Dealt with agent named Joann. She only dealt with us through text messages. We placed offer on house. She came back to us with what we thought was a counter offer from sellers. Instead, there was a second party making offer also. AT NO TIME DID OUR AGENT SAY THERE WAS A SECOND OFFER - WE ASSUMED WE WERE NEGOTIATING WITH THE SELLER. The price she gave us was actually the other party's offer. I stress at no time did she say it was second party's offer!! We countered but since it was slightly under the asking price (as we thought it was haggling), the owner went of course with better offer. We could have beaten the offer with cash had we known!! She could have easily communicated this to us but instead kept us asking for a week and a half "Did they accept it? " and she kept saying" I don't know" When she finally told us a week and a half later, it was too late. read more
