The brûlerie was was super close to our Airbnb, so it naturally made sense for us to stop here. The brûlerie sits it the bottom level of a row house, typical of businesses along Rue St-Denis. It's quite spacious, with a decent amount of seating and a large production counter. The counter itself is separated into two sections with one place to order beverage and food, and the other to order coffee beans in bulk. The coffee selection here is massive and separated by different regions/countries. I decided to get a cappuccino and a croissant - both were good. I also decided to sit in lieu of taking to go and it was quite comfortable there to just relax and sip. The croissant was also good, though I had a piece of my dad's scone and it wasn't good - too dry, even for a scone. Service was good, and overall I had a pleasant experience at Brûlerie St-Denis - worth a stop in if you're in the area.

I so far have enjoyed the crème brûlée and Oreo and can't wait to the others when I get home. We also loved the mango shaved ice and found the small sizes to be perfect for single servings, especially for people who doesn't usually finish our sweets. The mango pieces were soft and fresh, made to taste sweeter with a drizzle of condensed milk. Small pieces of mochi contributed to elevating the texture even more. Overall, we had a wonderful time each visit and could see ourselves being able to relax and spend hours there. Staff were kind and tried their best to work as fast as they could. Lots of photos of their dogs are posted at the front and served as the reason for their name. Would love to come again the next time I'm here!

But I did go on a Sunday night so it was emptier than usual. There is a table in the center that has plugs for your charger cables but it's not the best seat. I wish they had more plugs in the corners of the store to be unbothered. It achieves the purpose of being a good Internet cafe to study or get some work done which is what I needed at the time. The menu is the same as any other second cup so if you like their offerings, you will still like them here.

I wanted to use the toilette but the door was looked. I assumed that someone was in there and after I waited at the table a while I saw a lady grab a key that was attached to a large spoon and open the door. So if you need to pee the key is hanging on a hook behind that short wall by the toilette.

Nestled on the corner of Union and President Kennedy, this branch is a hidden gem located off just off the beaten path. The incredibly high ceilings opens the place up inviting patrons to spread out and relax. Relaxing can be accomplished via several sofas and lounge chairs arranged near the windows. Bench seating lines the opposite wall and mixed throughout are a number of small tables that are perfect for getting a little work done. Towards the front of the cafe there's even one large table that can seat 8-10 people. The staff are really friendly and on more than one occasion they've brought around a tray of free samples. It's clear that the person in charge really cares about the customers and success of the business. The only gripe I have is that they really crank up their air conditioning. I always leave there feeling like I've got a mild case of hypothermia setting in, you have been warned. This is hands down one of the best Starbucks to spend the afternoon being productive or not.
