i stayed here twice and overall thought the accommodations were quite nice. the property is very large with grounds to walk through, golf course, fitness center, restaurant, bar and lounge area, and multiple wings of rooms. since i was going to be spending a lot of time both at the gym and restaurant to meet clients and coworkers, it was convenient that they accommodated my request to stay in a room much closer to the central area. in fact, they gave me the closest possible room to the gym.
the gym is large with rooms for treadmills, yoga/ballet, and plenty of machines and hand weights. it also has two access doors, bathroom, and water fountain. it was very clean and never felt too crowded.
i really liked the restaurant. breakfast buffet was a little expensive, but extensive with the traditional cold meats, cheeses, and yogurts, as well as numerous hot dishes. i also was able to eat a lot of fresh fruit and they had gluten free options for my colleague.
i went a few times for dinner and thought it was very nice food although pretty expensive. there is a wide option of traditional german food as well as a multi-course themed dinner that rotates on a nightly basis.
the rooms are nice, but a bit difficult to regulate the temperature. they were very hot in september but pretty cold in november, and the thermostat did not seem to work for anyone. i also didn't like that the bedding was just one single comforter, so i ended up removing the cover from the bedding itself to give myself variation in layers. read more
