You must get the Brussels chips! So simple but SO good! They're $5 during Social Hour which runs 2-7pm daily. For entrees we enjoyed the cilantro-lime shrimp and halibut fish & chips. The cornflake breading would be perfect for those who prefer something other than beer battered. There's also a new cocktail menu with more rolling out soon. The new GM, jay, is awesome. Overall a great time!

Can't say enough about this place. The service, vibes and the steelhead fillet were unreal. We will come every time we visit Spokane for sure.

Y'ALL. If you haven't been here, you are SLEEPING on this place. I came for dinner and got the steak bites and fries, and my fiance got the chicken tacos. The steak bites were absolute perfection, cooked in the perfect sauce and omg the FRIES.... Shoestring perfection, chefs kiss all around. It was salty and crispy and perfectly seasoned. Best fries in down hands down. My Fiance's chicken tacos were amazing (I mean look at the picture??, they're stunning). The service was great, our server was nice and attentive and very fast. We stopped by before the Vision Quest screening so it was a great spot to get dinner. Super chill vibes, could be date night or just meeting up with friends. I definitely recommend this place!!

First time trying out this place. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They answered our questions. The service was excellent. The food was delicious. I ordered the steelhead hamburger and it was very delicious. The prime philly also was very good. The fries were delicious as well. We went around 4 pm and the restaurant was empty but as soon as 5ish it started getting busy. We also tried a cider , it cinnamon caramel. Great spot for food.

The apple pie was AMAZING! The servers were amazing, only making sure I had the best. Laughed my way through my ice cream! Ambiance was kind collective and easy! Will be back. Scottie was awesome.

All things mid. This is a place I'd come back to for a beer and salt and vinegar fries. Friendly service, pub grub. -Large paid parking lot behind the restaurant. - the atmosphere inside looks fun- lots of high bar tables, pub grub, flashy cocktails. - enjoyed our starters- salt and vinegar fries and smoked steelhead - salads were meh - this is a place where I looked at the menu and nothing jumped at me. Would have loved a non-meat burger option. Hub and I shared the fish and chips which was okay.

Sat at the Bar. Good service, but the French dip with the crispy onions was soggy and inside of the sandwich and I opted for a side salad instead of fries and the salad was warm and limp. In realizing and observing, looks like they were very short handed. The bartenders were seating and served the tables. I did like the music and the vibe of the restaurant.

I visited steelhead for the first time since before Covid last weekend and it didn't disappoint. It had familiar menus items and overall they were pretty good. The interior of the restaurant also hadn't changed a bit from what I could remember. The service was good. Nothing over the top - they were attentive enough, but not too much so. As for the food, I started with the pork burnt ends. They were much drier than I was hoping. It was essentially jerky, but they were in happy hour so not bad for the price. For my entree I got the steelhead burger and it was flavorful and cooked the way I liked it. I got it with the salt and vinegar fries on the side and loved them! One of my kids got steak medallions and fries and liked them fine. Although, it comes with very little steak (it's also only like $10) and my other kiddo got Mac and cheese with fries. This was a little more sad - it was definitely old Kraft Mac n cheese. It looked dry, sad, and cheap. All in all it was a good visit. I'm not in a rush to go back, but I also wouldn't be opposed if I was downtown and looking for a meal.

This is my favorite restaurant in Spokane. They have a great cocktail selection with friendly and knowledgeable servers. The ambiance is great for date night and is a blend of mood lighting and old brick building mixed with contemporary industrial. The food is awesome, super tasty and priced in alignment with the local market. So not cheap but definitely worth every cent. Well worth the experience!

A nice evening out to the Steelhead. Needed to focus on vegetarian meals so ordered the corn, fish and chips and shrimp. All very tasty! Fries are definitely a go to. Great service. Here's to a night downtown!

The food was amazing. I would've been truly happy with the appetizers and the drinks alone (a restaurant should be considered amazing when all you want to do is eat all the appetizers on the menu). I knew this was going to be an amazing restaurant when I told the host the name on the reservation and someone snuck in and taken our table. So the starters were amazing, the drinks were wonderful, the people at the table next to us raved about the schnitzel. That was the only thing they would eat on the menu, but I looked over and they were tucking into a piece or two of their friend's pizza. My only regret well at least two is that I don't live close enough to go back there and finish eating all the appetizers as well as having a chance to try the desserts. This is a place that truly deserves recognition for the ambience the drinks, the starters and the main dishes. Get a reservation... Have drinks, starters a couple main course dishes and let me know how the desserts are. Hopefully, I'll be sitting at a table next to you sharing how much I love this meal.

