Support local when you can. I love going to local coffee shops and cafes when in smaller towns. Found this place as I was driving down Main Street. Pulled over to get a coffee before long shift. Super cute and clean. Young girl at counter was very friendly and nice when I took a little extra time trying to figure out what I wanted. On the large board behind the counter was the special drinks and food for the month of February. I decided to get a chocolate cherry iced latte with white chocolate instead of milk or dark. I also got the white chocolate strawberry scone. The scone came warmed , it was so good I should have gotten 2 of them. My iced drink was good, even with swapping out of white chocolate it was tasty but a bit on the sweet side. They also have milk alternatives, I got oatmilk. I like that they use paper cups to help with the over use of plastic cups and not a lot of places to recycle them. read more

Stellar Coffee was an absolute must-stop for us--and not just for the alien nostalgia (though Roswell fully leans into it, and I love that). The second you walk in, you know this is the coffee spot in town. The music, lighting, people, and overall energy made it clear why it was packed. Aliens everywhere, local art and curiosities lining the walls, and that effortlessly cool, eclectic vibe where you don't know where to look first--but in the best way. The food and drink held up just as well. Coffee and teas were solid, with a local tea vendor on site doing samples and selling loose-leaf blends, which was such a great touch. I had a vegan hummus salad that was genuinely good, plus some food bites, while my husband loved his burrito. I also stumbled upon handmade origami earrings (cranes and roses!) that I was obsessed with, along with books, swag, and random treasures--at one point I picked up a Japanese art book I would've bought instantly if it had been for sale. And just when you think you've seen it all, the space keeps going: a wine lounge in the back, a roasting operation, more rooms to explore. Huge credit to the staff--only a handful of employees holding down a nonstop crowd, all with great energy. If you're passing through New Mexico, even if Roswell is slightly out of the way, Stellar Coffee is absolutely worth the stop. Unfortunately I was really disappointed with this place. It was so cute on the inside and I was pretty excited as it smelled nice and the place was busy. But when I got my chai tea latte I just about choked on something's in my drink. Very hard brown things and on top of that my drink was not good tasting and had a very strange aftertaste. As if they didn't use real milk or something. Very sad. The smoothie was also quite hard to drink as it too had a strange taste to it. read more

Stopped here after walking the shops downtown. I was happy to see a coffee shop! The cappuccino was ok and my niece got an apple juice. She's a kid but she said "the foam scares me, but I give it 3 out of 5 stars. Also it's WARM". It was freshly juiced and I don't think she was expecting that. I tasted it and it wasn't bad. A very good coffee spot with a fun, eclectic atmosphere that was not pretentious in any way. The clerks at the counter were polite, but they were staring at their phones and I had to greet them in order to get their attention. The coffee was very rich and hearty, but they didn't leave room for cream as I had asked them to. I ordered the green chili turkey panini and it was very flavorful and topped with very fresh veggies. I was a little disappointed that it was advertised as "oven roasted" turkey, but was actually just turkey lunch meat. Still, a very good sandwich that was well prepared and was served very quickly. Came here on a Saturday early morning in December. Nicely decorated coffee shop. Had a seasonal drink menu. I got a seasonal drink named Snoop Fog. It was a nice and refreshing tea. Vanilla gave a good amount of sweetness, and the mint flavor didn't bother me at all. My partner got a Red Eye. It should be really strong because first he couldn't finish it right away, and second he didn't need any caffeine for the rest of the day. It wasn't an extremely busy morning, yet our drinks took a long time to prepare. I also noticed the couple behind us in the line got their drinks before us. idk, maybe it depended on the type of the drink. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. Really nice coffee ship with a nice selection of coffee, tea, and other beverages plus a nice food menu. Check out the back of the shop for extra seating and a local art display. There are also lots of board games for your entertainment. The baristas were nice and singing and joking while they turned out delicious drinks. I got the special Black Bear iced latte and it was excellent. You could actually taste the coffee! My companion got caramel latte and it similarly was not overly sweet. Coffee is ok, tasted a bit stale and a little burnt. Food is bland as always, lack of options to put on it. Was weird that my food for eatting there was wrapped put in a box and I wasn't the only one. They have plates, I watched others get them, so maybe if they stopped wrapping dine-in food, they can cut costs and maybe drop their high prices a little. Ordered a kids temp hot chocolate for my 4 year old. It came out SCALDING HOT! Not just normal temp hot either, as my wife and I also tested it, and it was boiling. Staff needs to be careful as this could have been much more serious, especially as this was for a kid! Is this coffee I got? I can't tell, I can't taste the coffee, drowned in this cup of lukewarm milk. I could swear I had ordered a latte... The veggie wraps and date energy bar we ordered were much tastier than the coffee, thank goodness. I tried ordering the chocolate protein bar but it was wet, so I returned it. Turns out both bars in the display plate had been steeping in an unknown liquid. Not yummy. Thankfully the barista offered to replace my order for something else after I reported the unknown substance cross contamination. Stellar coffee is a caffeine oasis in a dry desert of chain restaurants and fast food. We were stuck in Roswell overnight because of car trouble and needed a place to hang out for the ENTIRE DAY! Stellar was the perfect place. Great vibe, hip music, warm, and plenty of space to spread out. I had a White Mocha which was probably one of the best I've ever had. The staff weren't rude, but they could be a little friendlier. The bathroom was weird because you have no way of knowing whether someone is in there. So I'm sure it's common while you're doing your business to hear someone entering the code outside and jiggling the handle. This happened to me several times in one sitting. A deadbolt that shows "occupied" on the outside or something might help with this. Aside from these miniscule gripes, if you're ever in Roswell (or mysteriously stuck), abduct yourself over to Stellar Coffee! read more

