My absolute favorite Starbucks! I'm a Starbucks addict who's been drinking it since they first be an expanding in SoCal a couple decades ago. The customer service here is the best. They never get my order wrong and mix the drinks better than other Starbucks. Any add-ins, or special requests are actually met with a smile which is not that common at Starbucks to be honest. I've been coming to this location for only about a year. So I don't know about it's customer service in the past, but right now it's really good. There once was a man who walked in shirtless and yelling, and the woman behind the counter had no hesitation in asking him to leave (I was legitimately scared) and he left right away. It was pretty late at night when this happened; it's usually a bustling, clean and safe plaza. The ambiance is nice and it's always clean in here. And there is tons of parking. They also stay open a little later than other Starbucks in the area. And they've never pressured me to leave and let me order right before they closed with a great attitude many times. I've often skipped the Starbucks near my work and waited an extra half hour to go to this one on my way home simply because of the excellent customer service and better tasting drinks here! read more

I bought a hot Tea ...everything is good ..i sit ..i sip ..and once I decided that I wanted a refill of hot water ...I go back and there's a new male employees around 4:57pm . Employee : Looks at me ..like to say what do you want? ME:" Hi can i have more hot water?" Starbucks:"Sure" proceeds to fill my cup with faucet hot water ! Which is not that hot and the warmth won't last ! Me: " can you get it from the red tab" That's where starbucks employees are supposed to get boiling hot water that lasts longer and which is how it's supposed to be! And if they are lazy they will give you faucet water . Btw he seemed annoyed ....ok then he gives me back the cup ..it did not take him long at all just less than a minute and there was no customers in line except for using up the wifi and drinking what they had order ..he probably only had to make two drinks...ok next thing he says Starbucks Employee: Voice and face with an attitude "Next time ask the cashier for hot water!" ...Me: shocked and couldn't think of what to say ..."Ok ...well..I didn't know that!" Then gives me attitude again and says" bye " ..What I should have said was "Well...next time! Have better communication with your co-worker and ask her to come over ! Hand her the cup and ask her "Can you please pour some hot water for this Tea? Thanks!" In a nice voice with no attitude. read more

01/19/2011: DOWNGRADED to two stars. I don't know why I keep wasting my money going here since they haven't improved in the last 7 years I've lived in Pasadena... I get consistent fabulous cappuccino at Pete's and (surprise!) at Whole Foods on Foothill. Sadly, there are not enough Pete's around. I don't understand why Starbuck's quality control has gone seriously downhill. Even after that little "close all stores for a few hours for retraining". I have discovered that the reason cappuccinos in LA county were pretty horrid was because the milk was reheated over and over. All that time, I thought that they had been using too much milk or the espresso wasn't brewed correctly and it was weak. Since moving here from Orange County (Newport Beach) in 2004, I have gotten ONE decent cappuccino from a Starbucks and this was from an in-Target store. Remarkable - and they don't accept tips! That's something that bugs me no end: you don't do any customer service to speak of, and still solicit for tips. That's not only outrageous, it's tacky and completely opposite Starbuck's original concept of Quality Service that was on a par with Nordstrom. Was. The JavaChip Frappucinos vary from store to store. Here they were *creamy* and not too icy (good thing) but the chips were tooooo blended, there was too much chocolate syrup and the "creaminess" was reminiscent of non-dairy. The original drink was a creamy (dairy) cold coffee goodness with the chips less pulverized. You got both tastes of coffee and chocolate chip. Those first ones on Balboa Island were FABULOUS. Some S's make them like 7-11 slushees, far too icy, practially no flavor. All of them in Pasadena blend them far too long. The hot drinks need to be made with fresh milk, NEVER REHEATED OR OVERHEATED as most of them in Pasadena are made. The parking situation stinks - it's a super busy shopping center. read more

This Starbucks is located conveniently in a shopping plaza with stores like Best Buy, Nordstrom Rack, and Ross. There's plenty of parking in the huge lot. The service here is decent, but really slow at times. I honestly come here for the convenience. The interior is a pretty different because of the layout. Really narrow... you'll see. The only reason I will give them one stars is because I cannot give them zero! I had the worst experience here and I considered never going to Starbucks again after dealing with the rudest employees I have ever met! Not only were we disrespected for wanting to move a table to the other side of the Starbucks Patio and for shade since there was another patron smoking in the shade of the patio, but we were lied to in terms of company policy! Everything that you've come to expect from Starbucks. Premium coffee, tea, and now a decent selection of food and non-caffeinated options. Since I'm not a huge lover of tea or coffee, my drink of choice on a cold day is the spiced apple cider. Be forewarned, if you don't go easy on the caramel and whip cream, the calorie count is outrageous. read more

