Dear Macy's Corporate Customer Service, I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding an experience I had at your Staten Island stores. On  December 10, 2025 I attempted to re open my Macy's credit card and also place an order for a mattress. Unfortunately, I was told by the cashier, Miriam, that this could not be done in-store. The manager on duty, Mehtap, also stated that she did not know how to complete these transactions.   I asked them both for corporate number they also denied me that . I proceeded to ask them how long they've been working for the company and was informed they worked for Macy's more then 5 years which made the situation even more surprising. These are standard services that I fully expected seasoned employees to be familiar with. After leaving the store, I contacted Macy's customer service by phone and was informed that these transactions should indeed have been possible in-store, and they did not understand why the staff could not assist me. This experience left me feeling frustrated and concerned about the professionalism, training, and competence displayed during my visit. I value Macy's as a trusted retailer, which is why this situation was especially disappointing. I kindly request that this matter be reviewed and addressed to ensure better customer service and proper training for store employees. Only mall in Staten Island. They try hard to be relevant by changing up the stores but it's dead on the weekdays and bustling on the weekends. Soooo many kids flood this mall. Especially the food court. It can be so annoying. Went to the restrooms by the food court and we needed to use the family restroom. There were about 5 young teenage girls waiting for the family restroom and they all went in together. Probably to do drugs. If I had not been pressed for time, I should have gone to mall security to report them. But overall this mall is an oversized daycare for teenagers. I like a certain amount of stores at this location Food court is getting better as well. More variety to cheese from. Available stores here are Primark , Macys , hot topic ,Box lunch to name a few. A new store that was added Uniqlo. . Mall opens at 11am daily but certain store such a Primark has a separate entrance and opens at 10am. Nice choices to shop as well. read more

Quite busy for a Saturday evening. Huge food court and surprisingly decent restrooms. I went in to the mall for Zara, H&M and primemark but walking through this mall had a lot of really good choices and selection of stores. Customer service was ok in the stores I went into. I would definitely come back here shopping. read more

I really don't understand why the mall closes at 8pm, I have to run around with my kid to get to certain stores after work before they close and on top of that food court closes at 730p. There's only a few stores that I frequent when I come here. I had completed my shopping and was walking towards the exit when I spotted Pepper palace. If you love hot sauce as much as I do this is the place for you! They have a variety hot sauces from hot, hotter, hottest and they come in different flavors, what's really cool is that you able to sample as many different flavors as you like. My favorite is the curry hot sauce. It has just the right amount of curry, and the right amount of hotness. The store has tortilla chips, and a variety of salsa sauces. My favorite flavor is the mango haberno. The prices are reasonable and the employees are pretty cool. read more

Everything. Escalators are always Broken every week not good for anyone, if it's not one it's all. Elevator is small and dirty really dirty they need an extra elevator instead of escalators because escalators are always broken, the mall is infested with bugs and rodents ( water bugs and mice also big rats ), fire alarm is always tested at least 3 times a week, people think it actually doesn't work also garbage is all around the mall as your shopping around. Security Guards never do anything or help anyone kids ride their bikes and skateboards around or running in and out of stores. This mall is not the same as it was before the Pandemic just got worse in all ways. Store would do better and be better in a mall plaza. Lots of things need to change for the better for customers and employees. Values for the mall is out the door all about money but no care. read more

First time visiting here. Parking was good, not too many cars. There are decent amount of stores with Macys as their main anker store. Food court has very good choices and offers large open area. It was Saturday afternoon but the mall wasn't crowded. Good for us but bad for business. I would visit again. read more

This mall offers everything an average family needs, including Dave & Buster's, an AMC movie theater with IMAX, Krispy Kreme, Zara, H&M, Apple, Macy's, and more. There is plenty of parking available, even during the holidays, with electric car chargers. The food options are diverse, ranging from Chick-fil-A to Shake Shack, and there's a lively bar called Tommy's Tavern. I would never leave Staten Island to go shopping because this mall has it all, and there are more shops in the surrounding area outside the mall as well. I feel fortunate to live in Staten Island with my family. I love it here. The people are much friendlier than in Brooklyn, and as a minority, I feel more welcomed here than anywhere else in the city. The residents are hardworking, home-owning individuals with children, and there are strong family values that I am glad my kids are exposed to. It would be very difficult to leave here, but the current state and city governments are not making it easy. Staten Island is underrated, and I am glad it is. read more

