We really didn't know where we were going to send him to preschool or whether we would be able to send him at all, but we were granted a preschool open doors scholarship and that was the reason we were able to send him. This preschool is such a hidden gem. I had no idea a preschool existed there until we went there for the tour. I couldn't tell what the classes or school looked like from the website so I was happily surprised by the large green lawn and playground for outdoor playtime. The class size was also small so the students get a lot of one-on-one attention from teachers and aides. My son was very apprehensive about starting preschool. He had never been to daycare so it was all very new for him. The first day he hid under the table and they were eventually able to coax him out. He quickly got more and more comfortable and made friends with his classmates and absolutely loved his teacher, Aunty Krisi, and all of the other sweet aunties who worked in the office like the director, Aunty Cheryl. They were all so kind and made each child feel seen and special. He matured SO MUCH socially, behaviorally, academically and in confident independence from the start of the school year to the end. It was truly amazing. Even now that he is in kindergarten, he still tells me that he misses preschool and his friends and teacher. They did crafts every day and spent time outside on the big lawn playing and getting sunshine and fresh air (which was so important to me as I didn't want him to be cooped up in a classroom all day). There were even times he didn't want to leave at pickup because he was still playing with his friends. I especially loved all of the beautiful crafts he made for every holiday and the cute dances and songs they practiced and performed to celebrate special occasions. The teachers took pictures and videos almost every day of my son engaging in different activities and learning new skills and at the end of the school year gave us a fully loaded USB drive with all of the pictures and videos from the whole year. The incredible amount of care and love they give to each student is amazing. I could not have asked for a better preschool experience and now I tell anyone who is looking for a preschool to consider sending their children to Keiki Care Center of Hawaii!

The teachers, administrators, and staff are friendly, helpful, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the students and their families. My younger son is still there, and my older son who is now in elementary was very well prepared for kindergarten. I am so thankful we found KCCOH, and I highly recommend it!

I believe everyone makes mistakes and everyone has a chance to make up for that mistake. Today I spoke with Kyle who works in the office and he immediately broke everything down and made me come to an understanding on why their Policy had to go into effect that second, I finally had a better understanding and I take full responsibility on my part of not reading the Policy in the first place. My negative review prior to this one was based on one incident with one individual and not on the entire school. As mentioned in my last post My son attended Alphabetland since November of 2014 and had only one Incident happened which they corrected right away. I usually work in the noon/evenings so all I do is the dropping off part but My Husband does the picking up and he interacts more with the teachers and the office. My Husband loves everyone in the office and also mentioned that they are always polite and well organized. Like I said earlier My Husband knows everything and everyone better than I do. I'm happy that I got to speak with Kyle and that we both came to a better understanding. Other than this my overall experience with Alphabetland has been Great and I highly recommend this school to all.

From my moment we stepped onto the campus the vibe and atmosphere was nothing but negative. The…read morecampus was dated, with poor, unkept landscaping, rusty gates and fences, and dated equipment and structures. On our son's very first day of school there was nobody there to welcome him or attempt to soothe his understandably high levels of fear and anxiety. His angst was met with cold and harsh reactions, no smiles, no understanding or compassion. Upon leaving him we immediately felt uneasy but hoped it was just us as parents being overly anxious and protective. However, the situations worsened. Aides and teachers lacked communication, supervision, and soon thereafter even proper care and hygiene for our son. The staff was unable to tell us if our son ate, if/how long he napped, and their cold and careless attitude and disposition seemingly worsened by the day. When we picked him up daily the updates were forced, lacking in basic information, and had no undertones of care or concern for either ourselves as Parents nor for our son who were all adjusting to his new school environment and family dynamic. On the second week we dropped our 2 year old son off at school at 8am. Upon picking him up at around 230pm he was wearing the exact same diaper! His diaper was heavily saturated a soiled! The situation was photographed and properly documented immediately by my wife. Upon notifying administration they admitted to breaching procedures regarding diaper changes. They allegedly spoke with the staff who claimed they had checked and changed our son. However, the diapers we provided to the school were NOT the diapers he was wearing upon pickup. Their claims and stories were blatantly false. We dis-enrolled our son due to our mounting concerns and requested a pro-rated refund for the reminder of the month. The school refused. The school lacks modern updates, but more concerning is the staff we dealt with lacked the care, compassion, and patience that young preschool aged children need.