Felt very rushed, and she made it MY fault that their mobile order machine wasn't working, therefore they didn't have my drink ready. Talked to Monica about making a remake the next day she was completely fine with it I came in today and got I and older woman's with dirty blonde hair with a hat on and blue eyes was helping a guy at that cashier I specifically asked for Carmel at the top of the ice not around the cup and the guy asked a couple times to not mess up my drink and I said at least 4 time while she was their helping him. She Made the drink with an excessive amount of Carmel around the cup, told her that not what I said then she stared to put even more Carmel the way I said to do it from the beginning and I was like that's way to much Carmel. she got mad threw the drink out hard in the sink and then I had to wait to get my drink remade 10-15 min when i shouldn't have to wait when she messed my drink up. She looked like a supervisor I could see she had no name tag on and a very disrespectful attitude the whole time that should not be tolerated. I really like this location of Starbucks. It's conveniently located in a shopping center in the corner and has a pretty big parking lot. The only thing I dislike about this location is how tiny their parking spots are! They definitely need to redo them and make them a little bigger. Besides that, the interior is pretty spacious and they have a big outside seating area as well. Their wifi always works and their tables by the door have outlets for multiple devices on the bottom. Their staff is always nice and my drinks always come out right. Great place to do homework or read a book and relax before shopping;). read more

Place has new staff in last 2 weeks and drinks are not consistent, service is ridiculously slow, and they do not check to see how many online orders are coming in. On several occassions they haven't even prepared my drink until they see i placed an order. read more

This Starbucks is right next to a Best Buy and a Ross Dress for Less. It has the best Wi-Fi in town.

Just typical Starbucks. Nothing special. Just about the customer service: Not friendly at all. Just some of them are, but some others seems have problems. Surely needs to be improved. Usually love this Starbucks as it's atmosphere is very productive but today it was surprisingly vacant. I ordered my usual black coffee and took a seat and began working. Shortly I noticed a weird man constantly walking back and forth who was apparently homeless. I ignored him and continue working until he sat next to me and began asking what I was doing and then began asking me for money and kept eyeing all of my possessions. I love this location but if the lack of involvement from the staff continues to then I will have no choice but to hunt down another location, this Starbucks is never this empty, that should be a red flag claiming "hey come do something" read more

Was at this Starbucks this week. Walked in 20 minutes before closing and still asked if it was okay to order, as the employees were cleaning up the place. They said they closed in 20 minutes, giving no indication of whether or not I should order. I then dealt with two of the RUDEST employees I have ever come across at a Starbucks, ever! Not one "how are you", "how can I help you", "have a great day", or a "thank you for coming". Not one smile or friendly effort at service. The woman taking my order looked so upset that I asked if she had had a long day, too which she replied that she was dealing with a migraine. She looked so pissed to be taking my order, I couldn't believe it. The other employee cleaning around the store was so unapproachable that I was afraid to ask for anything. Worst experience. I try to never go to this store because they are so consistently unfriendly and/or condescending. I don't get it. Maybe because I'm not there enough I keep running into the only rude employees there, but EVERY time...?? They make me feel like I'm wasting their time, EVERY time. I understand when a storefront has one or two rude employees or even that employees have bad days and take it out on the customers from time to time but this is CRAZY. I've been going to many Starbucks locations for many many years Yesterday I visited this ewww worst attitude from the employee she was the rudest Starbucks employee I have ever seen. Ordered 2 travelers over the phone she told me 15 to 20 min. I am a caffeine addict, and come to this Starbucks daily, sometimes twice a day. Out of the many Starbucks that I've frequented, this one has blown me away more than most. First of all, their drinks are always delicious. I have yet to have a bland tea or latte from them, and I can't say the same for other stores! Second of all, their lobby is always clean and restocked, even during more rushed times, and if you ever ask them for more sugar/creamer/etc. then they are more than happy to help. Finally, and most importantly, their customer service is out of this world! As a fellow employee within the service industry, I appreciate when I feel like people enjoy what they do. Every morning I come in to see smiling faces that care enough to call me by name and ask about my day, and if I'm ever conflicted on what to get (which is almost daily given my indecisiveness), they're quick to ask questions and recommend me a drink without any frustration. Not to mention they're incredibly fun to talk to when they have a moment to breathe in between all the drinks they're crafting. This Starbucks has won me over as a regular, and I highly recommend coming here if you're in need of a coffee fix and want to leave with a smile on your face! read more