I really like this mall. Grew up here and have been going for years. Yes, the atmosphere has changed quite a bit, especially post COVID, but that is to be expected. A plus is that a bunch of new stores have opened up, a lot of them selling jewelry, trinkets and the like. I definitely enjoy those stores! Over the years, the Staten Island mall has been upgrading itself into a more spacious and visually appealing mall. There are a variety of stores and restaurants. It's more up to date compared to how it was in the past. I would say though that since it is near a few high schools, there are quite a few rowdy teenagers during after school times. So try to avoid the after school hours if you want a more peaceful environment. Overall, this is my goto mall if I ever need some last minute clothing or just want to have a shopping day. read more

I really liked this mall! My sister and I decided to come here from Jersey since it was so close and since we never been here before. Normally, you would think it's crazy to go to a mall a few days before Christmas especially if you don't have too but it wasn't overwhelming! We got here around 2:30pm on a Sunday afternoon (today). I parked in front of JC Penny's and only had to go around once to find parking. Once we got inside, the mall itself was beautiful. The floors were very clean, the mall itself was spacious and I was able to find all of the stores that I normally shop in. We walked pass stores such as "Apple", "Zara" (my fave), "Primark" (my new fave), "Macy's" and a bunch of other popular stores. Although there weren't any luxury stores in this mall- I rated it a 5 because of the aesthetics and various retail chains to choose from when shopping. Additionally, I've never really seen a food court as expansive as this- my sister and I were very impressed. Overall, I was satisfied with my visit and will be coming back! read more

I don't know why everyone hates this mall. I actually enjoy it. It's a vast mall. It has everything you need. Also it has two of the most interesting stores in the city, Lidl and Primark. I like the location in the middle of Staten Island, and I also like the fact that I always find parking even around the holidays. Staten Island Mall has gotten a total makeover since the last time I was here a decade ago and I would say it has grown into a destination for even non-Staten Island natives. It's a completely different place. Their food court is beautifully designed with ample seating and food options that you'd come out of your way for, like Chick-fil-A and Melt Shop, among other notable stands, like poke, Taco Bell, and Popeyes. I was also surprised to see Kungfu Tea and rolled ice cream (Rolling Cow) in the shopping area. Outside of the food court, there's also Shake Shack and Chipotle, too! The mall now boasts many stores that make coming here to shop worth it, including Primark, Zara, Ulta Beauty, Sephora, and the Container Store. The mall also has AMC and Dave & Busters, making it a one stop shop for all of your entertainment and shopping needs. I think the directories can be upgraded to digital, making it easier for patrons to locate themselves in the mall and the stores they're looking for. read more

I really enjoy coming to this mall when I am in town visiting especially during the holidays as they decorate the mall so beautifully. Plenty of good store anchors like Macys for example and a lot of good shops. I always find everything I need in one trip here. Food court has plenty of good choices but I wish they had a pizza place that sold pizza by the slice. The pizza place I saw only makes whole wood fired pizza on demand. I love this mall. It has so many department stores such as Macy's, JC penny, and more! My favorite store is Primark! This is the first Primark location in New York. The clothing is super trendy and cheap. They also have movie theatre, shack shake, and Dave and busters! This mall is like a all in one spot, they basically have everything. Went out to this mall from the Bronx. Not a bad ride on a Sunday early. The mall was pretty big. Not sure we got to see it all. There were cut outs, and may have missed on area. Has a large variety of stores, yes stores I have in Malls in my area. But I specifically went there for a store called Adore Me. The only one around. Was quite pleased with the store. The food court was good. Free parking lol! The only thing that the mall was lacking in, was restrooms, and directories of the stores! We would venture out again. read more