She gradually showed signs of withdrawing, getting anxious, angry and difficult, and finally terror when I'd drop her off. Within 2 weeks of starting I pulled her out because NO ONE could give me a good explanation of her behavior change and my gut instinct told me SOMEONE was treating her wrong when she was there. No one came forward. I didn't want to pursue it any further as there are good employees there, but not good enough if they weren't willing to stick up for the children when something wrong was going on. Maybe that person is no longer there, but I just wanted parents who are thinking of sending their children here to be EXTREMELY WARY. I CANNOT EXPRESS THIS ENOUGH. My daughter transitioned well into another albeit more costly program, BUT at least its SAFE, she LOVES going there, she LOOKS FORWARD to going, AND the program is known for its QUALITY education.

I spent months…read moretrying to find childcare that I was comfortable leaving my child with six or more hours a day, five days a week. It is EXTREMELY hard to put trust in someone to care for your child while you are gone the majority of the day! Prior to coming to this school, I had checked out 10 plus in-home childcare providers, as well as 5 or more childcare facilities. Nothing compared to how I felt when I visited St. Timothy's preschool. I was so disappointed with the other places that I was considering staying home with my child until she became Kindergarten ready. So take it from me when I say, this school WILL fulfill the job duties you are looking for in a provider. The whole team works well together, I have witnessed this daily. The classrooms are very clean which seems to be a hard task for many of them, so I very much appreciate the fact that they focus on having a clean classroom and put a lot of attention in good hand washing for staff and the children, and the carpets get professionally cleaned nightly from what I hear. The school yard is separated by 2 different areas based on age groups and they even have a well-cared for sand box and many bikes for each child to play with. You never hear loud words or inappropriate communications/discussions going on. These group of women are here for the children and it was such a breath of fresh air to see this. From the beginning, myself and my daughter was welcomed and was given plenty of time to get comfortable with the school before I let her go at it alone and they didn't mind, in fact, the Director welcomed it and the teachers supported it positively. They were very patient with me, and despite my child crying a lot in the beginning, they were very loving, caring, and understanding of both of us. Daily I see these teachers play, sing, laugh, read stories, and support each child's emotional, intellectual, and physical development in many ways. My child loves to come to school here! She tells me she wants to go see her friends and teachers every morning on our drive there. My child is currently in the Buzzy Bees classroom and they do a phenomenal job in engaging them daily. Ms. Judy and Ms. Rena are the two teachers that lead this classroom, but I have been witness to the teachers that come to help out at different times and/ or different days and they are all very loving and supportive to the children also. I say this many times, because it is not for "show" for the parents, I can really tell and feel my child's demeanor when she is dropped off and picked up how she feels about her school. The school also participates in the creative curriculum which stimulates their early learning education. They do arts and crafts, put on school programs, parties, learn about each others cultures, just to name a few. I am above satisfied with this school and all their hard work they do daily. It is not an easy task to care for children all day, everyday, and they seem to do it effortlessly. Some may say this school is pricier, but take it from me who has seen and interviewed a lot of childcare providers; it is worth it, and less than some schools that in my opinion are sub-par.

My daughter wet the bed at night often and would pee in her pants during school. This all started when she started going here. She would also cry every morning before school. This was her 2nd year going to preschool. Her first year at a different school she had none of these issues. I finally spoke with Ms. Jen one day after school. She had no soul, no empathy to my concerns. Much more was discussed which led me to believe that she was unfit to be a teacher. I immediately walked to the principal's office and said this would be my daughter's last day. I got her in another preschool nearby the following week luckily.
