I taught for Brian Jones the summer of 2016 in his performing etiquette camp. I was notified the day before I taught what my schedule would be. I requested to teach a 4 hour block since I was traveling from Marietta to Conyers (1 hr. drive). I agreed to teach the 1 1/2 hr. Ballet/Jazz class which included children from ages 5 to 18. I believe one of the boys was actually 3. Brian said it would serve as an audition class, however he only stuck his head in the classroom a couple of times and never split them into levels like I was told would happen. I had been told ahead of time that I would not be paid right after the class, pay was every two weeks. I contacted Brian about how I would receive payment and gave him my address so he could mail the check when it was pay day. I asked if the pay day was Friday June 17, he said Monday. Monday came and went and I did not receive pay or communication. I messaged him on June 27th and asked if he sent my check yet. I told him I would be leaving town and would appreciate communication from him. He responded on June 28 asking for my email address. He already had it, since I had sent my bio and headshot prior to working for him, but I sent it again on June 29. I reminded him on June 30th that it had been 29 days since I worked for him. He responded saying he would send the payment that day. He finally sent it June 30. He only owed me $60, but a friend of mine who also taught for him this summer has not received her check of $400 that he promised he would pay her on Aug. 31st. I told him if he doesn't pay her, I would go public and warn other teachers to stop working for him. He threatened to sue me. read more

Brian jones is a fraud. And he doesn't know how to conduct business. I signed my daughter up for his tumbling class and I should've known from the first class, he is a phony. For one he didn't have any paperwork on what to expect from the class, when payment is due, practices, performances, etc. very unprofessional, everything is verbal or through a text message at the last minute. When the kids need extra practice. That wasn't told ahead of time you'll find out once practice is over. I told him I was going to withdraw my daughter. He tried to get combative with me through text saying I owe $50 for registration to perform which she isn't going to perform so why should I pay that, plus $75 to withdraw. And the other kids are going to suffer because I'm withdrawing her..no offense but the other kids don't have anything to do with why I'm withdrawing her. Brian Jones is a con-artist. I purchased a $40 ticket from him on Sept 14th for a Falcons game held Oct. 27th. The advertisement for the game (which is what the $40 ticket is for) says 8:15pm when the game is at 1pm. I don't know if the flyer is showing the time of his dance performance but if this is the case, it should specify that instead of listing the game date and time as if this is the time of the game. He advised payments would be submitted as of Sept. 30th, after which, he would call and meet me to deliver the ticket. I called on Oct 3rd for an update but did not receive an answer. I submitted a contact request online via the website and he called back that evening to advise $40 tickets were sold out and I'd have to purchase the $60 ticket. I informed him I did not want a $60 ticket because I purchased a $40 ticket and expected what I purchased. He advised tickets were subject to availability and they were no longer available and he'd refund me. I texted him on Oct. 10th requesting proof of a refund or I'd initiate a chargeback. He then claimed he had the ticket and would deliver it. I advised his information is conflicting and his ethic is questionable because he tried to scam me to spend more money and never contacted me with any updates, changes, nor information, now suddenly a ticket is available and he hasn't issued a refund as promised a week ago. He then refused to process a refund and claimed he'd deliver the ticket. I advised I no longer want a ticket from him due to his questionable character and misleading information and deceit. Mercedes is Dead ON with her assessment. RUN, RUN, RUN and hold on to your money. If you see his number 4046682217 on his many websites with AIM, Stay Fit or Eventbrite events with or without the name Brian Jones.. Run away and if you still decide to try his services hold on to your money. His specialty is making parents angry enough to pull their child out of his class and forget refunds. He will make up a performance, allow your child to practice for months and at the last minute pull the plug as if there really was a performance and NEVER return ticket money, showcase money or fees all the while trying to bully you to pay more for his tired and unpredictable classes. Mr. Jones has no skills in business etiquette whatsoever! He gives a first impression of nice guy who really knows his stuff. However, after spending one class with him you know that he's a fraud. He is stuck in the 80's and is very self absorb. He is late for every practice and does not apologize. There have been numerous occasions of unannounced absences without a follow up call to his students. The parents of these students had to call him in order to determine if he was coming to class or not! He is not willing to take ownership for his inappropriate behavior towards clients ( rude and demeaning remarks). He seems to find a reason for you to fork over more money for unnecessary lessons. He is very vague about anything regarding his program. He gets upset if a customer is too inquisitive about the various issues that arise within the program. A very poor communicator and organizer. Therefore he is definitely a poor example of an entrepreneur. I support black businesses in any way I can, but when they care more about manipulating the money out of your pocket versus ensuring that you get your full monies worth than its time to go! HORRIBLE experience with this company. We purchased 10 hip hop dance classes for my daughter's birthday off Groupon and after 6 classes the owner/instructor, Brian, is now telling us he is no longer going to have my daughter's attendance. He is "no longer with Groupon so he cannot except her as a client anymore". Our Groupon is not expired, nor has it been completed. The whole experience was sketchy from the beginning, but I expected better from a place advertised for children. read more

We took two of our kids there for summer camp and we were super excited because he gave us a good deal, but it turned out to be a glorified daycare with a little bit of dance. We were promised yoga, tap, hip-hop, drama, arts and crafts, singing. We got a couple of days of arts and crafts, one day of drama, no singing, yoga was canceled for one whole week. Tap occasionally. Most of the time it was freestyle dance and free play time with some hip-hop mixed in there. And we got an English class because his wife is an English teacher - not what I'm looking for out of a dance summer camp. There was no structure and very few adults to supervise the 20 some kids that were there - So it was pretty chaotic. When I tried to get a detailed schedule of what classes were being held with times he could never give me anything definite, he said that it changes up. Which actually translated into we're not doing anything. Not impressed - horrible dance summer camp! We will NOT be back!! read more
