but nobody ever acknowledges my existence when I try to pick up my mobile order and I leave annoyed and confused every time. My spinach feta wrap is always cold at this location and my coffee often tastes like burnt urine. I keep coming back so maybe I am exaggerating a little but please get it together! read more

I would give zero if I possibly could, every time I come in the service is awful! They NEVER get the drinks right. I always ask for light ice multiple times, and when I asked the lady at the window if she could dump some ice out (bc it was filled to the brim with ice) she rolled her eyes and spoke badly about me while the window was open! She then snobbish asked me if the amount she poured out was fine then handed it to me then continued to slough with her other coworkers about my demand. They hardly pay attention to the orders and I have been there 10+ times and almost every time the person on the microphone in the drive is messing around with a weird voice cracking jokes, and finally the same person who was makin the weird voices and jokes, rudely told my boyfriend and I " okay now you have a nice day children" in another weird sneering voice, As we both are adults we found this quite irritating and rude and unprofessional. So happy to finally have a starbucks store (and not a fake one in Vons) right up the street. This location also boosts the only drive thru in the area. Only downside is the very limited indoor seating area. They do have a couple tables outside but not the best location to study or meet for coffee. Awesome place however to grab coffee at the drive thru before hitting the freeway on the way to work. Great staff too! read more

Not the friendliest staff. No one greets you when you walk in and some don't say thank you. They also focus on the drive thru so don't go inside expecting faster service! The drive thru is just so convenient on my way to work sometimes otherwise I prefer other locations. read more

Service is good, place is clean. However, there is not very much seating inside. I found a seat and just did a mobile order from my phone so I didn't lose my spot. Lol. There is a reasonable amount of outdoor seating though. Unfortunately it was raining today so I had to fight for my seat. Ha! read more

I always order the cascara cold brew as there is very little to no dairy in the drink. I went to another Starbucks earlier this morning who was out of cold brew and I went to another as I appreciated this other store letting me know. I order a cascara cold brew from this Starbucks and it seems ok. I get to the window and they charge me for a cascara as the drink seemed a little off. I soon looked at the drink bottle as I was getting a stomachache from drinking and it was just an iced cappuccino with a foam top :( I have bad dairy issues and was given a drink I didn't order. its the first starbucks in del mar to have a drive thru. the inside space is very small and can only fit maybe like 15 people. the outside patio is very nice and spacious and there isnt too many chairs to distract from other people. the staff are always nice and friendly when i go in there. read more

This Starbucks is really close to where I work...honestly I will park and WALK into Vons and go to that Starbucks because at least they are nice.The girls at the registers are not friendly. I have been going there for weeks and only ONE guy remembers me, my name and my order. I ordered a latte - they messed up the order so I requested that they remake it. After 5 minutes I ask where my coffee is. The girl who originally made it points to another girl and says that she is making it. Well, after another 5 minutes I ask where my coffee is and NO ONE is making me a new coffee. Another lady who was waiting for 15 minutes for hers to be remade FINALLY got hers with a FREE coffee coupon. Mine finally comes out correctly..after 15 minutes, NO free coffee coupon and not even an apology. So, I pointed out to the manager that remakes should take precedence over people who were just waiting. It literally took me 30 minutes to get coffee when my office is 2 minutes away. Ridiculous.
