Don't trust the low reviews this place is IT! We were looking for an easy but amazing steakhouse on a Thursday evening- we were sat right away and the service the entire evening was superb steaks were cooked to perfection and the appetizer was also delicious (artichoke dip) my son ordered a rib eye he said it was not over seasoned and he loved it. I had the filet mignon and again cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back- maybe even over the next few days! Thanks for a lovely evening and an awesome experience

My husband said it was the best New York steak he's ever had. Very tender I had salmon and it was very good, it just didn't have a side

Food was not bad but for what they are charging, its not even right. Calamari appetizer was for sure previously frozen as it was rubbery and a joke for charging $16. 10 oz ribeye with mashed potatoes and veggies for $38 is plain stupid. Meat was so thin and the potatoes tasted like spud flakes out of the box and veggies looked like was from a elementary cafeteria. ONLY thing worth it there was their 89 cabernet from Rutherford Hills for $44. I was so disappointed and left hungry that I had to stop by McDonalds and get some chicken nuggets.

We loved our dinner here. We all wanted a great steak and we did get that. The host and our waiter were all so friendly and helpful. I had the fillet which had the most amazing char on it . Every one else had prime rib. For the most part every one was happy. My husband's had a little more fat than he likes. We sat in their peaceful quiet beautiful patio. Great perfect weather. Can't wait to go back

Our experience here was really odd. First of all, the dining room is freezing. It was almost as if they had the air conditioning on in late February. It was actually warmer outside at 8:30 pm than in the dining room. Our server was very friendly but easily distracted, frequently forgetting things. The music was obnoxiously loud given how few parties were in the dining room. The caesar salad was missing the white anchovies, the mushrooms were pretty much standard button mushrooms, and the "loaded" potato was pretty light on the garnishes. The steak was the highlight of the night--perfectly cooked and just smoky enough--but the steak was not enough to overcome the other weaknesses of the service.

This place was gorgeous! We came here after a Jeep ride in the Sedona mountains. But we were still welcomed in our casual gear. The food was spectacular, especially the steaks! But the ambiance...wow! This is definitely a must when in Sedona! Great drinks, food and service! We had a great server by the name of Angie who was funny and took great care of us!

What kind of beer do they have?

They recently redid the whole bar area. The bar is much bigger now and with that came more beer, with some being craft beer.

I was seated outside next to a delightful courtyard in shade with soft, warm breezes. I had the Prix Fixe menu, selecting Chilean Sea Bass as my entree. The meal actually begins with 3 slices of multigrain bread and 3 sectioned tray - olive tapanade, pesto and garlic-flavored olive oil. I really enjoyed the rich-tasting bread and the tapanade. The first course was the lobster bisque. This is not only a refined and tasty soup but there are many chunks of lobster meat (whoa). The bisque also has a slightly sweet and rich taste. The main course was Chilean Sea Bass. The well-grilled fish was placed on yummy garlic mashed potatoes. Also, gracing the plate were fresh green beans and a tasty choice of delectable dipping sauces for the fish. The final (dessert) course was Triple Cream Brie Cheesecake. This round cake was topped with a vanilla cream top - a rich and properly-sweetened end of the lunch. I highly recommend dining at Rene at Tlaquepaque.

We sat outside on the patio, absolutely beautiful weather and the tables are gently shaded by beautiful Brazilian Pepper trees. My only issue, I had bits of the tree in my hair, my water, my drink and my dinner. Our waiter Joshua was fantastic, a warm, gracious pro. PERFECT!! We started with the bone marrow appetizer. Maybe the best I've had at a restaurant. Came topped with a piping of mashed potatoes and bread crumbs. Perfectly cooked and served with toasted brioche bread, smoked sea salt and a bacon marmalade. It was delicious and huge. My only thoughts on making it perfect...Go ahead and salt your marrow in the kitchen and add another slice of toast. You are serving two big marrow bones, so don't be stingy with a piece of toast. All that said, this app was highlight of dinner. My daughter opted for another appetizer as her entree. She had the Spanish style garlic chili shrimp in butter. Looked huge and she said it was over the top fabulous. (I'm allergic to shellfish so I just took her word) She added some duck fat fries which were fine, but not great. I had the mushroom strudel and it was okay but frankly pretty underwhelming. Think it had been pre-made, filling was blah, flakey pastry was not, and highlight was a plucky little pepper sauce that was delicious but didn't really go with the main dish. It screamed for a nice cream sauce, and some butter in the filling. I love mushrooms as a main and this poor little pastry looked and tasted like a hot pocket. Now back to the positives. The dark chocolate soufflé with homemade crème anglaise is lovely and well worth it . My daughter also loved the prickly pear margaritas. All in all, really nice experience and meal. The kitchen obviously functions well and service is perfect. A few tweaks on the menu and this place is stellar. Even now, a Great special occasion restaurant and the location and lovely service made it special for us.

When Jim tells you this tour is custom to you, he's not kidding - just tell him what wines you like, don't like or even if you want to change it up to accommodate your husband (who doesn't drink a lot of wine) and add a brewery stop, done! He makes it happen and everywhere we went was absolutely wonderful. And did I mention he made it a dog-friendly tour?!
