This location is my go-to grocery store and only a couple miles away from my house. One of my favorite things about coming here is that they are very rarely ever out of stock on the items I buy. The produce is usually always fresh, the butcher employees are always a pleasure to order from. The cashier's are always smiling and friendly. I also have to say the GM leads by a great example, Tito. He is always smiling and making eye contact and says a quick hello to customers and his team. Within the last few weeks, the following has happened: Purchased a boxed of individual pretzels only to get home and look at the expiration date. They were expired. Purchased a container of mixed green lettuce only to get home and notice it had been opened and had a small amount of brown salad dressing on it. Stater Bros please do better! read more

Just an update to my review back in 2016. I love my staters. First off it's walking distance from my house and they always have what I need. Next lets give a shout out to our store manager Tito. Friendly, always available and willing to help with a smile. Our store is clean and whatever food type you're looking for is usually available. I love all our checkers, Leticia, Carrie, and there are some more I just can't remember names at this time. All of them are awesome. Oh yeah cant leave out the meat guys or the deli folks. Everyone always has a smile and are pleasant. If you ask me out Staters is top notch, know I just gotta get Tito to get me meatloaf in the meat department. read more

Let me start by saying I've been shopping here since they opened years ago this store has went down hill drastically the manager is very nice but most of the employees are not today I was in there to pick up a few things when I was getting water I noticed one of the jugs was 25% gone there was a young man stocking in that isle I grabbed the jug and handed it to him and let him know it was a defective product he just looked and no reply then I proceeded to shop stopped by the meat counter to pick up a steak butcher comes to counter and just stares at me no hello can I help you what's wrong with these young people I've notice they have changed a lot of the employees in the last few years to younger people now that I can say is management you've made a bad choice in these people you hired I'm thinking at this point I will take my business elsewhere you guys have cut out box people and we're bagging our own groceries and prices are through the roof and the people you hired have no personality you should really listen to what I'm telling you before you loose more customers these people your hiring really suck at there jobs PS most of your checkers are very prejudice and not happy with there jobs I seen your review not very good I see I don't need a BS apology just do better in the future read more

I have been a customer for over 20 years at Stater Brothers and today I purchased rotten meat. Flap Meat 7.99 per pound. We cooked it and it made the entire house stink like something died! Never has this happened before. I went to return the meat and the manager was very whatever and only wanted to know if i had the credit card I used to purchase the meat, like I was trying to return something I didn't buy! I brought all the meat back cooked and uncooked. It was disappointing that she only said sorry halfway as I was walking away. I then went to buy some chicken for dinner and went back to her line to checkout and she acted like she didn't remember me and still charged me for a bag even though I purchased 2 and returned them. Again no sorry and every disingenuous not something I have ever experienced at Stater Brothers this manager needs to be retrained for customer experience. Buyer beware on the flap meat and now I will be second guessing myself to purchase meat at Stater Brothers in the future. read more

Okay...Really? Paying extremely high prices. Not just Stater Bros., but everywhere! To buy something that is packaged and states the size and quantity.. Should definitely reflect the advertised price & size. These "large" 31-40 bagged shrimp are extremely small. Normally, I purchase over the counter 31-40 shrimp. Unfortunately, they were out. It's a shame that we pay for items that are advertised, in the mindset of what is...but sadly Not! It's just super disappointing. These shrimp are so very small. Not good for frying. Fiby in the bakery saved the day today! About a week and a half ago I placed an order for 2 dozen cupcakes and whoever took the order wrote down the correct weekday, but wrong calendar date, so my cupcakes weren't ready when I went to pick up. Fiby was able to find some unfrosted ones, 2 dozen like I needed, and frosted them for me while I did my regular shopping. If she hadn't stepped up, I would have had no choice but to take some Bluey and Pokémon birthday cupcakes to a work function tomorrow and she wouldnt let that happen. She said she wasn't a decorator and would do the best she could and they looked fantastic! Thank you Fiby!! read more

I'd like to thank Tito the General Manager for his service and taking care of customers and managing the business right under the circumstances of COVID 19. He has opened the store on this past Sunday by letting 20 People at a time to shop and that controls the Mob Rush of a panic in the community just to get the basics. If it wasn't for a good manager like Tito this would have been a mess of Hoarding the store on Sunday he was actually able to control the line outside and speak to everyone and let them know there are limits to what your buying and all agreed. Out of all of the Stater Bros. Markets located in Moreno Valley, this has been my go to store. I have found that their produce department have a wider variety of fresh produce than other Stater Bros. stores I've been to. The deli also serves up delicious fried chicken which I definitely recommend when having a party. Just don't forget to order ahead so when it's pick up time your chicken is hot and ready to go. The bakery department offer an array of special occasion cakes and cupcakes that are available daily or can be custom ordered. The meat and seafood department is located in the back of the store. Everything is always fresh, priced well and the butchers are great! Feel free to ask them questions you may have regarding the meat/seafood you are purchasing and if there is ever a need to have your meats cut, or seasoned, they will gladly do it for you. read more

The Manager is Awesome, will go out of his way to help in anyway he can and I asked about something they didn't have & he made sure they had it the next time. I like the atmosphere in the Stater Brothers. I don't like the misleading price tags that I can't read. I tried to purchase an item that had a large price and a very small price in the corner, which was the actual price. The cashier had to show me how the tag was advertising two items on the same shelf. read more

