Pretty nice breakfast/brunch spot offering a wide array of American classics. I ordered The All…read moreAmerican (16.75 GBP), which was a typical combo of pancakes, bacon, homestyle potatoes, a sausage, and two fried eggs. It was rather plain/ordinary but certainly not bad. I have to say, the pancakes were a bit on the dry side though. Also, the eggs were sunny side up but didn't actually seem fried at all, as they were super soft without any crispiness. In addition, they didn't even add the slightest amount of seasoning on there - at least a few pepper flakes would have been nice (although there was pepper on the table, but still). The homestyle fries were well-cooked with a good crispiness though. The restaurant has a lower level with some seating as well as a larger upper level. It has a sort of old-timey kind of vibe, with wood panels along the walls and ceiling and a little performance stage in the back. It is conveniently located right next to the Canary Wharf tube station. My waitress was average friendliness and was only moderately attentive, as she never checked up on me during my meal. She also waited until I actually got my food to bring me my water. Overall, The Breakfast Club is a solid option for breakfast/brunch in Canary Wharf with pretty much any of the classics that you could want.

I just kept finding the wrong one, but TBC made it worth the wait. For those seeking "a little more conversation", stop at the bar for the friendly experience you'd expect. Today I headed upstairs to the VIP Section. Unlike my wife who never saw a pancake she wanted to go home with, I like a menu with plenty of pancake choices. And bonus points if not too many are "exotic" such as cake disguised as compote-smothered confectioners-sugar-laced trendy-named items. Just get me some sort of flapjack with or without fruit. Bonus points if you have short and tall (long?) stacks. And double-bonus if you print "flapjack" on the menu. Enough about the pancakes (my wife is saying). She doesn't even like breakfast so don't listen to her (she'd skip if I weren't always dragging her out somewhere for it). Her loss. But just one more pancake point: I got the blueberry short stack. It wasn't epic but it was a solid +6-7. That works, given my earlier frou-frou comments. I couldn't tell and maybe the maple syrup was imported from Canada (eh), but we are spoilt with our Vermont supply. So no points gained/lost there. I didn't get any baked beans (yes because this was breakfast), but my bacon was tasty as were my two Americanos (aka coffees). If I had for some reason wanted pre-noon beans...I'm sure they would have been lovely, along with all the other varied menu choices I didn't have room to sample. Service was fast and efficient, and they endured my lingering into late-morning. By the time I left it had stopped raining. Will wonders never cease.

Great service- moderately priced - great views!…read more On our last evening in London, we wanted to try a steakhouse near our hotel. Goodman's was the highest rated in our area for steakhouses so we gave it a try. The prices aren't cheap but are comparable to steakhouses back in the states. We ordered a t-bone and a bone in ribeye- both are cuts we typically order in the US paired with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach- also side dishes we would typically order with our steaks. The manager stopped by our table to apologize for the delay in our order (honestly we didn't even notice). Shortly after her apology our food arrived and exactly how we ordered - medium rare. Nothing is worse than a steak that is over prepared to your liking. They served the steaks with 3 sauces- bernaise, pepper sauce, and bbq flavored sauce. The sauces were ok in flavor but I feel steak is best eaten with butter & salt and as minimal sauce as possible to enjoy the steak. A good steak doesn't require any sauce in my opinion. Although the steak was prepared to our liking - always a plus when dining out - what stood out the most was the service. Isabella (Zabella) was a fabulous server. She was accommodating and offered several choices. A few of the steaks we attempted to order were sold out and she offered alternatives which is always better than "sorry we're out". She was a lovely Italian who gave us friendly service in addition to travel advice to her home country. On top of the great service, the manager once again stopped by and offered us dessert and a drink as an apology for the delay in our food service. We definitely didn't expect this but happy to oblige when she offered. Price is always an important factor when choosing a restaurant, but service almost always supersedes that (within reason of course). When you have great food AND great service that's a 5 Star in my opinion! So when you're in the Canary Warf area of London, definitely check out Goodman with the nice views of the water and great service.

It can taste very different from place to place but I ate at two Enish locations in London and was not disappointed. If I lived there I would visit them for this soup daily. It was so good. The food was absolutely amazing 10/10 but the only thing that threw me off a bit and made me a little uncomfortable was the customer service. Maybe it's just because I'm an American and the culture there is different because I have noticed it with a lot of restaurants in the UK, but the servers/workers are not too friendly whether the store is busy or not and everyone we tried speaking to, to get an understanding of how to order at the restaurant (since it was our first time here) kind of gave us attitude or acted like it was so annoying to ask simple questions?? Our food ended up taking more time to get ready because we didn't understand the whole call, bill, and cancel method of ordering which we tried to ask but didn't get an answer straight away. The person who finally addressed it was kinda rude about it.. Anyways, the decor inside the restaurant was really nice and it truly does give an upscale sort of vibe which is cool, but I feel like in the near future I'd prefer to just order for carry out rather than sitting inside the specific location we went to just because the food is so good but the customer service just was not it. However I've heard that different locations sometimes have better customer service so.. ‍

They even blast country music over the speakers in this decked out wooden interior. I ordered a brisket sandwich that also had sausage. I wasn't going to expect much from a BBQ restaurant in London, but they impressed me. The brisket was juicy and full of a rich smoky flavor. How did they do this way out here?? The sausage was also juicy and had a delightful flavor. If I didn't know any better, this tasted just as good as a BBQ brisket sandwich back in the US. The sandwich came with a pickle spear and some coleslaw. There was a generous amount of brisket on the sandwich, where some US restaurants only give you two slices of brisket and call it good. I was stuffed with just this sandwich, and didn't need any sides.

I'd say this is a fun place to come with a group of friends and take advantage of their specials.

My boyfriend found this burger restaurant on another review site which said 'the best burger shop…read morein London' or something like that and we decided to go to Lewisham just for the burger! I have to admit that it's the best burger I've ever had in London!! I ordered Rox melted burger because I was tempted by grilled onions and melted cheese! Awww, so tasty! I was very satisfied with all of the fresh ingredients and the fantastic combination of onions, cheese, angus beef, bacon and a brioche bun! Also I enjoyed a bite of the Rox Blue Burger that my boyfriend ordered! Can you believe that you can enjoy both mozzarella cheese and blue cheese at once? Although the Rox chips were also delicious, we just couldn't stop eating the burgers. The burger was quite dense so I couldn't finish it all so I took it back home. Of course eating it at the restaurant is better, but it was still good at home! When we were at the restaurant, some delivery staff brought some fresh fruits and veggies so I felt they use good quality fresh ingredients! The restaurant was small but cosy and I liked the stylish interior! It's a family-friendly restaurant but great for anyone! Oh, I shouldn't forget to mention that the glass for the tap water was an American style jar with lime! The overall price was also fantastic, I highly recommend a visit to this quaint American burger bar!

The bun was well toasted, the cheese didn't over power the flavor of the burger patty, and the chorizo was a nice touch. They use a different type of chorizo than in the states so it was a nice change to the norm. Along side it I ordered the Rox fries, but honesty I wasn't impressed. Basically it was fries sprinkled lightly with some herbs and some cheese, nothing special. One complaint is that they messed up the other half of my order. Ordering for a friend who is deathly allergic to cheese, I asked for no cheese. The guy taking my order, before putting it in read off to me my order and specifically said the cheese is omitted, it evens says on the receipt. On this particular night I picked up the burgers for take away so when I brought it back to the house we noticed there was cheese! However they refunded it in the end, just make sure if you're making modifications to check a couple of times.
