On 10/18/24 i arranged to meet a tech from Steel Locksmith. We set it up for 10/20/24 to meet at the jump start parking lot. I spoke with the tech on the phone explaining the situation, he sounded like he was confident in making the repair on the phone. When we met up I could tell the tech didn't really know what he was doing, was on the phone with his "boss" told me it would be $250 and needed cash up front.... I reluctantly paid before services was preformed. Before he even touched a tool stated he needed another $400 because the job was alot more difficult. I told him no im not interested and just give me my money back. He came back and said ill do it for the original $250 that i payed. I supplied the brand new lock from oriellys. The tech messed with my truck for 30 mins came out and said we'll the new ignition came apart and I needed to pay him another $250 for them to supply one. I said hard pass on that. He said ok and started loading up his tools. I walked over to him and said how bout refunding my money. He got on the phone with his boss and said he can't do that. Called law enforcement they said it's a civil matter. So basically out $250 and they did absolutely nothing accept try to hustle me out of more money. I'll be taking them to court! Stay clear of this company!!! On a side note the "boss" is out of Florida, the company vechile was beat to shit and didn't have any company logos, tags out of florida. A one star review isn't low enough. My brother used this company to retrieve the keys from inside his locked car. the worker charged him $125 for this service. We later find out that this company only charges $65. We confronted the company and they said they would refund the money that was overcharged. We drove down to their location to pick up the refund and the man who did the service denied charging him $125 and asked him to show a receipt which he never gave him. The company is now refusing to refund the money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, they are thieves and take advantage of innocent people. Especially with the world as it is right now, how can someone honestly steal from a customer? I hope you enjoyed your GENEROUS tip and I hope karma gets you good.
