Horrible service and it wasn't even crowded. We got charged for the wrong items and they didn't fix the issue that they caused. Seriously need to give some Yelp love to this Steak n Shake, for being the best location to visit. Fully staffed and very fast getting out your food, and always quick to bring you whatever you may need. I am praising this Steak n Shake because not all of them are this awesome. quite the opposite. Yes, this location is jam packed on the weekends, there was a line waiting on this Saturday. I suggest going to the location they truly are the best. I'm not happy at all. Ordered our food and I pointed at the menu so I got the right burger. Did I get the correct burger?? No. Husband's chili came out first. Then about 30 minutes later our burgers came out. Burgers were cold. Fries were cold. No chili 5-way for me. It shows up 15 minutes later. We love Steak 'n Shake's food and the prices are great, but they are so slow on getting your food out. We went last night. Ordered one hamburger, fries and a chili mac. We had someplace we needed to be and thought this would be a quicker place than a restaurant but still better food than a fast food place. After waiting over 35 minutes, I went up to the waitress and asked her about the food. She looked at the tickets hanging up and said there were still four more tickets ahead of ours, meaning that there were some people who had waited even longer for their food! We couldn't wait any longer, got the manager and asked him to have our food to go, as we were going to have to eat in the car to get to our appointment. He did give us our food for free, which we did not expect, but seriously you should not have to wait almost an hour to get a couple of items. By the time we actually got the food it was 45 minutes later. If we would have kept sitting there, would have easily been an hour. We could have went to Pasta House and had faster better service. We will not be going back any time soon. They are too worried about their drive thru customers and do not pay attention to how long people actually sitting in their restaurant are having to wait. Completely ridiculous. The food is not that good (or decent quantities) to wait that long. read more

Awful service! Our whole experience took over 1 1/2 hours for 4 people (2 of them being toddlers). We watched our food sitting in the window for a good 15 minutes before it came to our table. We were stupid enough to order dessert which took another 15 minutes. The only reason we got it was because the manager checked on us and went back to make it... however, she didn't bring it to us but left it for our server to bring out which took even longer. The worst part is when your server knows it's taking longer than it should and ignores your table instead of addressing the problem. Then it was free kids day but if they split the check we lost the discount? Longest experience for a couple burgers and fries ... won't be back! read more

Went to the Steak and Shake in Arnold on Jeffco Boulevard after I got off work. I ordered two number 10's which was chicken fingers french fries and sodas. I got home and started eating and got through two pieces of chicken. After eating most of the third piece, I noticed it was raw, not undercooked, Raw! I went back to the drive-thru and asked for my money back after showing the guy the raw chicken. He was going to refund me $3 for my one order of raw chicken. I told him I wanted all of my money back which was $13 and some change. He refused and began to act like I did something wrong. After he refused, I asked for the piece of chicken back and he said no I'm not giving it back to you because you gave it to me. I explained to him that I paid for it and I wanted it back. He then decided he better give me my money back, so he did. My immune system is suppress due to my medication. This could result in a very serious illness for me. read more

Very very bad service. We went in the drive through and it was around dinner time about 6:00 or 6:30 we waited before getting our order taken 25 mins! And once I finally ordered they said that it was gonna be a 10 min wait, we were like okay that's not that bad. 35 mins later we were still waiting. I feel bad for the person in front of us because they waited the same amount of time and all they got was a shake. Also all we got was two small meals and 1 shake and it took an externally long time. While we were waiting we noticed that they wouldn't take the order of the next person until our food was done which seems kind of dumb. They food is alright, it is sort of like mcdonalds but much pricier for what it is. I am not very satisfied w the shake because it leaves like a layer of crisco in my mouth which is not very enjoyable. Also when we finally got our food they just gave it to us with out saying thank you or sorry for the wait. They need to get some better workers there that will actually do there job! That is why I think it deserves 1 star. I would recommend Culver's is a five star place take your money there! Steak and shake is very disappointing. read more

When me and my dad where there it took 1 hour for are food to be ordered then it took 20 min to be asked what to drink. Then we forgot my purse we left it for 2min and it was gone it had $49 in it so I wish I could give it a 1 but are meal was free. And they didn't even give my dad enraging like.
