I can't express how much I enjoyed my dining experience at Stella's. The staff were wonderful and inviting from the moment we walked in. The drinks were perfectly made nice, strong, and flavorful. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. The codfish fritters had to be my favorite, perfectly fried without being oily, just pure deliciousness. I ordered the Stella's Tasting, and it was more than enough food for two. My friends enjoyed their meals as well. Since it was my birthday, the staff came out and surprised me with a very delicious carrot cake. Moist, not overly sweet, and the perfect way to end the meal. We were craving Caribbean food and I've been curious about trying this spot out for a while so when my husband suggested it was an easy Yes! I had their passion fruit lemonade which was refreshing and not overly sweet. For my entree I ordered their oxtails and rice and peas on the side. Their oxtails were cooked perfectly, the meat was falling off the bones. I would like it to be a bit more spicy and some more Lima bean but maybe thats just my own preference. When I asked for some spice the server brought us some pepper sauce which was exactly what I needed! My sister tried their jerk wings and mac and cheese. Their Mac and cheese is WOW. Definitely recommend! I didn't try their wings but I tried the sauce that comes with the wings and it had a lovely kick to it. For dessert we shared the Plantain Paradise and the ice cream paired so great with the plantains. It was vanilla ice cream but didn't taste like regular vanilla ice cream.. it had a nice rich texture . Absolutely delicious! We tried the vegetable roti and the chickpea curry. Both dishes were good, but the roti was my favorite - full of deliciously spices vegetables and smothered in a curry sauce. 01/24/2025 Another amazing meal consumed. The passionfruit Margarita was yummy and strong. The corn soup spoke to my soul especially on a cold winter evening. The ackee tostones were yummy. But the star for me was the curried crab tostones. The flavors that danced on the tongue was sublime. For mains we had the curry shrimp and fish. I had the escovitch delicious as always. I went here for a friend's birthday brunch/dinner. It was a group of 10 of us so we had the downstairs space all to ourselves. It was a little....drafty down there but the music wasn't too loud so we were able to gather and chat without yelling at each other. The service was good, no complaints. And the food was actually really good! I had the cod fish fritters and it was soooo good. And the oxtail surprised me because sometimes, restaurants can be hit or miss with it. The menu is not overwhelming at all. The space is cute a lil narrow but does the job. Food we shared appetizers; cod fritters, mussels, and ackee tostones. Eventually he emerged from the back and said you can sit anywhere. Once seated the menu looked really good. We did the curry crab tostones 10/10 Salmon crab balls 8/10 Ackee tostones 9/10 Sweet Chili tamarind wings 8/10 Geerah fries 8/10 I ordered some mix drink from the happy hour menu it was tasty. This Carribbean spot is neat, clean, trendy, and the staff are hospitable and welcoming. For brunch, we had an array of options to choose from. We shared the Oxtail hash with eggs and the curry goat entree. The Oxtail hash was flavorful, and the skillet it came in was adorable. The curry goat flavor was ok overcooked, so the near was a bit dry. The curry gravy and rice were tasty. We ordered the tasting plate to-go. We chose the Jerk Chicken, Curry Goat, Oxtail and two sides, Mac and Cheese and rice and peas. The pictures looked good, and the reviews sounded good, but the tasting plate had way too much salt it. "Oh my, the salt was too heavy in these dishes." The only one that was ok was the Jerk Chicken because the jerk seasoning usually is a package deal, so you don't need to add much else but the basic seasoning to marinate the meat. Since I appreciated the Oxtail Hash while at the restaurant and their hospitality, I didn't want to take away from those positives. However, note to the chef or cooking team to please be easy on the salt or the use of combination seasonings that make food almost too salty to eat. Thank God I don't have high blood pressure, but a lot of folks in our community do so it would be wise to consider this fact in meal preparation for clientele. read more

Food is delicious and filling. 2 weeks ago I tried the jerk salmon and it was cooked extremely well. Last night I ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas. Sweet Plaintain as a side. And pumpkin corn soup. The soup was tasty but on the oilier side and not thick like I would like. The sweet Plaintain was 10/10. I've been wanting some good ones for so long. We were able to walkin Saturday around 8 with no reservation, and the restaurant was pretty packed. Service was good and food came out in a good amount of time. I'd skip the salmon crab balls as they weren't very excited and lacked flavor. We got the tasting plate, which was good and still had leftovers. I've eaten here twice once for brunch and another time for dinner. The food quality is consistently amazing, and the drinks are poured to perfection. Heavyn was a great hostess both times and one of the chef/owners asked for our direct feedback on our experience and vowed to improve anywhere we felt that he fell short.
