Well, it's a station.
As I've lived in Dordrecht until the wonderful age of 18 I've seen the station undergo many renovations and redesigns. Sadly, none of them so far have made it work.
Dordrecht is a rather small station, having 8 platforms in total. There's also the bus station at the city centre side with busses that will take you into the city centre (handy if you're planning a city trip.)
The station itself: Unfortunately, things are rather badly signposted. The 'large screen' showing all platform information will be right there in your face when you enter from the city centre side, but if you're coming in from another platform, good luck finding it!
One thing I still don't understand is how they designed the passageways - they're a bit small and often cause people to miss their train connections because of bad flow.
The elevators often don't work, or are dirty to an embarrassing extent.
There is a Broodzaak, Smullers, and AHtogo. AH being the exception where it's open later than the other stores which close around 6pm.
Like I said, it's a station. When you need to pass through here, be sure to plan an extra few minutes to catch your next train. read more