Went to Art Gallery in the lower level of the mall . I have purchased multiple canvases from this kiosk . As I was there I lost my wallet and didn't realize til I got home . I got in touch with mall security. She went above and beyond to help me locate my wallet . Upon doing so she went to the kiosk and looked through all the bins for me . The OWNER OF ART GALLERY REFUSED TO HELP AND SAID HE WAS INSULTED . As I was on the phone with her I heard the owner become nasty and rude . All she said was one of your customers lost their wallet . She asked upon my request for his number to do a follow up in case he found it . He refused and said it wasn't his responsibility or problem ! SHAME ON YOU ! You will NEVER GET MY BUSINESS AGAIN ! I cannot believe I'm giving 5 stars to the Staten Island Mall. Seriously, 15 years ago this place was mediocre at best. Now it has received big improvements. The movies, Shake Shack!!! I was at the Staten Island Mall last evening with my mom and 2 kids. My mother suffered a medical emergency in the food court and I needed to call for an ambulance. I didn't see a Security Officer in the food court so I sent my son to look for one in the mall. My son found one and told him that his Grandma had fainted and the guards reply was "and?" My son then said that we needed an ambulance and the guard told him that there was a guard over by Popeye's in the food court. Luckily while we were waiting for an ambulance to arrive a good samaritan located the guard in the food court but by that time EMS was already here to assist my mom. HOW DARE THAT GUARD RESPOND THAT WAY!!!!! We teach our children to go to them in case of an emergency and that's how they respond?????? Stay far away from the stand called "Perfume Palace" by forever 21!! Those ladies are nothing but liars and scammers!! They'll sweet talk you into buying their products, lie about scents, and lie about their return policies. There are better stores in the mall to buy reliable perfumes. This mall has gotten so much better with the new stores and renovations. There are also a few restaurants located on site, but some are very hit or miss. I wouldn't recommend the Chinese place - it's a bit overpriced and the service wasn't great. Overall, this mall has improved a LOT over the past couple of years. There is even an AMC theater opening there in the next few weeks. Can't wait to give it a try! read more

The young blonde woman working at the Hollister in this mall makes me want to to come back every day. I wish I got her name so I could call someone and tell them how amazing she was. She wasn't just nice to me but everyone. Helping everyone get coupons and the best bang for their buck. You can tell she likes her job or at least enjoys helping customers. As a born and raised Staten Islanders I have never been a fan of the Staten Island Mall. I live near the ferry and I'd much rather take the boat ride and train to the city or Brooklyn and even the Bronx to do my year round shopping. I only really go to the mall as a last minute choice or if I'm with someone else that likes to shop at the mall. I've even worked at the mall during the holiday season one time when I was younger and it was hell getting home because the buses would stop running after a certain time. Basically I've never really been a big fan of the Staten Island Mall. I felt they didn't have a good selection of stores to accommodate ALL CULTURES. Not enough stores that were up to date with the latest or new and different styles for every shopper. It was very basic!! They only had the typical model clothing. Everyone is not built like a model just coming off the runway. Even though I'm a slim woman I still wasn't happy with the styles. Going over the water just seemed to be more accommodating. I felt the mall was racist towards other cultures. Well I'm glad to say the mall has been making some changes to improve its self and the display of stores. I've noticed a few stores that are catering directly to different cultures, different life styles from different parts of the country and I'm really happy to see that! I definitely plan to go back to buy from these stores to support them! I hope the mall brings more stores like this in so everyone can feel comfortable shopping there. The food court has a wonderful upgrade! Dave & Busters is great for the family. Good selection of stores to eat at. Nice big eating area. The store outside the mall (Shake Shack, Chipotle, A new Restaurant don't remember the name) are a big plus and great add-ons to upgrade the mall. The AMC Dine-In Theaters excellent choice! I give it 3 stars because in my opinion, it didn't lack anything I need. I go for women's clothing and accessories, and there is plenty of that. As far as the crowd goes, well...look at the reviews. The people who complain about this location are the very people who ruin the mall. I mean, I just browsed the reviews and saw insults being slung around about Italians,Hispanics, and even gay people. What a disgrace. Diversity is not a selling point of Staten Island apparently. Anyway...back to the mall. The only cons were: bathrooms were located at the far end of the mall instead of in the food court. Also, replace JCpenny with a Nordstrom or Bloomingdales...it would be good for business. read more
