You want stop here! Láskavá is truly lovely…read more Paris has nothing on this café. Great little locals cafe near Vinohrady. Sat here for quite a while at this sidewalk cafe just enjoying the warm Fall day but enjoying even more the coffee and wonderful food. You order inside and your order is brought out (cafe service is still very wait staff based). Servers are courteous and efficient. All speak English but certainly helps to speak Czech. Very much worth a stop if you are near for a light breakfast or light lunch with a wonderful street side atmosphere.

However- this place can take a few tips from the best cafes in Europe. First of all don't advertise you're a coffee/bookshop if you aren't!!! This was one of the most disappointing of all things here. To come in and find a small bookshelf of Czech books that seem to be published by fra is interesting- but not enough to call yourself a bookshop. Secondly they allow smoking inside, is this not 2014? Get some ventilation or call it quits for smokers inside. Thirdly they only offer bleached white sugar. Again is this 1990 when raw sugar is not the king of cafes? I expected more cafe fra. You're lucky you have a nice place and staff to pick up your slack.

Very cozy, art on the walls, hardwood floors and wooden furniture. But this place has something different then other cafes. Amazing coffee, friendly and welcoming staff, and an atmosphere that is just enough to get cozy but not enough to be overwhelmingly busy. I love quiet cafes where I can do some writing or reading and not be bothered by the noise or amount of people there. For this purpose this cafe is awesome. Also I like meeting a friend here for coffee and to chat. It is great for that too. I also discovered their hummus is AMAZING, they have quite a few homemade goodies and food items, and different ones to try every time I have gone. This was the only cafe that after I went the first time, I was immediately hooked and back the next day for more. Would recommend Pracovna to locals who haven't already gone here, or to tourists wanting a more real Prague cafe experience on their vacation.
