I literally can't believe I'm even writing a review about this because this whole situation was stupid, but we came here on our way home from my birthday weekend in MI and I came on my actual birthday (5/18) to redeem my drink. Simple enough. Like many people, I spend A LOT of money at Starbucks and one little free birthday drink is just a nice touch they've done for years. I've had this app for about 10 years at this point . The girl at the register was fine enough, but she told me I should get the Trenta since it was a free drink. So I did and then I tell her I want to use my freebie, she scans my card and says it didn't work and it took the money off my card. My app was not newly downloaded, my profile showed my birthday and then they just stared at me and my husband like they couldn't just refund me or give me the drink at that freaking point...AFTER she encouraged me to get the mega sized drink. All the Starbucks around me would have just refunded me and let me keep the drink or at very least give me "next drinks on us" card. When an item would sell out or a drink would take a really long time they give these out to people. We weren't going to put up a fight about it when it looks like actual kids work at this place, but such an awkward situation that made this my problem and no sorry or offer to help with a solution. read more

Cute Starbucks located in New Buffalo. My only complaint is they wouldn't take the 50% off coupon on Wednesdays that was advertised. The barista said it was because this location wasn't corporate owned or something like that. The drink we order was disappointing. It was filled with mostly foam. read more

If there was another Starbucks close by I would never go back here. Im glad they finally got their order ahead problems solved (last year it was hardly ever available) because this one gets crowded. I am addicted to several of Starbucks cold beverages and always order with "light ice" because otherwise you get 6 oz of drink in a 20 oz cup. I guess only a few of the baristas at the NB Starbucks bother to read the orders because I seldom get what I consider "light ice." This is today's empty drink 45 mins later on a hot day so some of my "light ice" has melted still leaving a lot of ice. I guess I have to order at the counter and watch them as they make it, reminding them that "light ice" means about 1/3 of what this was. read more

Ordered a Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino and it was absolutely DISGUSTING! Pure liquid, tastes like an ingredient was forgotten or wrong thing added. Left a HORRIBLE aftertaste in my mouth that I couldn't get out. Best described as tasting like watered down school cafeteria chocolate milk. Called store, recording answered. This is for the new Starbucks in New Buffalo, MI. It has been opened only about 2 weeks now. We have been there at least 5 or 6 times. Each time the drinks have NOT been good. The first time they asked my son if he wanted water or milk in his drink. It is supposed to have milk. They should know that. Ok that was the first day. Today they didn't make my husbands drink with milk. My Peppermint mocha tastes like bad hot chocolate. That is the only drink I order and has never been good. Yesterday we went there at 5:45 pm and they were closed. The website says 7 pm. I tried calling today to check their hours and the number was some recording and not Starbucks! The store is cute, people have been friendly. So glad that Starbucks is in a town close by but they have a lot of improving to do. They also opened a store in Stevensville, MI in recent months. I have had great tasting Peppermint Mochas every time. Same with Michigan City, IN. Like I said, glad they are there but they need some serious corporate help! read more
