A reasonable hotel. Nice location relative to campus. Not sure why it has a 4 star rating, I guess it meets the minimum requirements to get the 4 star rating (not on yelp, but actual hotel star ratings).
Overall I found this place to be quite pleasant, and very clean. The three things that bothered me were:
1. No iron and ironing board in the room.
2. Weird pipe noises at night.
3. In-room thermostat which is confusing.
To be fair I should provide more information about points 1 and 3. They delivered ironing equipment to my room when I asked. And, this is not the first time I have encountered such a thermostat in Europe, its the kind where these is a dial in the the two extremes are colder and hotter (sometimes indicated with - and + respectively). Whats confusing about this is that there isnt really any forced air to speak of, so you cant immediately tell if turning the thermostat has an effect. This is frustrating for someone like me who is accustomed to instant gratification and likes to sleep in the cold. Luckily it was freezing outside and I just had to crack the window a bit.
About the weird pipe clanging noises, Im not sure what was going on, I was there for nearly a week and a couple of night the noises kept waking me up.
In general the hotel is well placed if you have some business on campus, and the price is actually quite reasonable compared to location in town. Using the metro you can get anywhere so location is not really an issue.
I would stay here again. read more