I really want to love this coffee shop, however whenever I order something I receive attitude and slow service. I have worked in customer service and used to work in a coffee shop. I know how to smile, make small talk, and be fast. I am aware that that is too much to ask for now. The ambiance is great. I love that they show and sell local art. I just never want to spend my money for an overpriced coffee that is ever rarely good. The quality of the coffee and food is mid. I used to like the pastries until I kept finding hair in it. I was only two hours into my trek back to the Los Angeles area when I reached Roswell, NM. I have been here countless times, but haven't been back to this UFO town in a few years. The trusty Yelp app came in handy (8/10/20) when I searched for "coffee" and "breakfast burrito." Needed both! This place "Stellar Coffee" came u and got some rad reviews. So glad I tried it. Because I was on the outskirts of town I decided to phone in my order. Not sure if they use any app services for takeout orders. The lady on the phone was so nice and helpful. I made it there in a matter of minutes and had to wait a bit more, but it was not too bad at all. As soon as I got there I called her again and asked if they could bring it to the back parking lot as I had two little ones with me. The Green Chile breakfast burrito ($6.79) was a decent portion, but there sure was quite a bit of tortilla. Fairly tasty. I did not like the salsa at all. It was like Picante sauce to me. My girls each got a burrito ($6.79 ea.) too. Not sure of the verdict. Too late to ask. The 20-oz. iced latte ($3.79) was a hit, though. I would definitely go back for another coffee, but pass on the burrito. My grand total was $26.05. They took plastic payment from me when I arrived. Cool murals next door. Pro's: Dog friendly, some outdoor seating Con's: Chai latte was basically a milkshake, cold brew had way more than the splash of cream asked for (was also basically a milkshake). They made warm drinks and put them with ice for iced drinks. Don't come here if you want good drinks. Although it seems your only other option here is Starbucks, BUT we would have preferred Starbucks to this. Stellar coffee is definitely stellar. Saw this spot recommended a few times and after reading some reviews, I was confident it was a good choice. Seasonal option of pumpkin latte was a perfect choice and it paired nicely with a yogurt parfait. A nice added touch of choosing my toppings from a list (all or just a few) to make the parfait just to my liking. A very enjoyable experience. Cute coffee shop with ample seating. Unfortunately, the customer service (or lack thereof) is NOT Stellar! It's quite obvious that the Baristas would much rather be on their phones or gossiping- that's okay but at least greet your customers. Not being acknowledged when we approach the counter or for that matter, upon entrance is unacceptable. We were ready to order and were standing at the counter but ended up walking out because the German or Ukranian barista wanted to argue with my husband. What's deplorable, is that my husband and his group go in and get coffee at bare minimum 4 times a week. They should know their names, what they drink and have those drinks started once they enter the door. This has happened twice in the last two weeks, once with myself, and then the second time with my husband and me. Is this a big deal? No, not to someone who is passing through........but they'll never get my money again- husband hasn't been back. We stopped in to get a quick bite to eat and a couple coffees. I had a dark chocolate mocha while my partner had a white chocolate mocha. We both really wanted to like the white mocha but it just wasn't to our preference. The dark chocolate was delicious, though! I would definitely get it again.