I recently visited this store and was having a hard time finding some items. An employee named Anthony A. helped me find some things I was looking for. I was glad he was able to get some things on the top shelf for me because I couldn't reach. Not only did he help me find items but he also helped me checkout. He rang up my groceries and put them in my bags for me. He was very nice and I appreciated his service. It is super rare to get great customer service like this anymore. This is the worst Stater Bros. I have ever been to. Every time I go in to buy alcohol its a problem. Because I have an out of state id, they have to call all kinds of people over to check and ask me my age. F***ing disrespectful. I have been to many places out of state to buy alcohol and have never been singled out that way. I will NEVER patronize this establishment again, especially if that is how you are going to treat me. For a number of years, we bought Tripe and hominy for Menudo at this store. This year the lady at the meat said in a dismissive tone: "we don't sell tripe here". It's a good thing that we have a Cardenas Market near my house, I know we can get our groceries there. It's too bad the current administration at Stater Brothers has so quickly overlooked the demographics that shows Latinos are the largest minority in the IE and the most loyal customers of Stater Bro's since the beginning. This review is only for their meat department on their 85% lean ground beef. I always buy the stater bros wrapped meat( picture no1). This time I made a mistake by asking the butcher his opinion about the difference between wrapped and fresh one ( picture no 2). You see the difference in prices! One of the better Stater Bros in the Moreno Valley area. The staff are friendly and the choices and variety of food and produce are excellent. Sometimes can be a little more expensive than Walmart but all in all great neighborhood grocery. Wish they would cater for kosher and halal meat. read more

A very clean store

This review is for the SUSHI kiosk just inside the entrance of the Moreno Beach Drive store... This was my first time at this Stater Bros and it's now my go to store! The Sushi Chef looked familiar and I think he previously worked at a local place that closed from covid. He was busy making platters that were displayed on iced shelves and clearly showed the times and dates produced. The sushi choices were limited to Salmon, Tuna and Shrimp he could reliably and freshly get all three from the meat counter. Now I'm not a "roll guy", but even I have to admit his Dragon & California rolls looked dang inviting! The sushi and roll prices are fair and IMHO a bit less than the per-order price one would pay in a restaurant. The shelf was out of Salmon and he was very happy to make a combo platter to my order, and had it waiting when I finished my shopping as promised. My wife was very happy at my find and since changed her shopping route as well. If you need a quick sushi fix, this is the place to go! The chef is only there from 7A to 7P and always leaves iced the racks full. But trust me, it goes fast! ENJOY! read more

So, has the price of mayo and mustard risen so much that you can't get some more packets with your deli sandwich? The prepackaged sanwiches come with only one of each, and that's cool---if you're satisfied with one packet of each. I was not. Still, the salesperson kept ignoring the question despite my gesturing toward the condiments behind the counter. I let it go, but I was a tad annoyed by it. I wasn't asking for the whole box of mustard and mayo, just some more for the sandwich I was BUYING, not begging for. It might not have been the salesperson's deliberate refusal, but marching orders given from above. If so, way to treat your customer, Stater Bros. Anyway, I'll stick to the Stater Bros locations closer to home. This is the second time I have experienced a disappointment at this location. I've liked this Stater Bros since it opened but I'm not sure what sparked the new remodel and turning this store from having 2 places to enter and exit into one is very odd. This is the only grocery store I've seen to have done this. In the case of an emergency and there's an evacuation this would cause a problem not to mention the inconvenience of one cart location in the store, parking on the opposite side of the store and having to walk past where the door use to be, or having to make a quick stop just to grab produce but having to walk through the whole store to get there. read more

Why do they always transfer the good management team to the newest store? This is for the bakery only. Ordered a cake last month for my daughters birthday. Specifically ordered buttercream since she doesn't like whipped cream and I love staters cakes. I was given a whipped cream cake. Figured they are busy, I understood and I didn't call to complain. Went in today to pick up a small strawberry shortcake. I ordered and the girl at the counter packaged it. Gave it to me in a big box which I thought was odd. Usually they just place a clear top over it. I literally got home to give this to my mom for her birthday and the cake was completely flipped over. In other words they got a tiny cupcake and placed it in a huge cake box with no plastic cover on top. Didn't even tell me so when it was bagged it was destroyed. So annoyed. CLEAN store. (Reason for the 4th star) Located in a newer complex with Subway, Wells Fargo, Jack in the Box, and a few others. I shop weekly, and have been here in the morning, afternoon and night times. No problems with parking as of yet, and never experienced it to be really crowded. It has a pharmacy inside (have not used it though.) Vegetable quality, inventory, and service are all comparable with any other supermarket chain. It wouldn't hurt to check their sales. At least 2 times a month, prices on items I frequently purchase are pretty good. (i.e. soda.) I'm not a bargain hunter per say, but I do know the prices on what I buy on a regular basis, and prices here are pretty competitive if not less. With that said, I may find it cheaper somewhere else (not too much cheaper =D..) but cleanliness is a huge reason I keep coming back, along with a pleasant shopping experience. read more
