I approached the building during active rain and attempted to open the door, as one would normally do at any public building. The male security guard stationed at the main entrance, who was shorter in height, stocky in build, with black hair, dark eyes, and dark skin, abruptly stepped outside, physically blocked the door, and addressed me in a hostile, authoritarian manner. There was no visible signage or clear instruction indicating that visitors were required to wait for the guard to open the door, and I had no way of knowing this beforehand. Rather than showing basic courtesy or calmly explaining the procedure--especially given the weather--the guard chose to be confrontational and dismissive. The interaction felt like an unnecessary power trip and was completely inappropriate for a public-facing federal office. I am giving one star due to the lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic human consideration shown by the security staff. This experience was avoidable and left a very negative impression.

He was guarding the door so my husband and I asked for assistance and before I could finish explaining to him why we were there he cut us off saying "get to the point." Maybe I could empathize if I was taking up time or holding up a line but there was no one behind us and I barely talked for 10 seconds at this point. I was appalled because we are not rude people and spoke to him with respect. I finished telling him anyway that I had to drive over there because he sent my mom away and her English is not good, he said they can provide translation for her over the phone and kept repeating that when I asked if they did not have one in person or anyone to assist her with calling if I can't be there next time with her. I've never met a person who has made me that uncomfortable especially since he works with social security office to help people who are in need. Please hire more patient and kind people. I don't want to be worried about my mom coming here by herself again.

It all started with my car having an engine light on and not idling properly at stoplights. After paying $548.00 to Pepboys, my car wouldn't even start having been billed for FULL Diagnostics and TWO Tune UPS! They had completely misdiagnosed the problem and even if battery was changed the car was not functioning at its full capacity. It turned out the Alternator needed replacement. Well, I demanded they replaced but I refused to pay for their mistake. I filed a formal complaint with the Manager then a downloaded a complaint form from Bureau of Auto Repair. I was assigned a case no. and a Representative who, thankfully, was a very competent Professional who followed through each time I followed up. It took approximately less than a month but I was able to get refunded the cost of the alternator replacement which I had done with another repair shop. Thank you for your help, Representative, Mr. Hammer....from Bureau of Auto Repair of Sacramento located at 10220 Systems Parkway in Sacramento, CA 95826.(formerly located in Natomas-in Sacramento, 95834).

TLDR: You are required to set up appointments for all visits now…read more After attempting to apply online (which didn't work) I happened to be in the area for the DMV so I figured I'd walk over as it's not stated anywhere online that you must have an appointment. When you get there the loud speaker announcement states they have appointments available within 5 days. I almost laughed because it's wildly inaccurate. I'd booked an appointment a few days before for the first one available - almost 3 weeks out. Even if you go by business days, it's not close to being accurate. Currently they'll let you sign in, get a number, wait for 30 minutes, then call your number, and at your window you'll be told to make an appointment and they'll refuse to help you further. It's absolutely bonkers and I've never seen anything like it. After I was told I could wait an additional 3-4 hours for the possibility of speaking with someone, I asked if like the DMV they could text me when someone can speak with me. No. No, they don't do that either. I left. I will say I ended up googling and found a great thread that talked about the different processes people have used to get into their non-working SSA accounts. I tried a few of them and was finally able to log in via IDme on an incognito window so I could download a statement of my account, which solved about half of what I needed. Overall, it was a pretty awful and extremely inefficient experience all around. Definitely would not recommend.
