I volunteered with this company and it was a great experience. I worked at the Coffee & Tea festival at the Valley Forge expo Center. It was definitely a positive experience and the people who organized it seemed quite experienced. I met some very nice people along the way and I would definitely help again. I found this volunteer opportunity on line. You have your choice of shifts, most are around 4 hours I believe. This company organizes the Eat This, Drink That Festival (which was cxl this year for some reason) & the Beer & Cider Festival. I've been to a few Starfish junction events, both virtual and in-person, and they NEVER disappoint. I will continue to enjoy their informative and very fun. My husband and I have done the LI craft beer fest since it's inception as the Long Island Beer, Wine, Cider and BBQ at Martha Clara Vineyard. This year as opposed to previously being held early August at Heckscher Park it was held today at Belmont Race track. To a noob, this was a respectable replacement but for those of us that know better this paled in comparison. There was no VIP hour offering special pours and limited vendors. For the same price as general admission, typically a bbq sandwich of choice and a side were provided as opposed to only "for purchase" options which were still limited. Yes, it was an added layer being able to watch and bet on horses, but many of the patrons were not there for that. Timing was stringently strict and I found it interesting that in the midst of a pandemic an established event would choose to hold their gathering inside as opposed to outside. From a long standing patron, I'm disappointed in the price and what what ultimately offered as opposed to what we've experienced in the past . read more

I would give them a better rating but the people working the events have real attitude problems. Smithhaven mall drive in movie. They didn't plan the parking well. Then they are yelling at reach other and the patrons. I heard one guy say "I don't care if anyone had a question you ignore them", the other guy responded "that's not how I roll". The first guy then says something assuming the lines of idiots and I'm sick of this shut. Very unprofessional when half the people are in the lot with their trunks open hearing everything. read more
