A good skate shop with knowledgeable staff, even if they need to find a translator!…read more They specialise in a brand called Flying Eagle - a new one to me but some googling turned up some good reviews. As such, while they sell some parts and skates for other brands, the majority comes from this one supplier - skates, wheels, even bearings. They have a good supply of everything you need and are able to advise on what you should be getting as to what you like the look of. A little ways from the centre of Barcelona, it's only about a 15 minute walk from the Gothic Quarter and the Marina is right opposite on the other side of the main road. It's also where the Friday Night skate starts (although the surface to skate there isn't all that great for most of the way!)

So this skate shop is decent if you're looking for a new pair of skates or basically brand new…read moreequipment - they have lots on offer and at what seems like decent prices. The staff are helpful and they've got a ticket based queuing system - quite useful when there are lots of people around the store and it keeps it fair. However, what brings it down for me is their stock of spare parts which is what I was after when I stopped there. I'm not willing to drop €200+ on a new pair every season (or even half year) and neither is anyone else really. So I grab my ticket and look at their wall of wheels - and there were plenty. However when I finally got to talk to the lady, I asked what they had. And there weren't that many after all. Plenty of sets of light up wheels - not what I was looking for, in fact for my wheel size (a standard 90mm, skates are made with them as standard) they couldn't actually offer me a full set at all, they had 4 of one kind and 2 of another. If I waited til Monday, I could possibly get another 2 to make it 6 of 1, and 2 of the other. I declined and was told that they weren't made anymore (either this is a language thing or she's totally wrong, they're made by several of the big manufacturers). As such I left unhappy and bought them at a different place. If you're looking for a brand new set, this could be good for you. If you're looking for parts - maybe try Roex, they won't have many options, but they will have stock.
