Luke called me almost immediately, and we talked about what was going on with my roofs (yes, plural). He did some wizardry and found the date of my last hailstorm, and the size hail that we had. Based on that information, we didn't have long to get in an insurance claim if there was one to be made. He scheduled to come out and inspect my roofs at my earliest convenience. He was prompt and professional. He even helped me file my claim. When the adjuster from the insurance company came out Luke was here to meet him and made sure that he saw everything that he needed to see to approve the claim. He walked with me through every step of the claims process, which was super helpful. After the claim was approved his guys were out here quickly doing the roof work. My barns were not professionally built, and so they had a couple of unique issues. Luke and his crew worked with me to find a good solution to those issues and to make sure my new roof would be right. They did the work quickly, and neatly. They picked up after themselves and left everything looking tidy. By the end of it, I was out just my deductible. It has been a few months since they did the roofs, and we have finally gotten a good rain. Everything still looks great, and everything is staying nice and dry. I would whole-heartedly recommend checking out Texas Metal Masters if you are looking for a roof, or if you think you might possibly need one soon. Oh, and since I filed a claim, I lost my "claims free discount." However, I got a new discount for having a shiny new roof, which was more than double the discount that I lost. So, after getting the new roof my homeowner's insurance went DOWN.

Our salesperson, Sergio, arrived at our home within hours of our request for an inspection and gave us a fair and honest estimate. Unfortunately, 1/4 of our roof was severely damaged and required replacement. The crew arrived a few days later and got right to work. They were very respectful of our property, covering our deck and multiple areas below the work area. They did a nice job of leaving the job site in good condition. The employees were super nice and very considerate of our dogs needing to come out to the yard for a potty break. They finished the job start to finish in one day and when they were done, the entire area around our house was clean. The closet he built us does not have a right angle in it and one side is a full inch and a quarter longer than the other, making it very difficult to find a door. The sliding door he installed is not centered so there's this weird filler on only one side. He didn't give us the correct measurements to purchase the door in the right size to begin with, which I think caused the off-center installation. Either he decided he couldn't do the work or got bored with the job, either way, he left us, for weeks, in the middle and went to do another job (very well reviewed, with pictures on Yelp). He made excuses every day (he was sick, his dogs got loose, Home Depot didn't have what he needed...) about why he couldn't come, never mentioning he was working on a different job. We only found out when we were looking through Yelp and saw their review. He finally showed back up with workers that he hadn't had before and asked that I pay half of their day's wages ($400 which was not an agreement in the original bid). The next time I saw him, he showed up around noon, got nothing done for a whole half day then left again. That was the day we decided we had to change. We needed the work done by March and he had proved we could not rely on him. (By the way we are still struggling, as elderly people unable to do the work ourselves, to get the work completed and it's now the following January). We had paid him in full for several jobs that he either did not do at all or did not complete. We requested a refund. He gave most of it back, in small amounts, with a couple of months prodding online, but never came through with the final $100 he owed us. I was angry, but now I'm just sad because he seemed like a nice guy, but as the job wore on it was obvious it was just too big for him and he had an excuse every day why he couldn't be here on time, why he couldn't be here at all and why he always needed more money. He would go to Home Depot every day and buy supplies that we paid for and one day he decided to buy himself a new power tool, that we paid for. I guess nice people have issues too. Sadly, I would not recommend him.