First off, I was looking for an authentic Napoli style pizza. Like a fresh red sauce from crushed tomatoes and a beautiful chewy, pillowy, yet charred crust. The verdict: Wooden City is the winner! The crust is really really good! The sauce is a bright beautiful tomato sauce that looks like crushed tomatoes however, the sauce was lacking flavor:( I would give this pizza a 3 out of 5. The crust is a 4 1/2 star but the sauce lacking in flavor..brought it down to a 3. Cute place, very pleasant friendly staff..way friendlier vibe than Barrelhouse. The boys are easy on the eyes for younger girls on the hunt! Lmao Don't bother with the Margherita pizza at Barrelhouse. Thank God I only paid $12 for the Margherita Monday deal of half off! The crust was horrible! Dominos has better crust! Costco pizza's had a better crust! The sauce has flavor, very garlicky like fresh garlicky but more of a paste with a load of oregano in it. The cheese didn't have that fresh taste I was hoping for. However, they are known for their Detroit pizza's which I haven't tried but if it's the same sauce, I would pass. Not saying it's bad but it's just not MY cup of tea whether it's for a Detroit style or any pizza. Now you don't have to guess which place has a better Margherita pizza. I wouldn't even pay $12 at Barrelhouse for a marg. Would I come back, yes, if I were in my 20's.. lol but since I'm older and the food is more important to me...no...:/ But hey, maybe their other pizza's are better! I can see a salty pepperoni being good!

It wasn't horrible by any stretch but it wasn't great either. My mom got the veggie breakfast burrito and she liked the veggies though it was bland, felt like it could have had more sour cream & cheese. It was massive and came with a side. The added 16% service fee is some real BS. It says on the receipt that it's split between the server & the kitchen staff. The biggest issue right away was how long the food took. It felt like we were waiting forever, and by the time it finally came out, it definitely didn't feel worth it. We started with the pretzel, which honestly was nothing like a pretzel. It tasted more like glorified fried dough and didn't have that classic pretzel texture or flavor at all. For drinks, mine was way too strong and just didn't taste good. It wasn't balanced at all and ended up being hard to even enjoy. For my main, I ordered the Cascadia burger medium, but it came out clearly well done and overcooked. On top of that, the egg on it was severely undercooked.. some of the whites were still clear and slimy, which completely ruined it for me. I had also heard good things about the mac and cheese, so I gave it a try, but that was another disappointment. It was bland and runny, and even after adding salt and pepper, it still had no real flavor. My husband ordered the chicken sandwich, which wasn't terrible, but it was definitely on the dry side. They were also out of fries, so he had to get fruit instead, which was kind of disappointing. Overall, the food took way too long, the quality didn't match the price, and the experience just didn't live up to the hype at all. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

The atmosphere was really enjoyable -- the space has a great vibe, the drinks were well made, and overall it feels like somewhere that could become a favorite spot downtown. The food was decent as well, though not especially memorable. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the positives. From the moment we walked in, we felt more like an inconvenience than welcomed guests. The host greeted us while remaining seated at the bar and simply told us to "sit anywhere," which immediately set an odd tone. When I asked for paper menus, I was told they only use QR codes. Normally that wouldn't be a huge issue, but the menu was around 15 pages long with tiny font, making it frustrating to navigate on a phone. Once our food arrived, we essentially never saw our server again. No check-ins, no refill offers, no asking if we wanted another round of drinks -- nothing. Meanwhile, staff members were gathered at the bar loudly talking among themselves and openly complaining about being there, which was uncomfortable to listen to as customers trying to enjoy a night out. Eventually, we had to walk up to the front bar ourselves just to pay our bill. That was the most disappointing part because the restaurant truly has the foundation to be excellent. The ambiance and drinks are already there, but hospitality matters just as much as the food. A little attentiveness and genuine customer service would have completely changed the experience. We absolutely would have ordered more drinks and likely stayed longer if anyone had checked on us. Hopefully management takes service more seriously, because this place could be great with the right staff culture and attention to guests.
