Nothing to detract from the overall experience. The staff were all exceedingly friendly and willing to help. Everyone I interacted with was smiling and cheerful. They have free cookies at the front desk in the afternoon, so when you come in after working all day you can have a cookie! Shout out to Melody working the morning breakfast and the front desk simultaneously. She was waaaay too perky so early in the morning! The hotel feels very modern. It seems to be very well kept. All the fixtures, furnishings, elevators, carpets, etc. were in good repair. The lobby and common areas were spotlessly clean. The door locks and keys worked well. Minimal misfires with the key cards. My room was fresh smelling and also very clean. The AC worked very well. Towels and linens were fresh and decent. One interesting thing if you are a member of BW Rewards. If you are willing to forego the housekeeping service, they will credit your account with 500 bonus points for each day you do. There was a card to hang on the door to let the maids know. Needless to say, this has likely become my go-to hotel when I am in the area again. I am a fan!

Very direct, very efficient, and exactly the person you want when you have a question or need something handled correctly the first time. He struck me as a manager type--serious in the best way--and I always felt like things were under control when he was around. Laura was simply sweet and kind every time I interacted with her. No attitude, no rush--just genuinely pleasant and helpful. Sometimes that alone makes a hotel feel welcoming, and she nailed that. And then there's Christina. Her smile could honestly turn around a rough travel day. Every interaction with her felt upbeat and positive, like you were being helped by someone who actually enjoys what they do. Seeing her at the desk was a little daily boost--sounds small, but it matters. Hotels are buildings. People make the experience. These three absolutely did. The pool was green with algae and unsafe for swimming! I notified the desk and they told me it would be cleaned by the next day. The next morning it was still green but lighter. By that evening I asked if the pool was safe for swimming and was told yes. We went out to the pool and there were three people at a table that had been drinking. They had a dog running loose all over the fenced pool area and it charged the gate and started barking viciously. It had no leash evidently. One of them picked up the dog and held it. We went in the gate and went to the other end of the pool. They were loud and using cuss words, and they also put the dog back down! Needless to say, we were unable to stay at the pool. 3. At breakfast the morning we were leaving, I wanted to have a cup of strong coffee to help me with the 6 to 7 hr. drive home. The coffee dispenser was empty. There was an employee emptying the trash and I asked if there might be coffee soon. She responded that she was busy ... "having to clean up all of this mess" and that she would get coffee when she was done. I asked her three times during 10 minute intervals for 30 minutes if there was going to be any coffee. She replied that she was the only one there, she had to clean up all this mess, waving her hands around like the whole dining room as she was sitting in a chair doing nothing. I said that I really would have appreciated coffee with breakfast but she never made an attempt to go make any. I asked the front desk about it and she said it takes a while for the coffee to prove and I told her it had been 30+ minutes. Also, my bill was one amount, and I was charged nearly $60.00 more. When I called to inquire what the EXTRA UNKNOWN charge was for, I was told it was for "incidentals" which I had never heard of before. Nor was it discussed when I made the booking or when I checked in. It looks like I'm going to have to dispute the charge through my credit card in order to get my incidental charge back. I will not pay it! I DO NOT APPRECIATE BAIT AND SWITCH. There's no customer service at this location. I will never stay here or any other Marriott again. They evidently have a new policy... No guests or customer service... I have been online all day trying to clear this up and the website will completely wipe out everything I've typed and I have to start over. Seriously frustrated and unhappy.

They seemed very apologetic about it and made it right. The breakfast was superb as the breakfast attendant America was so kind and greeted us. The breakfast was warm and fresh as it was constantly restocked. I was impressed because I usually eat breakfast a bit late and the breakfast items are usually out by the time I go eat but this time to my pleasant surprise it was all stocked in this hotel. After a sleepless night, my husband went down to get breakfast, he passed trash outside the room down from us...two or three bags just hanging out in the hallway. But he really enjoyed seeing the large box of Coco Pebbles cereal by the elevators spilling over the trashcan. I received an email to check out online...the internet was so bad I could not download the app. I told the desk clerk, she argued with me and said oh we don't do online check out. So why the HELL did I receive that email!! NEVER, NEVER again will we stay at this hellhole!!!
