You are given 4 rings and simply put them around the hangers of the dresses you like. You can then try on those 4 before going back out to choose another 4. The dresses are samples from shops so they generally only have 1 in each size and when they sell they are gone so be aware of this if you fall in love with one! It was moderately busy for 1130 on a Saturday. We got a changing room straight away though. One of the assistants helps you out when you get changed then she kindly suggested some dresses she thought would suit me as well and went to get them. They had some stunning things in my size. You are possibly a size bigger than normal here so beware when choosing! I could have happily bought 2 of the ones I tried on. The lady also helped me try on matching veils. I had gone in there looking for something plain and low key , but ended up with something quite the opposite, and wow what a dress I had , it was beautiful,and I wouldnt of even tried it if it had nt of been for Jennie, encouraging me to try all kinds of styles and colours and taking the time to show me how to make the most of each gown,she was a star.It was a very exciting time for me and they all joined in the excitement and made sure my mum and sister-in-law ,who were with me , felt a part of it at all times.Emma the hairdresser and make-up lady was FANTASTIC and is a complete assett to them on the day she was so calm and so in control and I actually found her very,very reasonable,unlike a lot of salons who automatically treble their prices once you put "wedding "in front of hair and make up. Overall my time with Jennie and the staff was really good they did everything possible including delivering my dress on the day with snow and ice all over the roads . I went in with a friend who was fitted with a shirt and a gorgeous skirt when she got a really good job, and needed to look the part. The shop was deserted but looked really plush. All red, and with an old school looking motorbike as decoration with various garments hung up along the back. The lone sales assistant was very polite and helpful. It really did feel like 5 star treatment, but lets face it we were probably the only customers in that day - if not that week. Prices are steep. For one of their mens Pink Label suit prices START at £850 but you are getting something that will fit perfectly and last for ages. Drapers recognises the exceptional service that Nicholas Jones provides. Good quality fabrics, stylish and sensible garments - real grown up clothes. I'm not quite ready for my fitting yet but one day I will be.

They had a small opening event with local bloggers / 'VIPs' but also managed to continue the feeling of a launch through their first day, with some smartly dressed waiters handing out drinks in paper cups while people took their first look at the store. I was also greeted by the friendliest front of house / security I think I've ever met, which was a nice surprise! The items are categorised well and everything feels like it has a place, including shoes upstairs and a beauty / homeware section downstairs with some perfume and candles I can already tell will be a regular feature in any future present buying. Although they seem to specialise in light colours and fabrics, dig around a little and you'll find some beautiful metallics and items more suited to the Manchester weather! If Evelyn's is the most Instagrammable restaurant in the city, & Other Stories is the same for fashion. Excellent natural light and desirable products; hopefully they'll stick around for a while.

The ground floor was actually pretty organized this go round but it's really hard to find an employee to assist. One issue is possible because the employees look just like a regular shopper so you are unsure who to ask except the cash register individuals. The escalator going to the second floor was broken, so you will have to walk unless you can get on their elevator. On the second floor they also have self checkout and exchange and return registers. When I was asking an employee a question that was at the exchange/return counter, she was really on edge which I am unsure why. She finally just dismissed me and told me to go to another counter to check out since the self checkout machines cause so many issues. All I needed was an employee code to proceed with taking the locks off. Went up to floor three and the cash register employee that assisted me was so sweet and helpful! Normally I love Zara's for odd and end pieces but this one could work on customer service and working with finding a way to help the layout more shopper friendly.

Back in college I used to see Warehouse labels on many things my friends wore, and I'd think, yeah, that looks great on them, but it wouldn't suit me. And this is something which has remained with me to this day, as my clothes rails are noticeably Warehouse bereft. One thing I can't knock is the jewellery. Warehouse stocks some fabulous earrings and a lot of amazing statement necklaces and bangles. In fact, the accessories are where it's at, with lovely scarves, patterned tights (a favourite sock drawer staple of mine), clutches, oversized bags and innovative things like 'arm warmers'. Hey, with all the goshdarn length sleeved coats we see these days, you need inventions like this. I genuinely don't know what it is about the clothes though, it seems that nothing ever grabs me. I'm not saying they're not nice, perhaps it's just the colour or feeling of functionality, I really can't put my finger on it. You might love them though, so I do suggest you give Warehouse a visit and see if there's anything in the sale that tickles your fancy. As far as accessories go, it's a fabulous little shop, and this standalone store in the Arndale makes for varied shopping.
